Fantastic restaurant in a typical old Black Forest house. Inside, nothing is missing from the nostalgic Black Forest style. The food is great, the portions are perfect if you are hungry.

Extremely delicious regional food, a very familiar atmosphere and very nice conversations with the owners (even though Germany ended up being eliminated from the European Championships 😉).

We were there for our grandson's baptism. Andrea and her team were great hosts and the food was incredibly delicious. Very fine soup, breaded schnitzel, fries, croquettes, spaetzle and fine vegetables, plus a delicious salad. It was really really really good. Absolute recommendation

We had dinner there with friends and sat outside. The location is very quiet and with an incredible view. We were served personally by the restaurant owner and she was extremely friendly and familiar to us. Before we ordered we received a small mozzarella salad on the house, which was not only a very nice gesture, but also tasted very good. The portions of the food were more than enough and of very high quality. Both the schnitzel and the steak were extremely tasty. Absolutely recommend going there and we will eat there again next time.

Quaint little restaurant with delicious food. The map is relatively small, but that wasn't a problem for us. The food was freshly prepared and the portions were generous. The waitresses are friendly and we were given a seat even without a reservation. A reservation is still recommended as most of the tables were reserved. The restaurant is in the basement of a farmhouse, I found it totally traditional...For our daughter there was a children's chair that was 80 years old but was prepared accordingly. She thought he was quite good. The conversations from the residents of the place who probably come regularly were strange, and these are also recommended ;-)

Ich kann bei diesem Restaurant nur Positives sagen. Bei meiner Urlaubsreise in Todtnau war ich 2 mal dort und das Essen war bei beiden Malen sehr gut. Der Wurstsalat mit Bratkartoffeln war geschmacklich top. Das Dressing des Wurstsalates war cremig und etwas ungewöhnlich für mich. Dennoch schmeckte es hervorragend. Ein anderes Mal hab ich hausgemachte Semmelknödel mit Pilzsoße gegessen und es war auch sehr gut. Zuvor hab ich Semmelknödel im Restaurant noch nie gegessen und ich war sehr überzeugt. Die Knödel sind eindeutig selbstgemacht. Das Personal ist zudem freundlich und sehr zügig beim servieren. Nach 15-20 Minuten kommt schon das Hauptgericht. Das Ambiente ist etwas urig eingerichtet und hat einen schönen Gesamteindruck. Ich würde einen Besuch zu diesem Restaurant absolut empfehlen und es gibt von mir völlig verdient 5 Sterne zu vergeben.

Essen zu 100% zu empfehlen. Alles wird frisch zubereitet. Kalte und frische Getränke. Und ein sehr freundlicher Service

Sehr leckere Gerichte, die Speisekarte ist nicht riesig aber für jeden was dabei. Wir hatten Käsespätzle mit Gerösteten Zwiebeln und Maultaschen mit Tomate und Frühlingszwiebeln. Dazu als Vorspeise Rinderkraftbrühe mit Flädlestreifen und einen Gruß aus der Küche, alles war absolut lecker und ausreichend. Vielleicht vorher reservieren. Die Inhaberin war Mega freundlich und hatte trotz der vielen Gäste immer noch die Zeit für ein freundliches Wort. Wir können es nur empfehlen dort einzukehren. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Wir haben spontan am Samstag des Pfingstwochenendes noch ein nettes Lokal gesucht und sind hier "gelandet" . Absolut empfehlenswert. Wir hatten nicht reserviert und uns wurde ein Tisch im Nebenraum angeboten mit toller Spielecke für Kinder !!! Das Essen kam flott und war sehr lecker. Wir haben direkt für Pfingstmontag reserviert, im Nebenraum! 😉 Kleine, aber feine Karte mit Tagesgerichten.

Urig-gemütliche Gaststube, in der man sich sofort willkommen fühlt. Wir haben die Herzlichkeit und das leckere gutbürgerliche Essen sehr genossen. Auch die Bierauswahl einer kleinen familiengeführten Brauerei aus dem Süden Deutschlands hat uns begeistert.

Wer hier dran vorbei fährt ohne etwas zu essen, wird es sein Leben lang bereuen! Super Leute und noch besseres Essen!

Really sweet traditional Schwarzwald restaurant. Friendly staff, nice atmosphere and excellent food. Huge portions. Great value for money. We'd definitely go back.

Schöne Schwarzwaldstube, sehr schön eingerichtet und der Inbegriff von Gemütlichkeit. Das Essen ist sehr sehr lecker und die Portionen üppig, hungrig geht hier keiner raus! Die Preise sind absolut in Ordnung und die Qualität ist perfekt. Die Wirtin hat einen sehr sympathischen und offenen Charakter. Ihre Art rundet das gemütliche Flair vollkommen ab und man fühlt dich als Gast geborgen. Würden wir nicht so weit weg wohnen würden wir öfter vorbei schauen. Die Aftersteger Mühle ist auf jeden Fall ein Ort an dem man einkehren, schlemmen und sich wohl fühlen kann! Gerne wieder!

Wir wurden sehr herzlich empfangen und hatten ganz ganz tolle Gespräche mit Inhaber und Chefin. Das Wirtshaus hat so einen tollen Charm das uns wirklich umgehauen hat. Das Essen war bombastisch lecker! Wir haben uns so mega wohl gefühlt! Leider waren die Tische an den darauffolgenden Tagen besetzt so das wir leider nicht mehr einkehren konnten. Wir kommen aber nächstes Jahr wieder und freuen uns schon jetzt wieder auf unseren Platz sitzen zu können und das Essen genießen 🫶🏻 Dann reservieren wir rechtzeitig 🫣 Liebe Grüße Daniela und André

Das Essen war einfach perfekt, hausgemachte Gerichte sind tatsächlich HAUSGEMACHT. Nette Bedienung auf jeden Fall ein Besuch wert, schade daß wir es erst am letzten Abend endekt haben...

This is a beautiful place, cozy, very clean, friendly owners, and excellent German-style food. There is even a stove and one table where you can sit next to it, feeling all the warmth. Very nice indeed.

What an amazing find for lunch on Sunday. The food was incredible and the owners are wonderfully kind. We had the cheese soup and the dumplings.

Wunderbarer Service und Essen. Als Gruß aus der Küche eine Erbsensuppe, die die Wartezeit verkürzen sollte. Kann man nur empfehlen. Dort zum Schluss noch Käse gekauft, könnte mich ärgern, da wir zu wenig mitgenommen haben, auch dieser mega 😋
