Great Arabic restaurant. Very friendly staff. I had the cold appetizer platter and then the warm appetizer platter as my main course to sample many different flavors. Everything was fresh, very tasty, and authentically prepared. I'm looking forward to trying more dishes. Good value for money. Highly recommended

Tabii! I'm sorry, but I'm not sure what to do. German translation: --- We visited the restaurant because of the many vegan options and the very positive reviews. When we arrived around 4 p.m., there was no one there except us, but the waiter still didn't arrive for about 10-15 minutes. The menu read "White beans with veal and tomato sauce," with "also available vegan" for €14.90. When we asked what would be served instead of the veal, we were told: nothing at all, just the meat. The price, however, remained the same. This seems incomprehensible, since the most expensive part of the dish was omitted. From that moment on, the waiter was unfriendly, no "Bon Appetito" or anything else. Furthermore, the lettuce leaves on the plate were already brown and inedible. Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend it.

We had been there earlier. A warm welcome was followed by truly friendly service. The ambiance is also stylish and inviting, making it easy to linger. We ordered an appetizer platter with bread, lamb with rice, and a mixed grill. The meat was wonderful and incredibly tender, the pasta for the appetizer was also delicious, and even the tea was excellent. Today was our first time at Al Furat in Leer. We each opted for a main course, as other visitors had reported the portion sizes to be generous. We were not disappointed. Both dishes were attractively presented and made us want to try the food. Shortly after we started, we were asked if we would like bread as a side dish, to which we replied yes. The flatbread served went well with our dishes and (unusually for these times) was not charged extra. After the meal, we were asked if we would like dessert. After we said no, we were offered a free mocha, which we gladly accepted. A sweet dessert was also served on the house, which was delicious. All in all, a successful evening with very friendly and attentive staff. The ambience of the restaurant seems a bit austere and could certainly use a makeover, but given the delicious food, this was of secondary importance to us. We will gladly return to delve further into the Arabic cuisine, which was new to us.

Absolutely solid spot. AL FURAT Restaurant in Leer (Ostfriesland) serves up legit Middle Eastern food—fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Portions are generous, prices are fair, and the meat is always tender. Staff is friendly, place is clean, and the vibe is laid-back. If you're anywhere near Ostersteg 52, this place is worth the stop.

A young waiter served us, and when we thanked him, there was no response. Last time, a different waiter was there, and he was friendly. Since we were among the first guests that day, we could hear all the background noises. The waiter was watching videos at a very loud volume, and the conversations from the kitchen were also very loud.

I'm giving it two stars because the food was a disappointment. The vegetables were from the frozen section (clearly evident by their taste and shape), and the beans tasted like they came from a can and were very salty. Unfortunately, for us, it wasn't an authentic taste experience. Despite the friendly service and the inviting atmosphere, we expected more from Arabic food and have had better meals elsewhere.

We were famished and stopped here not expecting to be swept off our feet by the beautiful aesthetics and hospitality. We mainly speak English and very little German but our server was able to accommodate us and made our experience very enjoyable! I highly recommend this restaurant, their lamb and chicken is very succulent and there is a rich variety of flavors on the menu to choose from! I’ve never had hummus so rich and their Taziki is fantastic!

Very good food, great staff A little chilly in the restaurant

The food is incredibly delicious. I had the mixed grill (71) and didn't quite finish it, so I'm pretty fed up. My wife had the Kibbeh Mishwiyeh (75), which is also a real treat. It's supposed to take about 45 minutes to prepare, but we hadn't even finished talking and everything was already there. Let's say it was 30 minutes. The server was a little unmotivated that day, but that's not the norm. Normally, everything runs smoothly there. For the price, a really good restaurant with fantastic food.

Yes, we can recommend it without reservation! Very delicious food – cold appetizer plates, warm appetizer plates, and veal with okra. Alcohol is not served, but non-alcoholic beers and wines are available (Update: Alcoholic beverages are now also available). Perfect for us! Super friendly service and spacious rooms.

We visited Al Furat today and we all really enjoyed our meal there because the food was simply delicious. We were completely satisfied. We had a very diverse range of guests: those who like to try new things and those for whom everything beyond schnitzel should be "enjoyed with caution." Everyone found something delicious and went home happy. Thank you for the great food. Tip: Keep the baklava a little warmer. Tip 2: A little indirect, especially warm white, lighting would improve the ambiance even further :) We would love to come back!

From the first moment you felt: This is not just about the food, but about real hospitality - honest, warm and soothing. Arabic-Syrian cuisine is a feast for the senses - diverse, cleverly seasoned and simply delicious. Every bite was a delight! The ambience? Cozy, stylish and full of character. The service? A true masterpiece of attention and friendliness – Chefs Kiss! As if that wasn't enough, we were served tea and milk pudding on the house at the end. Where can you still find something like this today? German gastronomy could learn more than just a few things here. To everyone who still harbors prejudices: Open your hearts - otherwise you'll miss the best! One thing is certain for me: When we are in the area again, there is no way around this restaurant. A real insider tip with soul! :)

Very, very tasty, appetizing dishes and extremely friendly service. Vegetarians also get their money's worth. I find the selection of non-alcoholic wines and beers remarkable. Unfortunately the restaurant is in Leer and not in my hometown of Berlin. I would become a regular.

The food here was absolutely brilliant! Good portions (I could not finish) and the flavors are superb. I would advise anybody with a bit of an adventurous taste to go here. Just don’t be in a hurry, because the waiter wasn’t either ;)

Two main courses were too salty and not edible. The starter plate came with the main courses, even though it was ordered in advance, everything was just frozen goods. Third main course was okay, although quite dry. The service seemed clumsy and the atmosphere was not very comfortable. Food is overpriced for the quality offered. We won't be coming back.

I visited Al Furat Restaurant for the first time with my aunt and her boyfriend and the first impression when we walked in was very welcoming. A very nice overall atmosphere in the restaurant. The people who work there were really very accommodating and friendly. As far as the food goes, it was really refreshingly different in my opinion. A welcome change from all the other restaurants in Leer. I can only warmly recommend Al Furat to everyone.
