Incredibly mediocre food served by a staff that more or less couldn't care less about the guests and has no shame in showing it. The kitchen staff seems to be equally unmotivated. Upon entering, you're barked at, told which table to sit at, and after obeying dutifully, you're punished for a quarter of an hour of sheer disregard, which can be interpreted either as deliberate or laziness. The potato and arugula salad advertised on the menu contained no trace of arugula, but was the most primitive potato salad, straight out of a bucket (see picture - the tiny bit of green there was parsley). The porcini mushroom pasta was lukewarm, with a skin-like film on the sauce. The side salad was obviously from the day before yesterday, already wilting and browning. Due to the airport's monopoly, it's apparently not necessary to care about the guests or the food. Wasted money. Any mention of dissatisfaction was met with "I just work here." Completely insane!

Great stop for food at airport. It is like a traditional German restaurant. However it has some veggie and vegan options which is great. Great weekly/monthly menu, do check that out. The service was quite good and much better than many other German restaurants. Also somehow the prices at the restaurant were quite decent. Like main dish vegetarian was 14-15 EUR and half a litre of beer for 3.7 EUR is good price. Especially when you consider it to be Munich and Airport. Great option in comparison to junk food like McDonald's or so.

Everything you need to wait for your flight before departing from Munich. There are many options, large indoor and outdoor space with many tables.

This is the only airport brewery in the world. That alone is worth it, and the price is reasonable.

Great spot for a hearty meal and a cold beer at Munich Airport! We had the grilled pork knuckle with potato dumplings and cabbage salad—shared the half portion, and it was more than enough for both of us. The food was delicious, and there’s a fantastic selection of beers to choose from. Perfect place to enjoy a taste of Bavaria before or after a flight!

There is delicious German pig's trotters and beer at the airport. The portions are large and suitable for dining with friends.

The Airbräu is a nice way to return home after a plane trip. The roast pork was always very good, but unfortunately I found the Schlutzkrapfen a bit bland, as I had never heard of it in this small format and with such a filling.

The pork shoulder roast (photo) does not look delicious only ... it is. The meat is lean and the crust is really crusty and delicious. Not forgetting the perfect sauce in sufficient quantity. The ice-cold Kumulus Weissbier goes super with it. That is what I call "finger-licking good". The price was fair and compared to Munich city inexpensive. The service is professional and very fast. The guesthouse has its special flair - a bit dusty behind the pipes and sometimes a sparrow flies buy looking beggingly. It still is a must for every traveler who wants to have tested Bavarian hospitality.

The oldest airport brewery in the world. The Bräustüberl has been around for less than 30 years and this title seems to have been easily won, but at least. In 1999, despite the looming dot-com bubble, the decision was made to open an original Bavarian inn at Franz Josef Strauss Airport. The namesake would have been proud and the establishment doesn't promise anything it can't keep. Not only home-brewed hop drinks are offered here, but also excellent home cooking from the surrounding areas. The furnishings also form a strong and homely contrast to the sterile and hectic airport made of glass and metal. A special highlight is the generously sized guest garden in the atrium of the Munich Airport Center. Because it is so grim here, more business travelers have missed their connecting flights than due to Lufthansa strikes. And the icing on the cake is that the prices are just as affordable as at the Chinese Tower, if not more affordable. Unlike the neighboring restaurants at Aeroporto, you don't have to blow up an ATM to get a cool blonde beer.

We visit the restaurant regularly. Most recently on March 1, 2025. The food was delicious, as usual. But we've had bad luck with the service before. This time, unfortunately, it was the same again. We encountered a waitress who wasn't particularly engaging and wasn't particularly friendly. I ordered a pork knuckle. I was served one that was really very small, however. Instead, the kitchen put a small slice of regular pork under the knuckle. It's fine for me, too. Nevertheless, a small reminder of the situation from the waitress wouldn't have been too much to ask. Eventually, it was time to pay. Our waitress wasn't available. Another one came. Since the waitress wasn't so friendly before, the tip was limited (I still believe that a waitress has to earn her tips and doesn't automatically receive them). The tip was somewhere around 7 percent. The male waitress who took our money then complained about the 7 percent and so on, saying he was doing the trip for free... I found that inappropriate at that point, since he didn't even know the history. I reported the matter to the info@ address twice and received no response. Therefore, I feel compelled to make it known now. As I said, the food is always good. But when it comes to service, it's a 50/50 chance... I hope we have better luck next time.

On the occasion of our 15th company anniversary, we celebrated together with our customers in the threshing floor of the Airbräu. The rooms and the ambience were perfect for us. We would especially like to thank the service team for their attention in hosting our guests. Actually a MUST at MUC Airport, whether for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Super child friendly. We found the prices for an airport to be ok. Food was excellent and the beer is also very good! Of course, the beer garden outside is great, as it is protected in all weathers thanks to the roof.

It is located after immigration at Munich Airport. The menu was all in German, but when I asked the staff, they kindly told me in English that this was the sausage and weizen. The taste of the sausage, pretzels, and weizen beer was so delicious that I will never forget it. Anyway, I recommend it!! ️

Beautiful oasis at Munich Airport with excellent draft beer and classic Bavarian dishes. Fair prices! Professional service. When the weather is nice, the large beer garden outside is tempting. We felt very comfortable.

The roast pork was very good. I hope the batches of beer currently being served were a snapshot. Weissbier too much diactyl. Light 'legger' tasted 'out of date'. Thanks for the return. As a flagship of the beer city of Munich right next to Weihenstephan with such a modern facility on site, more should be possible. Sorry for the criticism.

This is a restaurant that I always go to in advance to eat at Munich Airport before departure. Beer prices are incomparably cheaper and more delicious than in the city. It's delicious no matter what you order, so I highly recommend it. Beyond security screening (especially Terminal 1), there is not much to eat at higher prices than here. The terminal is also tight, so don't bother going in in advance and eat here.

Best place to eat in Münich airport! This time we decided to order from the daily menu. Good thing we ordered one to share instead of ordering two diff meals because the portion was huge and enough for both of us. I suggest you to do the same. Besides, they also make their own beer, which tastes very good 🍺 Edit: I tried Baverian Burger last time and didn’t find it as successful as other dishes I tried earlier. So, eat something else than burger 🍔😄

Ok place for a meal pre flight. Beer very good and ridiculously cheap. Food average but not sure you'd get any better elsewhere in an airport. Reasonable pricing - would likely go back.

Our visit to Airbräu was simply fantastic. Since we had a great reserved table in the heated beer garden, our stay in the fresh air at the end of October was absolutely comfortable. The indoor spaces are also very inviting. The staff is very nice and competent. We were served extremely friendly and quickly. We felt very comfortable throughout our stay and are already looking forward to our next visit, which will hopefully take place in December. The food was excellent. Delicious Bavarian cuisine, what more could you want. You should try the beer. Thumbs up, 5 stars 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 After the lockdown, carry on as before. All the best to the whole team for the next few weeks. Stay healthy. We look forward to our next visit. Addition a few years later - December 2024!!! Our enthusiasm for the Airbräu continues. First of all, nice atmosphere, decor and atmosphere. Interesting menu and tasty food. First class beer. Nice service. The restaurant is popular, every time we come here the tables are occupied. Fortunately, after a short wait, there is always a table for two people. The location was perfect. If you are at the airport or the surrounding area in Munich, be sure to visit here for a little something.

Scammed us with a tip. What the. These people will force you to tip to just scam you for extra money. Do not go here. Food good. But will demand tip, even when you aren't forced to. It's crazy.

The reception always seems a bit hectic, but the service staff are always friendly and attentive. The Airbräu has a welcoming atmosphere, but unfortunately it is often very loud and if you come in a smaller group and you are unlucky, you will end up sitting at the table with strangers because some of them are intended for 8 people and then, understandably, if there are none larger groups come can also be occupied. However, I always find it very annoying when this happens because I just don't like sitting with strangers while eating. The food is good, traditional Bavarian and very tasty. The serving is also rather rustic and the portions are large. If you don't value frills and just want to eat well, this is the place for you. There are always plenty of parking spaces in the P20 and when you pay you get a credit for a certain number of hours.

Very disappointing – No solution for a simple reservation We wanted to hold our regulars' table with 12 people in this restaurant on January 2nd, 2025 and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. Despite making a reservation 3.5 weeks in advance for a table for 12, when we arrived we were seated at two separate tables in the “Old Kitchen”. Apparently a table for 12 people was not available, which significantly disrupted our celebration. What was even more frustrating was how our complaint was handled by the restaurant manager. When we asked for a solution, we were simply told that we should indicate when making the reservation that we wanted to sit at a table - which was obvious to us, especially with such a large group. However, this request for a shared table was completely ignored. Even worse was the reaction of the second restaurant manager, who rudely told us that there was no table for 12 people and that "pushing them together" wasn't possible either. This rude and unhelpful attitude is unacceptable, especially in a restaurant that focuses on good service. Additionally, it is confusing that the website allows online reservations for groups of up to 14 people, which contradicts what the restaurant managers said. Unfortunately, I have also seen similar complaints made in other Google reviews. This negative experience and the unprofessional treatment of us as guests ruined the entire experience. I expect an apology and an explanation as to why this situation was handled so poorly. Hopefully this feedback will be used to improve the service in the future.

Very, very crowded ! You have to stay at the table with strangers, because the tables are huge, for 8-10 persons. The food was average, pork knuckle with the worst polenta I ever eat. No mashed potatoes or cabbage at the side, how it is usually served in Germany. The waiter was very busy and almost rude.

Went to Airbräu on Christmas Eve (lunch) with a reservation and it worked well. But unfortunately there was only a reduced Christmas menu, which unfortunately wasn't noted on the website🤔 We were looking forward to pork knuckle and onion roast. The male waitress was attentive and quick. The salad bowl with chicken strips was worth its price. 👍French fries weren't such a hit, lukewarm with fat, left for longer 😞

Very positive experience, I came with friends from Munich and I must say that I ate very well and spent less than average. The shank with sauerkraut is excellent, not to mention the excellent Christmas beer.

First-class beer, I like the Fliegerquell (Helles) best. A highlight was the chestnut soup! I've been going there again and again since 1999, the most rustic and Bavarian location at the airport. Beer prices are still very fair, less than 4 euros. Food is quite expensive, but at least homemade sauces. Airbräu is great 👍🏻!

Table reserved for 12 people and were divided into 2 tables, after we complained about it we were given 2 tables put together. The food was only lukewarm and the beer was already completely without foam. The portions are clear and the quality can be improved. The potatoes in the onion roast were just barely done. Unfortunately, the service was also very bad, the waiting times were long and the tone was unfriendly. It used to be much better, but has diminished significantly and is now the only way to get full at the airport, there is no longer any trace of enjoyment (apart from the beer). In addition, it is not possible for the reservation signs to contain first and last names; a little more data protection would be appropriate.

Advent brunch is highly recommended - leaves nothing to be desired! All dishes were very good without exception! Great service and a lovely Christmas mood and atmosphere! The three musicians also did a great job and created a good atmosphere!

The service was an absolute disappointment! The male waiter in particular (around his late 30s, dark-haired) was extremely rude and seemed annoyed by our visit. The food was ok, but the bad atmosphere caused by the unfriendly service ruined the entire visit.

Good day, we arrived at the airport on time (approx. 3 hours before boarding). After we dropped off our luggage early, we wanted to fortify ourselves before the flight with a delicious meal and a cool cold drink. Unfortunately we were very disappointed, the service was very unfriendly and unprofessional. We didn't feel comfortable in this atmosphere. We waited an hour for two portions of fries and sausage salad. When we asked if we could pay directly, we were rudely rejected because we were supposed to pay everything together. The cappuccino was forgotten and only brought to us after we asked the waiter several times. I cannot recommend this establishment. Kind regards and have a nice holiday everyone. John

Very very bad service! 0 stars would be appropriate. The condition, in my opinion, chose the wrong profession.

Stopped by here while passing through and was really pleasantly surprised. As soon as you walk through the door, the airport stays behind you and the brewery atmosphere (admittedly a bit loud but authentic) has you covered. I had the pork knuckle, which came after only a 10-minute wait despite a full house. Crispy on the outside, soft and aromatic meat on the inside. Home-brewed light and unfiltered lager also gets full points and at a more than fair price (currently €3.70 for half a liter).

Had pre-ordered “Duck to go” for Christmas. The best decision for Christmas Eve! Everything was perfect, the duck was super tender, crispy and rich, the dumplings and red cabbage were a dream. Thanks to a simple description, it was easy for amateurs like us to conjure up a dream meal on the table with hardly any effort. The "Duck to go" made a wonderful Christmas evening even more beautiful. Thank you!

The waitress was very rude, bordering on unfriendly. She took a long time to serve us and then was in a hurry to get us out because the table they assigned us had a reservation. The same waitress' treatment of other customers was not the same. I don't know if it's because we are tourists.

A nice German restaurant, but the food is like a buffet at the station. A steak for €30 full of oil and really bad. Girlfriend had the pork roast and it was said to be pretty good to be fair. Anyway, I think you can eat better in the area for the same money.

Food and drink very tasty and also affordable for the airport.

We always like to come regularly, so far everything has been great, we were there as guests on December 24th, 2024, took advantage of the Christmas card, both meals were totally over salted, maybe everyone needed to relax 😉

Burger was from good meat but was overcooked - meat was cracking as I chewed it - 1 stars. My wife thought the schnitzel was 3.5 stars. My son refused to eat the Bavarian sausage salad. He said 1 star. Soup was 4 stars. The salad that comes with the schnitzel 10 stars. Vanilla ice cream is 4 stars. They brought the kids their ice cream before they served anything else...

The man who worked at reception this evening at 7:25 p.m. should urgently be replaced! Unfriendly, unaccommodating, incompetent... We didn't have a reservation and I asked several times if he had a chair or somewhere to sit for my 84 year old mother because we had to wait. He explained to me very unfriendly that we have to wait and stand behind the sign "they are being seated". I think such a person should be able to assess the situations better. Completely out of place, I recommend washing dishes!

Picking up party kegs we ordered for a friend went wrong again

Here I am only evaluating the offer to fill beer into party kegs. We ordered several 5 liter beer kegs four times and Airbräu NEVER managed to process the orders correctly!! Either there is no beer (like now) or the wrong beer, wrong size, etc. Unfortunately, I can neither advise nor recommend relying on Airbräu when buying beer kegs to give as gifts. You're just left out in the rain and no one cares! The beer itself is very good!

A bit of a mixed bag. The food was amazing. The host / reception was quite rude and abrasive. I was asked if I had a reservation at an airport restaurant. Really? Included is a photo of the menu. Checkout the “last meal” entree.

I was there with two friends this afternoon after visiting the Christmas market. It wasn't busy, so we were able to choose a table for 6. We each ordered cheese spaetzle with a side salad and 1 drink. Our waiter was extremely "motivated", it took a while for him to come to the table and take the order, and we mean something different by friendliness. The drinks came quickly and he left the food at the front of the table instead of handing it to the guests, as is normal. We've never experienced anything like this before. The spaetzle was just lukewarm, so we sent it back. The new ones were warmer but not as hot as they should be and the taste was pretty bland. They weren't worth the price. In any case, we were very disappointed and won't be coming back anytime soon. A friendly waiter came to pay, the other one probably had a shift change.

It's a shame - otherwise we'd love to come Today, however, roast pork with bread dumplings is not the same as we are used to from Airbräu. Meat dry, stale, sauce has a burnt taste, unfortunately just not Airbräulike. Veal schnitzel just as dry. Hopefully better next time. Price performance ratio not so ideal. After a very long French flight, I just wanted a nice cold German beer and some fries. What I got was far more. The atmosphere was wonderfully friendly, welcoming, and filled with good cheer. Even their customers were really nice. I was traveling all alone. I was tired, and I needed somewhere to wait a while for my ride. Airbräu was highly recommended by the airport staff. So much so that they wheeled me all the way from baggage claim in terminal 1E to my table. The moment I got there, I was made comfortable. The service was excellent, although I only ordered a white beer and some fries. My ride arrived faster than expected. No worries!!! They had me all set to go very quickly.

Before visiting the Christmas market we had dinner at Airbräu, everything was great!! The service was great, we all got our food at the same time even though the restaurant was full 👍👍👍. Particularly noteworthy are the onion roast and the Wiener Schnitzel, especially the potato and cucumber salad, sauguad!! We'll be back soon!

We booked in advance per Email a table 15 Persons, and when we got there they said they had no table for us, so they gave us two tables and we had to sit separately from each other. Waitress was very rude when we asked to put the two tables together and he didn't agree with it. I went there often but this was the last time!

Once and never again!!! We had reserved the "old kitchen" in writing for our Christmas party, when we got there the very unfriendly bouncer said that it was just a request and not a reservation and that we were sitting somewhere else. At our request to reduce the number of people, we were told that this was ours Reservation would be binding. Liabilities here only apply in one direction. The starter was good, unfortunately we only had table water to drink because the waiter, although nice, rarely showed up. The main course was okay. Unfortunately the Kaiserschmarrn dessert was cold. Conclusion: In the future I will read the reviews again before I make a reservation; apparently this sort of thing happens often at Airbräu

The best German food and service I have ever experienced!

Too bad. It wasn't a big deal this time. Table wobbles, even placed under it. The waiter spills a drink, but there isn't even an apology. The crisp duck was not crisp at all. Red cabbage just 1 tablespoon. At least there were 2 good dumplings. The breading was also on the schnitzel, the top one was just slick and the bottom one was just greasy. You were better at it...

This has become a tradition before or after every flight. Weisswurst breakfast or roast in the evening. Plus a delicious light or wheat beer. Always happy and at acceptable prices for Munich!

First of all, the service at Airbräu is super friendly and attentive, the atmosphere is very cozy. But the food left more than to be desired. The landlady's favorite schnitzel was dry and tough, the breading was solid and almost sad, the "cream sauce" served was indefinable and the "cheese spaetzle" was also very dry and no trace of cheese, just soggy. ...very, very unfortunate...the potato soup was also tasteless...hope that was an exception

I was at the Airbräu's Tenne with my family for Sunday brunch and was a bit disappointed. No comparison to the brunch I knew from years before Corona. The quality of the food was high, the service was very friendly, and even though drinks were included, the offer did not justify the price of 57 euros per person. For example, cheese was completely missing from the buffet, there were few side dishes for the main courses, and the dessert selection was also manageable. Very little choice for vegetarians let alone vegans. It also had something of a canteen atmosphere (beer you can tap yourself, coffee from a pump pot), even if it was Bavarian. Live music played quickly. Maybe that's why there were fewer people there, it used to be fully booked weeks in advance. Conclusion: Poor price-performance ratio
