The Koobideh Kebab was a disaster; it didn't look or taste like Koobide. I ordered saffron rice with it, which was yellow but didn't smell or taste of saffron. Sorry, that was the first and last time I order food from here.

Great place, amazing food, lovely and friendly service. Family owned business, they are really nice and take their cuisine super serious it feels like home cooking warmth and super tasty. Would highly recommend a visit. There's at least 4 veganizable/vegetarian main courses, and fresh loose leaf black tea <3 Restaurant is also very cozy and chill, there's all sizes of tables you can even celebrate a birthday I think, which is sort of a plan for us at this point :)

Unfortunately the staff isn't that friendly either. My call was dropped in the middle of the conversation because the display didn't show a cell phone number. Mari is a great restaurant with authentic Afghan/Persian cuisine. So far everything has been so delicious, the owners are incredibly friendly and welcoming and you feel at home. The service is also super fast. Unfortunately very underrated, perhaps because of the location. But the store definitely deserves a lot more attention.

Ich habe zum ersten mal iranisch oder Afghanisch?! gegessen... An sich war ich zufrieden von dem Essen allerdings hat es schon lange gedauert bis das Essen kam. Die Portion war groß. Auch die iranische Fassbrause hat mir gefallen.

Meine Erfahrung im Restaurant Mari war äußerst enttäuschend und unangenehm. Als ich kürzlich eine Bestellung aufgeben wollte und angab, mit Karte zahlen zu wollen, erlebte ich einen äußerst unhöflichen Vorfall mit dem Restaurantinhaber. Er fragte mich herablassend, warum ich an diesem Tag kein Bargeld dabei hatte. Ich erklärte höflich, dass ich nur mit Karte zahlen konnte. Doch er fragte erneut, warum ich kein Bargeld hatte. Dieses Verhalten war nicht nur unhöflich, sondern auch äußerst unprofessionell. Es schien so, als ob der Inhaber es bevorzugte, dass Kunden in bar zahlten, um möglicherweise Einnahmen "inoffiziell" zu behalten. Bisher hatte ich nie eine offizielle Rechnung erhalten, wenn ich in diesem Restaurant gegessen hatte. Es schien, dass deutsche Kunden eine Rechnung erhielten, während afghanische oder iranische Kunden nur einen Zettel mit dem zu zahlenden Betrag bekamen. Diese Erfahrung hat mein Vertrauen in das Restaurant und seinen Geschäftsethik schwer erschüttert. Ich würde anderen Kunden empfehlen, sehr vorsichtig zu sein, wenn sie hier essen oder bestellen möchten. Ein respektvoller Umgang mit allen Kunden sollte oberste Priorität haben.

Ich war schon zweimal da. Das Essen war sehr lecker. Sehr sauber auch WC. Nur das Essen hat etwas länger gedauert und der Geschäftsführer könnte netter sein. Also war gut und die Preise sind auch nicht so teuer. Nur Mahiche war SCHLECHT. 😖 Aber trotzdem wieder dahin...aber kein Mahiche bestellen😉

Compared to the high ratings, our experience was a bit more modest. The service was good, and the choices were interesting and well explained, so everyone could find something suitable. the starters were all very good, well made, tasty and with good ingredients. The main courses, we had 3 different ones for 4 people, varied a lot. Some fresh grilled meat was good/ok (lack of special twist), some was soupy, and mine appeared heated while the taste was amazing.

Ich war heute in diesem Restaurant und kann nur sagen das das Essen sehr lecker war.Ich war schon in vielen Restaurants hier in Köln und kann sagen sowohl das Afganische und das Persische Essen ist einfach nur lecker gewesen. Das Resturant ist sehr empfehlenswert und die Preise sind nicht so überteuert.

Gestern Abend zwei traditionelle Afgh. Speisen (Khabuli/ Mantu) zum mitnehmen bestellt. Sehr köstliches Essen, Qualität der Speisen war sehr gut, Preis Leistung auch fair! Die Betreiber sehr gastfreundlich und nett. Ebenfalls das dazugehörige Lebensmittel Geschäft sehr zu empfehlen. Kommen gerne wieder.
