Al Capriccio in Köln

Ich war dort nicht essen ABER: Freitag kam meine Freundin und ich spontan auf die Idee, sich einen Pizzastein zu kaufen und Pizza machen zu wollen. Daher, dass es zu spät war, um selber Pizzateig zu machen, kam mir auf den Gedanken, einfach mal frech anzurufen und Nett nachzufragen. Circa 45 Minuten später konnte ich mir vier für mich fertig eingepackte. Ich nenne es mal Rohlinge Pizzateig abholen. Dieser Teig war sowas von unwahrscheinlich lecker dass es da wohl auch lecker sein muss. Sollte das weiterhin mal möglich sein, kommen wir gerne immer wieder darauf zurück. Das war auf jeden Fall einer der besten Entscheidungen und hat uns auch übers Wochenende gerettet. Immer wieder gerne

Top Restaurant, super lecker, wir kommen wieder

Von Pizza bis Fleisch war immer alles super. Zwei Sterne Abzug für den Service da wir/ich mehrfach zu wenig Wechselgeld raus bekommen haben. Der Kellner, und es war immer der gleiche, war so schnell weg das man nachher andere um Hilfe bitten musste. Wenn man darauf achtet kann man hier sehr gut essen.

Tolles Essen. Sehr nette, aufmerksame Bedienung, angenehmes Ambiente. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder.

Sehr freundlicher und aufmerksamer Service. Wir waren kurz nach 18 Uhr zu zweit ohne Reservierung dort und konnten uns einen Tisch aussuchen. Innen ist es viel größer als es von draußen aussieht. Es wurde dann stetig voller. Vorweg gibt es Brot, Oliven, Kräuterbutter und Dipp. Wir hatten zwei Pizzen (Prosciutto und Spinaci) und sie waren 5 Sterne wert, besonders die Prosciutto schmeckte wie in Italien aus dem Steinofen. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist okay.

Gaaanz toll! Service, Ambiente, Preis/Leistung, Personal, alles prima. Gerne wieder.

Nettes Ambiente, nicht erschrecken wenn man auf Englisch angesprochen wird. 😊 Die Pizza Tirolese fand ich nicht so lecker. Die Pilze waren irgendwie komisch.

Ein wunderbares italienisches Restaurant! Die Atmosphäre ist warm und gemütlich, man fühlt sich sofort willkommen. Das Essen war einfach hervorragend. Besonders beeindruckt haben uns die hausgemachte Pasta und die perfekt abgestimmten Aromen. Der Service war sehr freundlich, aufmerksam und professionell, ohne aufdringlich zu sein. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder und können dieses Restaurant wärmstens empfehlen.

Ich war inzwischen schon mehrmals in diesem Restaurant essen. Man verspürt eine gemütliche Atmosphäre und das Flair eines echten italienischen Restaurants, in dem man sich sofort willkommen fühlt. Die Portionen sind im Verhältnis zum Preis mehr als fair - man bekommt immer große, ordentlich angerichtete Gerichte. Am authentischsten finde ich den Service - Die Kellner sind alle samt sehr aufmerksam und kümmern sich um jedes Anliegen der Gäste. Klare Empfehlung!

Bin total entsetzt was ich mir von Dr Bedienung an hören musste...das allerletzte...nach der Nachfrage ob alles ok war...sagte ich war etwas zu wenig Gemüse und Zuwenig Kartoffeln...aber das Fleisch war gut.... danach kam von der Bedienung die seisen Tür wäre offen..das aller letzte...heute war ich das letzte Mal da...gar nicht zu beschreiben...danke für den arschloch Abend

Wir hatten am 2. Weihnachtstag einen Tisch für mehrere Personen am Abend reserviert. Leider war das Restaurant komplett überfüllt. Wir wurden im "Wintergarten" plaziert, direkt neben einer Tür. Diese stand ständig offen, da der Service hier regelmäßig durch musste. Es zog dort extrem kalt hinein, so dass man während des Essens fror. Die Qualität des Essens war OK (allerdings sehr fettig), die Portionen waren überschaubar. Die Preise waren aber definitiv zu hoch. Der Service kam aufgrund der Überfüllung nicht hinterher. Zum Ende hin fragte man uns, ob wir den Tisch räumen könnten für eine Kleinigkeit auf Kosten des Hauses. Als dann auch noch die Rechnung nicht stimmte, waren wir bedient. Ich glaube, an dem Abend ging so alles schief, was nur schief gehen kann. Trotzdem versuchte der Service alles, um aus der Situation noch das Beste zuholen. Wir werden mit Sicherheit nicht wieder kommen.

Wir hatten heute am 2. Weihnachtstag mit 7 Personen einen Tisch für 16:00 h reserviert. Der Empfang war freundlich und die Bedienung anfangs sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Es gab eine reduzierte "Weihnachtskarte " mit jeweils 5 Vorspeisen, 5 Pastagerichten, 4 Fischgerichten und 5 Fleischgerichten, für Nachspeisen gab es keine Karte. Die Preise waren an Weihnachten entsprechend angepasst. Wir hatten Vorspeisen, Hauptgerichte und Flaschenweine ! bestellt. Das Essen wurde zügig serviert, war sehr gut, jedoch Vorspeisen und Hauptgang sehr kurz hintereinander. Als wir jedoch nach 1 1/2 Stunden noch nach der Karte für Nachtisch fragten wurden wir schon freundlich darauf hingewiesen, dass der Tisch anderweitig benötigt wird und wir bitte zum Ende kommen sollten! Bei der Reservierung damals wurden wir jedoch nicht darauf hingewiesen, dass es ein zeitliches Limit gibt und waren entsprechend erstaunt. Es wurde uns "freundlicherweise" ein Zeitlimit von knapp einer Stunde eingeräumt, um noch einen Nachtisch zu bestellen und dann auch bitte zu zahlen und zu gehen, der Tisch würde dringend gebraucht. Hätte man uns bei der Reservierung über ein zeitliches Limit informiert, wäre es kein Problem gewesen, aber so grenzte es an einen Rausschmiss. Gerade zu Weihnachten, wo sich die Familie zum Essen trifft, will man doch das ganze genießen, aber in diesem Fall durften wir noch nicht einmal nach dem Nachtisch noch einen Digestiv bestellen und wurden zum Zahlen genötigt! Nebenbei hatte man uns auch noch 4 teure Getränke! berechnet, die wir gar nicht hatten in der Hoffnung, wir würden es in der Hektik nicht merken....... So freundlich wie der Empfang anfangs war, so unfreundlich hat es geendet........

Es gibt wirklich viele Italienische Restaurants, ABER hier ist es besonders gut. Wir waren ein paar Mal hier und hatten immer eine super nette Bedienung und sehr leckeres Essen. Wir haben sogar unsere Weihnachtsfeier vom Karnevalsverein dort gemacht, was eine wirklich gute Idee war. Was für ein herrlicher gelungener Abend! Es waren wirklich alle zufrieden, das muss man erst einmal hin bekommen. Ich bedanke mich bei dem gesamten Team für diesen schönen Abend. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

Empfehlenswert auch für Gruppen

Ich war heute mit meinen Kollegen zum Mittagessen und es war ein tolles Erlebnis. Das Essen war köstlich und der Service sehr freundlich. Wir waren eine große Gruppe und wurden problemlos bedient. Die Pasta Carbonara war sehr lecker und meine Kollegen waren ebenfalls sehr zufrieden. Ich kann dieses Restaurant wärmstens empfehlen!

We've been to Al Capriccio several times now, and our expectations have been met every time. The food is delicious and appealing. The staff is always friendly and accommodating. The ambiance is clean and well-maintained. We'll be happy to return again and again.

I was lucky and lived practically right above. After settling into the new neighborhood for a while, I thought we'd visit the restaurant downstairs with the family, since we see each other all the time, the place is always full, and you can always smell the wonderful scent of fresh basil. When we arrived at the restaurant, we noticed that the ambiance was truly beautifully designed. It was almost like being on vacation, forgetting reality for a moment. The prices are, of course, a bit more expensive than usual, but this was made up for by the good quality of the meat, seafood, pasta, etc. We ordered a wide variety of dishes from the menu to try as much as possible. Among other things, we ordered steak, pizza, pasta, and seafood. The steak is cooked to order, and everything we ordered exceeded our expectations. The pizzas also had a completely different, high-quality flavor compared to traditional pizzerias where you can just order in a hurry. You could honestly say that the pizzas here are among the best in Cologne. When we were there, it was, of course, quite busy, as usual. This meant that the service suffered due to time constraints, but the staff were still polite and always friendly. After this visit, we often ordered pizzas to pick up and eat them upstairs in our apartments. Always a treat, but unfortunately, we live a bit too far away now. If I do find myself in the area, I'll definitely indulge in another meal there.

We've been customers at this restaurant for over 20 years. Unfortunately, we won't be going back. The service was abysmal, and the prices were absolutely exorbitant. Without starter, dessert, or wine, the three of us paid just under €100. There are better, cheaper, and friendlier restaurants. We'll be going there in the future.

I first visited this restaurant with my family 30 years ago. Back then, the service was top-notch, and the owner and his family were always friendly and tried to offer their guests the best possible service. But unfortunately, that's no longer the case. Guests seem to be treated differently depending on how often they come. The food is still good, but you can get just as good food elsewhere. Many guests may still feel comfortable in such an atmosphere, but you won't see me there again, as I prefer to spend my money where I'm still welcome as a guest.

Unfortunately, the service was disappointing. You feel like a nuisance rather than a welcome guest. The service is unqualified and the manager greets guests with a stony expression, arrogant. Even though the food is really good, my family and I won't be visiting this restaurant again. There are plenty of other restaurants in Dellbrück where the owners, in particular, are always attentive to their guests and the concept of hospitality is not foreign.

I'm stunned by the discrepancy between the deliciousness of the food and the service, which bordered on hostility. The shower of beer my father-in-law had to endure on his first visit was the highlight of the hospitality. Every further interaction with the service staff only emphasized how unwelcome we were. On our second visit, we reserved a specific table on the terrace, complete with a highchair. The service was quite surprised by our arrival; the table we wanted was occupied, and so we were banished to a table in the middle of the restaurant, saying we had to move a bit closer together. The highchair was then squashed comfortably into the corner, and there was no sign of child-friendly cutlery or a plate. The fact that none of this matched what was promised during the reservation was met with a shrug. The service was otherwise very bad-tempered, and you could feel it. This frustration makes it impossible to rave about the delicious fettucine al tartufo and the carbonara. After two visits, I'm certain there won't be a third. The truly excellent food doesn't deserve this kind of service, nor is it worth this kind of treatment.

I recently went here for lunch with my girlfriend today; the restaurant was very busy. I had gnocchi with spinach for main course and panna cotta for dessert. And to finish, a grappa. The sole with tagliatelle is highly recommended, as are the delicious pizzas and gnocchi. 😋🍜☕🍷

NEVER AGAIN!!! We've never been greeted and served with such indifference, worst of all by a woman who was simply irritated and arrogant, who had no decency to thank us for the tip, which was only for the good food. NEVER AGAIN!!!

This Italian restaurant not only has great food, but also a diverse ambiance. The main restaurant offers plenty of niches and a larger dining room, making it just as suitable for a tête-à-tête as it is for a class reunion or family celebration. Next to it is the conservatory, entirely made of glass, which is lovely, especially when it's not so warm. In summer, there's an outdoor terrace, which can be sheltered from the rain if it starts to drizzle unexpectedly. The food is, of course, the most important thing – it's excellent – large portions, always freshly prepared, and very tasty at a very fair price. I wholeheartedly recommend it. We always feel at home here.

We were at this restaurant today on a Friday evening around 6 p.m. with a group of 10 people who had a reservation. The food took a while to arrive because we weren't fully booked yet, and when we finally ordered, every table in the restaurant was full. The food was good, although the prices were high, but the quality of the meat and the ambiance made up for it. Unfortunately, the waiters' attitude was a bit odd, with some snide remarks and misunderstandings, but it was bearable. When it came to paying, we asked to pay individually, and the waiter disappeared. Twenty minutes later, we approached a colleague who was passing by. She replied somewhat rudely that she had told us to go to her colleague at the front of the counter one by one. We hadn't been told this, but we complied. Since some of us didn't speak German, we walked in small groups to avoid any misunderstandings. The waitress grumbled/complained loudly that we weren't following her instructions. We told her we found her manner very rude. She showed no leniency, but instead became arrogant. While her colleague was cashing us out, she repeatedly took the card payment device from his hand to cash other guests. She yelled at him in front of us, other guests, and colleagues that she also had to serve, and then added insult to injury in her Italian. I have a lot of understanding for a busy shop and the job, as I've done it myself for years. Simply rudely and disrespectfully yelling at guests and belittling colleagues in front of the entire team casts a very bad light on the colleague and creates a bad atmosphere not only within the team but also among the guests. I've never been so annoyed with a waitress. What a shame for the shop.

Al Capriccio is currently my favorite Italian restaurant. From the service to the delicious food, it's simply WOW! The best in Cologne for me. I haven't had such a delicious fish platter anywhere else in Cologne 😍

Review for Pizzeria Al Capriccio, Cologne We visited Pizzeria Al Capriccio one evening in Cologne. Opinions online vary widely – and we can now understand why. I had a pizza that was really good – both in terms of taste and dough. My wife had a salmon salad, which unfortunately didn't impress her at all. Rather disappointing in terms of both taste and composition. What left the decisive negative impression for us, however, was the behavior of the staff – presumably the owners themselves. Unfortunately, there was no sign of hospitality. It felt like we were more of an inconvenience than welcome. The only bright spot was a young employee who seemed friendly and attentive. Perhaps she's new to the team – and we hope she maintains her friendliness. It's a shame when long-established restaurateurs seem to stop making an effort, especially because the business is apparently doing well. This kind of indifference or even subtle arrogance might be perceived by some as "cheeky charm" – we found it simply unpleasant. Conclusion: I had a good pizza, but we still won't be coming back. There are enough alternatives in Cologne where you can feel welcome as a guest.

I was invited to Al Capriccio today and it was a great evening! The service from the boss and his son Riccardo was very attentive, warm and personable. The food was simply delicious, from the tuna capaccio that was made in the shape of a heart for both of us ladies, to the great fish with vegetables, to the wonderful dessert plate that we had created ourselves! The recommended rosé wine and the beautiful ambience were the icing on the cake on a very successful evening. We felt very comfortable and would be happy to come back at any time!

The quality of the Italian cuisine is outstanding and worth every penny. So do the wines we selected. Despite the full house, the waiting time today corresponded to normal expectations. We've been going to this restaurant for years. We have never experienced unfriendliness. Prices have barely increased in recent years. It's a mystery to me how some of the reviews here are. Nice place for a wide variety of honest Italian dishes. Honest sizes too 😉. Had Pappardelle with Salsiccia and Porcino. Delicious.

A nice restaurant - in summer with a covered outdoor terrace. The service was very friendly and quick. The pizzas were definitely the best in Delbrück and the surrounding area. There was also a vegetarian selection. We'd love to come back!

I was there on June 19, 2024 and received a very friendly welcome. And as it should be, you don't just go to a table, you wait. I was taken to the Tusch and served very nicely. The wine was well-tempered and the water was cold. Lavish greetings from the kitchen with fresh bread. Pizza craving was satisfied with pizza rocket, Parma ham and Grand padarno. Richly documented. I like to eat risotto if it's on the menu somewhere. Same here. I only write reviews if it was particularly good or particularly bad. Unfortunately the second one today. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated and the covered garden is beautifully done. The Vitello Tonnato looked like it came from the supermarket. The risotto was the worst thing I have ever eaten. Totally dry, not creamy, the tomato sauce is just thick and tasteless. The parmesan was completely missing. The whole thing was more like a thick rice casserole than a risotto. The service was pretty good. Nothing to come back for. It's a shame that the IN Italian was in Dellbrück. It's been a long time.

Very friendly, very tasty & a relaxed, friendly atmosphere! We all had something different to eat and we were all very happy! As a starter there was a free large portion of bread & pizza rolls with olives, herb butter & aioli! Gladly again :) P.S.: The truffles were heavenly!

Very happy with the overall package. My spinach pizza was excellent and everyone also enjoyed the three pasta dishes at the table. The price for the portions is absolutely reasonable. The service wasn't too intrusive and took orders at just the right time. The outside area is cute, Italian music was playing on the radio. We would be happy to come back.

The restaurant is comfortably decorated. Food and drinks/wine are fine. Unfortunately, although only a few tables were occupied, the service was not satisfactory. We were a group of 11 people and were registered. There was a good hour's wait between the starter and the main course, which we pointed out and were rudely reprimanded for saying that some of us had also had a starter. I didn't understand this hint because that was exactly the problem, because some people hadn't eaten anything after 1.5 hours. Other tables, however, which were occupied much later, received their food much more quickly, so I had the feeling that the process there urgently needed to be reconsidered instead of complaining to the guests.

Ordered via Lieferando. Antipasto di verdura was delicious. The spaghetti with scampi wasn't worth the price as the scampi wasn't fresh (like rubber!). But local deserves a 2nd chance, e.g. B. Paella.

A few days ago: Never again! A “little man”, who is probably the boss, seems to be full of complexes due to his small size and is a terrible host, we almost felt sorry for him... we had never eaten so badly! The service from the little host, we thought it would be impossible, was even worse, actually non-existent 😉

Wir wurden sehr unfreundlich empfangen, man könne nicht einfach reinkommen und sich einen Tisch aussuchen! Obwohl das Lokal so gut wie leer war und blieb und das für weitere 2,5 Stunden. Unfreundlich hat er uns drei einen Tisch zugewiesen. Ehrlich gesagt, so toll finde ich euch gar nicht. Es gibt bessere Restaurants mit besserem Essen und vor allem freundlichere Restaurants. 6,90€ für einen Grappa finde ich auch völlig überteuert. Der Thunfisch auf den Pizzen war trocken, der Käse geschmacklos. Ihr seht uns nie wieder. Ich kann mein Geld überall ausgeben und werde mit Sicherheit auch freundlicher empfangen.. Stopped by spontaneously, great service, very nice waiters and delicious lasagne. We'll be back the next time the family visits.

Very nice staff and very attentive. The food was delicious and we didn't have to wait long. Appetizer plate was created especially for 4 people.

We can't rate anything because we were forgotten as guests even though we were sitting in the middle of the restaurant. A mega zero number, never again. Staff overwhelmed.

I was a bit disappointed with the tasteless Margherita pizza. Maybe a quattro formaggi would be a great alternative. Unfortunately this is missing from the map. But otherwise we would be very satisfied. Definitely coming back.

Wir haben eine gemischte Vorspeise bestellt. Es kamen die Pizzen, sie wurden direkt wieder mitgenommen dann kam die Vorspeise. Anschließend bekamen wir die aufgewärmten Pizzen ohne weiteren Kommentar. Es war unmöglich, die Pizza war kalt und schmeckte nicht, wie erwartet in diesem guten Lokal. Wir waren sehr enttäuscht und bekamen Ganz herzlich nach unserer Beschwerde einen Limon Cello angeboten oder ein Dessert. Das war sehr lieb aber das es in diesem Lokal möglich ist eine aufgewärmte Pizza zu bekommen. War sehr enttäuschend.
