Family friendly and dog friendly. The children are really entertained there. There are many offers. For us the pool is the highlight. But you shouldn't expect any special features in the room or in the restaurant. Compared to other hotels, I also find the parking fees and sauna surcharge to be cheeky. The panoramic restaurant was also disappointing. The dining room was very cool. When we ordered a second menu for our son, after more than 30 minutes we told the young waiter that we now wanted the bill. The waiter tried very hard, but he alone can't save the restaurant if the kitchen and the other 2 waitresses are asleep. There were only 6 tables occupied... Sauna, we really had doubts about that. A total of 30 lockers and only ten loungers. There is no control over who is a paying guest. So we found out that a hotel guest was paying and bringing his extended family with him. In addition, the room layout is completely wrong. There is no peace in the passageways. Waterfall showers too loud. No scales and in general I expected more for a financial premium. The entire area is a joke

You can do a lot with the kids, whether the weather is good or bad - from mini golf to cinema and indoor pool, just great... The hotel staff are very nice and super friendly in every situation (even despite enormous stress)... The massage in the hotel was unique. I would like to thank you again for how well the masseur responded to my kids and picked us up from everyday life 😇 I was very at peace... The hotel is a matter of taste. It wasn't my taste. The location is very far from the beaten track. Pure nature and nothing else.

So service is really top. 1 with an asterisk 😊 BUT the food is not good at all. We have already been to a few Ahorn Hotels and unfortunately this hotel is the worst of the whole Ahorn chain. We were very disappointed and on the last day there was no fresh sausage (not possible) and I still have so little choice, especially at the evening buffet never experienced anywhere. For a lot of money and vegetarian dishes there were e.g. neither, except salad and cheese with bread. Very sad. And then the shower. Totally dirty, rusty and everything is falling off (rubber lip on the door), unfortunately I'm very disappointed with this hotel. The only positive thing is that everyone is very friendly and accommodating and tries to help. So service is super top. The rest is a flop.

Always nice and great service. However, there should be no activities outside of the holidays that require the kids to be able to read and write; the probability is very low that a child will be able to do this. Other stools would be better in the toilet opposite the cinema, as the smaller kids have a hard time getting to the water and if the DJ plays more variety than just hits, the world is perfect :-)

The visit to this Ahorn Hotel was very nice and relaxing! There are almost unlimited options for children inside and outside! Parents can also take a little time out in the sauna area or while swimming! The rooms are very clean and tidy. The bathroom is a bit narrow, but there is still enough space for everything! The breakfast is good, but there could be some variety, we were there for 5 days and it was the same offer almost every day! But the quality is very good! The children's corner with the food is nice! The buffet dinner was definitely very appealing and delicious! The staff is always friendly and attentive and also patient! Because it can get a bit louder in the restaurant due to the many children! Overall, the price/performance ratio is right here. We'll be back in the summer to be able to enjoy the outdoor area including the lake even more! 8€ parking fee for the car per day is acceptable, but up to 20€ is sometimes charged elsewhere!

Rooms are spacious and well furnished. The bathroom/shower is well equipped but a bit too small. The staff is very friendly and attentive (they even remembered my birthday)

A good thermal bath in the immediate vicinity. The infusions in the sauna were excellent. The old town of Templin is worth seeing. Particularly worth mentioning is the well-preserved city wall. The hotel is particularly child-friendly. Nevertheless, there are sufficient areas of calm. The range of cocktails is remarkable.

We booked a weekend online for 11 adults and 3 children to celebrate our golden wedding anniversary. When questions arose in this regard, we received very friendly and comprehensive answers on the phone. Check-in was also quick and friendly. To our surprise, our table was festively decorated, there were even two bottles of champagne in a cooler on the table. Without request from us. We were told that this was a special service for special occasions. We were all amazed. It got even better: every morning the table was newly set, with white tablecloths and beautifully folded cloth napkins. That was awesome. This is really effective advertising. We were totally thrilled. The service staff is friendly, competent and fast. The leisure activities on offer are very diverse. There really is something for everyone. Simply brilliant. We had a really nice weekend. Thank you.

We had booked a weekend for 13 people for our golden wedding anniversary. That was one of our best decisions. The house offers an absolute all-round service for families, both the very old and the very young. In our case, special measures were taken in terms of service for the special occasion. Just like that, without any request from us. We were all very satisfied and very impressed by the courteous and super-friendly staff. The 5 rooms booked were also great. Thank you for the very nice weekend and we will be back.

Although it is a very large hotel and you can still clearly see the GDR past, the service is excellent and there is nothing to complain about. The leisure and entertainment options are extensive. The large swimming pool is very nice. Some rooms are said to be very small. But we had a nice, large and well-equipped room with a lake view.

Not recommended over the holidays! We stayed at the Ahorn Hotel for 4 nights over New Year's Eve 24/25. Unfortunately, it resembled a meeting of pensioners who had taken their coffee trip to a children's hotel. There were 40 children and almost €2000 adults or pensioners. Unfortunately, not all pensioners were child-friendly either. At the buffet it was a real fight and the little ones were somewhere in between. Due to the high number of adults, there were bingo evenings and pop parties. The New Year's Eve buffet didn't open until 7:20 p.m. which is not child-friendly. The shower cubicle is very small, but the rooms are clean so far. But the kids had fun so far. Maybe it would be easy to visit at a different time of year, but we would have preferred to save the money!

Price/performance is good here, you just can't overestimate a cobweb here and there. We felt comfortable

There were three of us there as a family and we were expecting mostly families, but at times we felt like we were at a bingo evening in a retirement home (the bingo evening actually existed). I have nothing against pensioners or prefabricated buildings. Ultimately, we obviously had completely wrong expectations. Due to the good reviews and the price level (500 euros per night on average for 3 people including New Year's Eve package), you could definitely expect "something". From the outside, the prefabricated building is a real work of art, no question about it. The design of the interior areas leaves a lot of room for improvement. In many places it looks like a West German conference hotel from the 90s: functional, careless, worn out. The many leisure options such as cinema, table tennis, table football and indoor playgrounds are positive. However, there is no real children's club with supervision, for example to give parents an hour of "leisure time". But the biggest disaster is the food (quality and selection). Unfortunately the quality of the food is below canteen level. Maybe the processes are efficient and optimized, but it just doesn't taste good!!! And that definitely has to do with sauce powder and pre-made products, which are mainly processed here. Even with a large number of guests, it is still possible to cook tastefully. But that would probably require a paradigm shift in kitchen operations. Of course people will disagree with my answer, but we have really seen a lot. For example, there are 5 types of cheese - you see them every morning and every evening, there are zero variations. A pressed meat mass is made into “fire skewers” ​​on the first evening and then into “Königsberger Klopsen” on the second evening. If quality and taste aren't that important when it comes to food, you'll definitely find something to suit you. When an older gentleman got an ice cream from the ice chest at the buffet, he was told by the staff that the ice cream was only for the children. This was also unfortunate in that the hotel was filled with approximately 80% pensioners during the 5 days we were there. Even on New Year's Eve, the buffet, which was highly praised by the director in advance, was average at best. The swimming pool has a large pool, functional, but the design (tiles, seating and loungers, walls, etc.) is neither beautiful nor of high quality. Overall, the facility appears to be very worn out. Why there are only 5 loungers in over 400 rooms remains a mystery. Well, it's a swimming pool, not a sunbathing pool. :-). I can imagine that in summer with the beach and water you can overlook a lot of things. But the buffet remains the absolute weak point. Unfortunately, you can't go to the panoramic restaurant for dinner for a fee - after 6 p.m. there was no hot food there. The staff is definitely very friendly and always tries hard. Overall it didn't work out for us, but with 190,000 guests in 2024, many were certainly satisfied.

It's very nice here, there are lots of opportunities to do something for both children and adults. The food is varied and tasty. The only thing that wasn't good was that the employees were biased during the children's activities and didn't treat everyone equally. Still worth a holiday, recommended.

The hotel is very old, in the winter months the hotel is more like a hostel for seniors, it is far from a family-friendly hotel, there is a “wii lounge” but not a “wii” but a switch and even that the controllers are defective and gaming equipment cannot be borrowed. Furthermore, there is something broken in every corner, from the loose wallpaper to the plaster that is crumbling everywhere to the many broken lamps in the dining rooms. The play equipment (air hockey) works sporadically and the pucks don't fit either. Contrary to my impression, I am very disappointed with the summer and will refrain from further visits.

Holiday hotel with good facilities and dedicated staff.

**** (4 stars) November 2024 Getting in the mood for Advent The arrangement making was really good. The older lady from the ActivTeam was very helpful and creative, she even cut up the room decorations so that there was still enough craft decorations. Singing Christmas carols with the choir was atmospheric. What was disrespectful, however, was that it took so long to serve out the drinks and curds, so the choir had to start even though the guests were still queuing. Why not put the coffee pots and cups on the tables? The film Polar Express on Friday in the Schorfheide restaurant was very uncomfortable and a bit inappropriate. Another program point (as a suggestion) would be better: e.g. Drink mulled wine with a Christmas quiz or make Christmas cards. The Advent buffet on Saturday evening was delicious. At the Friday buffet there was very tasty smoked fish. The Christmas decorations in the hotel were also very attractive, especially the climbing Santa Claus at the reception. The 2 little stands on the terrace were also pretty, but unfortunately very hidden. At check-in we could have been informed about this special dining facility. We noticed in many places that it was the first event of this kind and that there were some things that could still be improved, but overall we had a nice and recommendable introduction to the Advent season. A visit to the Naturtherme on Sunday after checkout rounds everything off.😁👍 **** (4 stars) July 2024 Short vacation for swimming. Because the weather forecast was good, we stayed at the hotel for 2 nights to swim. We had a studio with a lake view (forest view was already taken.) With an extra bed, cot and stroller, it was tight for us 2 adults, child and baby. Carpet stained and curtains didn't close completely. Our 6 year old was awake at 6 a.m. I would have had to pay €400 per night with HB and additional costs (parking, drinks, tourist tax, etc.)! I redeemed a bonus night so that I paid a total of €400 for the two nights and not €800. Otherwise I would never have booked it. Basically a nice 3 star hotel with friendly staff, good food and lots of leisure activities, but unfortunately with 4 star hotel prices. Without a bonus night I wouldn't come here again. Unfortunately unreasonably expensive for a family with 2 children. PS: the children's disco was very well done. The surroundings of the hotel and the outdoor area are very inviting. Certainly really great in warm months, but there was also a lot to use in autumn and it was nice for the children. The hotel itself has an extremely loud atmosphere that is not necessarily relaxing. The buffet was okay, but there was no information for allergy sufferers and in my opinion the selection was not necessarily “child-friendly”.

The Ahorn Hotel is a very family hotel. The WBS70-style rooms are sufficiently large and normally equipped. The breakfast and evening buffets are attractively prepared, clear and varied. Entertainment during the day and evening is provided. Pleasantly structured, you can quickly find your way around here. Whether it's the indoor pool, bowling alley, indoor arcade or bar/restaurant - everything is well maintained and clean.

A beautiful friendly hotel with lots of activities. When the weather is nice you can do a lot outside and when the weather is bad there is plenty to explore inside (cinema, indoor swimming pool or game room). You'll never get bored. Beautiful location by the lake, great environment for hikers, runners and cyclists. The house offers everyone the opportunity to make the most of their free time and there is a lot on offer for families with children and you get the impression that it is a children's hotel. Almost everything is available to rent (at moderate prices). The indoor pool with children's pool invites you to swim and the panoramic restaurant offers moderately priced coffee and cake, as well as warm dishes and all kinds of drinks, as well as cocktails. The buffets for breakfast and half board are varied, lavish and, above all, tasty. A cinema shows films around the clock for audiences of all ages and leisure programs are offered. There is criticism of the very small and very uncomfortable bathrooms, the step on the door (high risk of tripping) and the fact that many things are already visibly old!

We stayed in the hotel for 3 nights in the classic room and were completely satisfied. The employees were always friendly and always tried to fulfill all requests as quickly as possible. Since it was very busy, it didn't go smoothly, but you never felt rushed. The food was very balanced, something for everyone. Whether it was dinner or breakfast, it was simply delicious. The entire complex was very well maintained and scored with a large selection of leisure activities. I've been to 3 different Ahornhotels so far, always around the time of my birthday 🎂 but here I was surprised first. The Seehotel Ahorn Templin impresses with many positive aspects. The rooms and bathroom are rather small, but clean and well maintained. Particularly noteworthy is the magnificent breakfast buffet, which really leaves nothing to be desired. The hotel is huge, so you can move around a lot, which is ideal for active vacationers. We had a wonderful time at the Ahornhotel Templin. The rooms are small, that's true, but our rooms were very clean and we felt very comfortable. Our children had incredible fun in the Tobeparadies and in the swimming pool. The food far exceeded our expectations. It was incredibly tasty and the selection was very large. The surroundings, the lake, forest, garden, simply fantastic. We spoke to employees who were very happy to work there and who were extremely complimentary of their boss. This is noticeable throughout the entire hotel; there is a very pleasant atmosphere. We would love to come back.

Unfortunately disappointing and not worth the price We recently stayed at the Ahornhotel Templin and unfortunately we hoped for much more. The general condition of the hotel does not correspond to the prices quoted here. The building and the furnishings are very outdated, which is particularly noticeable in the rooms and the sanitary facilities. The smell of the toilets in the public area is more reminiscent of a motorway service station, and the carpeting throughout the hotel is not only unsightly, but simply unhygienic. The games room is a nice idea, but unfortunately in very poor condition. Many toys are damaged or have clearly not been cleaned for a long time. It would be desirable if the toys were disinfected regularly - perhaps every two days. Things weren't much better in the creative room either: the pencils are mostly worn or broken, and the sharpener doesn't work. While there is a space for creative play, the selection of coloring pages was disappointing. The buffet was one of the biggest criticisms: €28 per person, even for ages 6 and up. No six-year-old child eats in this price category, that's completely excessive. In addition, the children's buffet is high in sugar, and there were also deficiencies in the breakfast. For example, the toaster was only switched on when asked and there was no information about allergens - a big problem for people with intolerances. The rooms themselves are tiny and can only be used comfortably by very slim people. The bathroom is so narrow and low that it is uncomfortable. In addition, the mold in the bathroom appears to have simply been painted over several times. The carpet in the room – absolutely unhygienic and a real gathering place for bacteria and germs. The outdoor area for children is successful and fun, but we missed stations with drinking water or small snacks for the children. There was no way to get free water until 3:30 p.m. The beer garden has a pleasant atmosphere, but the food was overpriced for the small portions and tasted old. A full portion of Viennese sausage was served on a plate of potato soup, and a piece of cake costs a whopping €3.10. The swimming pool also left a lot to be desired. There are hardly any elements that make the room really exciting for children. Overall we were disappointed. The hotel has potential, but lacks maintenance, modernization and reasonable prices for what it offers. Overpriced parking fees of €10.00 a night are absolutely not possible. Hidden prices.

We have been guests very often. This stay still managed to top it again. The entire staff is simply outstanding. The reception implemented all our wishes, the Active Team processed all inquiries and helped us, and the swimming pool staff gave us a warm welcome as always. The cleaning staff was very attentive and asked about requests every day, despite the sign on the door. This time the food far exceeded our expectations. The kitchen left no wish unfulfilled. I also think it's great that the boss and his deputy look after the guests every evening. Our evenings at the bar were wonderful, the staff were very attentive and left nothing to be desired. We left early and will not be returning. I've already stayed in a few family hotels and since I didn't want to travel too far for a few days, I drove here with my daughter. Unfortunately it was disappointing and I have never felt so uncomfortable in a hotel. The rooms are small (although that didn't bother me so much), but the bathroom was so tiny that you could only turn on your own axis. There were no shelves where you could hang your towels within easy reach. When I washed at the sink, I bumped into the shower, etc. I honestly don't know how families with small children are supposed to organize themselves. In addition, the bathroom was simply dingy as it was getting old. The heating was rusty, there were deposits and limescale everywhere… The room was also very old-fashioned and renovation and modernization should be considered. In general, I found the hotel to have a musty smell and everything was less inviting. The dining room is huge and there are crowds of people eating there at the same time. Unfortunately, we didn't really like the food (half board). Only the gentleman at breakfast who made fresh fried eggs made me happy. At dinner you stand in a row at the buffet and move forward step by step... we skipped dinner on the second evening and ordered burgers from a good restaurant in Templin. The hotel itself is designed for families and there are enough options for children. Unfortunately not for teens. + we thought the cinema was great + We also thought the bowling alley (€19.00 / hour) was great + the surroundings are really beautiful, even with Lake Lübbesee on the doorstep. However, I think there will be a fight for the loungers in the summer. We also booked massages. The gentleman was very nice and did his job well. However, the wellness area also needed to be refreshed; real relaxation could not be achieved in the atmosphere. I also think the parking fees of €10 per day are a bit excessive. We skipped one night and left the afternoon before. I just couldn't relax there and we wanted to eat dinner at home.

The hiking trails surrounding the hotel are also a plus, and the tourist tax conveniently includes bus tickets for exploring the area. However, the expectations of a children's hotel were not met. Although there are many activities for children, the audience seemed to consist largely of pensioners. The hotel itself is old, and although the facade has been updated, the rooms are showing their age. They are small, noisy and reminiscent of cabins on a ferry. The comfort suffers as a result, and the carpets and fabrics make the hotel not really allergy-friendly. Check-in was only partially online. On site we discovered that only one of the two rooms had been checked in, which made a trip to reception unavoidable. However, the service there was friendly and solution-oriented. Later there were problems with the connecting door between the rooms, which was still locked, but that was also quickly resolved. Another point was the overcrowded indoor pool, which we therefore avoided. Instead, we used the indoor romping paradise, where the children at least had fun. The bowling alley was a highlight - two modern lanes in a separate room, highly recommended. However, the service in the panoramic restaurant was overwhelmed. The children ordered from the children's menu, but the waitress couldn't understand the terms. Appetizers came before drinks, and bread, which should have been served at the beginning, came later. The food was OK, but too expensive for the quality offered. We were particularly disappointed with the children's portions - the schnitzel was perhaps 5 cm in diameter, and our son was visibly disappointed. The evening ended in the bar with a DJ, where we would have liked to stay longer, but the service was difficult to find, so after one drink we decided to leave. Breakfast the next morning had a lot of choice but was in a huge room with tables packed tightly together. Even though the buffet was rich, we didn't really feel comfortable due to the atmosphere. The children's buffet was also poorly organized - parents still grabbed it even though it was cordoned off, which completely defeated the purpose of this regulation. In summary: the children had fun, but everything else came at an additional cost. For us, the price-performance ratio was not convincing, and the suggested quality of the homepage does not reflect reality. For 284 euros per night including breakfast and another 164 euros for dinner, drinks and extras, we expect more. It was an okay stay, but we won't be returning.

A great children's hotel. My daughter loves the colorful hotel. Many offers for children. The only criticism is the one-sided food. Nowadays, not only pork but also poultry should be offered. Whether it's early in the morning with the sausage or in the evening at the buffet. One day there was beef for dinner and the other days there was only pork and no vegetarian alternatives as a warm meal. Maybe the Asian employees who work in service should put their cooking skills to the test. The Indian woman from the breakfast service works for 3 and is very hardworking more than the others, which also needs to be emphasized. Otherwise, as always, everything was ok.

We were here with our grandchildren for a short vacation, it was nice because there was enough to play, there was a cinema and plenty of other activities as well as the swimming pool, the water temperature was okay, the hotel is very child-friendly.

We were here many years ago and were very positively surprised by what was made of it. A dream for our child, lots of activities that she can experience here. The staff are very friendly and helpful, whether service staff, reception, cleaners and active team. The room is a reasonable size for two adults with a preschool child, and the walk-in closet is nice. Bathroom is sufficient with a bathtub and large mirror. The food is great, lots of choice, there is something for everyone. The buffet is always refilled very diligently and kept clean. Clearing the tables went very quickly. Very nice area with lots of activities. The exterior facade makes it special.

We stayed at the hotel with our 2 children for a few days. The first impression of a cohesive, lively GDR prefabricated building was quickly shattered. It's lively/lively inside because it's a family/children's hotel and it felt like it was fully booked. It quickly became apparent that an attempt had been made to let the GDR move out, but in some places it was not possible for structural reasons to do something that might appear to be in need of renovation. What really shocked us were the rooms, yes we had 2. We booked a family room. This is in 2 double rooms connected with an internal door. There are also 2 minimalist bathrooms, with everything a bathroom has. However, the shower was so narrow that as a 1.85m person with a body weight of 90kg you would hit the shower wall every time you turned, which meant that the bathroom would flood or you would have to adjust the faucet every time. We were very disappointed with the room and bathroom! Okay, what else is there to discover here? Yes, a lot, especially for children. Several playrooms, bathroom, an outdoor area for children (playgrounds, teepee tents, electric cars, jumping pillows, petting zoo, etc.), several restaurants, fitness room, indoor pool. Everything was extremely well maintained and run with a lot of love. Breakfast and dinner were an open buffet, which we found to be very varied and beautifully presented. The conditions were all super friendly and accommodating. Everyone had a smile on their face (cook, cellar, reception, tablet robot) and responded to the children and us. There is also a nice children's buffet where the children can get what they want themselves. Plus a play area in the restaurant, great. There was no table chaos with us - we had our table from the first to the last meal. Conclusion: Great hotel for families, restaurant and staff friendly and helpful, room and bathroom very, very small. Leisure activities with children are a dream.

We booked the Ahorn Templin with our 2 year old for a long weekend by chance and are absolutely thrilled. The team is super friendly, the facility is well maintained and the buffet is super organized and delicious. There are a total of 3 large playrooms, graded according to age - there is even a whole play hall for older children. Busy children make for relaxed parents. We all came back refreshed and are looking forward to our next stay at Ahorn Templin.

In need of renovation in many ways... Real chaos when fully occupied... Breakfast in peace... impossible... constantly changing places for breakfast... What struck me positively was the Panorama Restaurant with its staff and overview

The hotel has a clear Eastern character. But attempts were made to make the best of the building structure. Entertainment for young and old is well provided. We were there for a weekend by bike. It was important to us that there was a locked bike room and that we could clean the bikes. Supermarket and city center just a few minutes by bike. The “Spur der Steine” cycle path is a good tip! The rooms are ok, the bathroom was very small. But everything was ok and the beds were fine. It was noisy. Breakfast and dinner were good as a buffet! Overall, a great hotel for families and those on a medium budget!

We have just arrived back home and are reflecting on the events of the last 4 days. This is the third time we have been to the Ahornhotel with our two grandchildren and that speaks for itself. The children are so enthusiastic about the many imaginative offerings, the staff are friendly, loving and patient. This hotel offers everything, so the small rooms and the even more small bathroom don't weigh too much. You're only in your private area to sleep anyway. The buffet is incredibly rich and varied and the service staff is always friendly. A special thank you goes to Mr. Weinzimmer, who was extremely courteous, polite and hard-working and seems tailor-made for his professional work. The AHORN Seehotel in Templin is a great hotel with a beautiful view and an excellent environment for children. We had a very pleasant time here. Particularly noteworthy is the great swimming instructor Stefan, both for adults and children. Many guests, including myself, can benefit from his experience. I couldn't swim at the beginning of the stay, but thanks to the swimming instructor I learned and can now only recommend it. A big thank you for your effort :) Saja ☺️🙋🏻‍♀️

Very nice for a grandma/grandpa/grandchildren weekend or even longer. Lots of opportunities to play but also find peace. We liked it very much.

The DDR hotel has been modernized, but the facade is terribly painted. The rooms are beautiful, modern. Large rooms, lots of entertainment. For breakfast, there is a buffet, a large selection of dishes and drinks. The territory is large, leading to the lake. Playgrounds for children. The staff is friendly.

The rooms are simple, but OK for overnight stays. Quite noisy and unfortunately there were extremely loud students in the next room who were partying through the night, so you couldn't sleep peacefully. Le Otherwise, the great panoramic restaurant is not really usable because the kitchen was closed at 6 p.m. Otherwise the hotel offers many activities, such as a large swimming pool and its own cinema. Unfortunately, it is difficult to find a good restaurant open after 7 p.m. in the area.

The service was good. The staff very friendly. The room was very small. While we were eating, the children played up to my table. That was very disturbing. The parents didn't care.
