Despite the high quality of the food, the prices are very affordable, making it a great option to enjoy a Greek feast without spending too much. The service is warm and friendly, and the staff speaks German and English, making communication easier for all visitors. In addition, the restaurant is very well located and easy to reach by public transport. Bus 186 stops right on the corner, making travel even more convenient. Definitely a restaurant I would recommend without hesitation.

The restaurant looks very lovingly decorated and inviting. The staff was very nice and accommodating. The food was excellent and my son thought it was great that the chef brought the lamb shank to the table and prepared two tzatziki plates for us so quickly. We felt very comfortable and will definitely come back!!!

Our food, as always, tasty and good. Service friendly and quick. In the upper seating area, very narrow, therefore little privacy as it is loud. If this doesn't bother you, you can have an entertaining evening. Next time we'll try the lower restaurant area.

Absolutely nice service, I ordered a starter for one person, what can I say, it was really good and plentiful! Have Then I ordered lamb shank, which was really good, unfortunately my eyes were bigger than my stomach. But I really have to say, the food was great, the people were very nice and friendly, just a good evening. Definitely recommended.

Cannot believe I haven’t reviewed this restaurant yet. It has been our favorite Greek for years by now. Always very friendly and feels like home. Very very nice wine, cosy atmosphere and decorations with cats (very Greek-like!). Food is delicious and fresh. Portions are big. They decreased sizes recently, but it is actually a good thing, so that we finally able to finish our food and also kinda move after it. Will keep coming here regularly

Achilles’ Taverna is a wonderful place to enjoy Greek specialties. Particularly child-friendly and warm – my children felt comfortable there. I had the chicken and beans which was outstanding. The tzatziki was incredibly good and rounded off the taste perfectly. Overall, a great experience for the whole family and definitely worth a visit!

Very cozy. Very nice, funny waiter. It was our first time there but as we were leaving I met a friend at the door who has been a regular there for 30 years. That's great for the shop. I don't want to advertise too much here, otherwise it will be even more difficult to get a place.😄

Great staff - that's the most important impression of the evening. Rarely have I seen such great and cheerful employees in a restaurant. Plus very tasty food. There is even a larger vegetarian selection on the menu. We'll definitely be back! (But then in a T-shirt. With a sweater it gets very, very warm)

I was there for the first time 10 years ago, back then I still lived in Brandenburg. I now live in Berlin, but still further away. And even though I have a Greek restaurant nearby that, according to Google, is also good, I prefer to drive across the whole city to eat here. I gave the closer Greek a chance several times, but they weren't into it... I wish they would swap their location with Achilles Taverna. The portions are huge, absolutely delicious, the pre-lettuce alone on the plates is to die for. I've eaten in high-end restaurants, but nowhere can anyone come close to the friendliness and good service of Achilles and his employees. You are essentially standing on top of the Olympus of perfection. Everything is just right at this restaurant. Even the toilets are extremely well maintained and appear inviting. There is absolutely no drawback. If you want to have one of those evenings, with perfect food, both in quality and quantity, where you end up putting a group photo saying "It was lovely" in your WhatsApp status, look no further! Go to Achilles, thank me later 👌🏼 (I'll add photos on my next visit... I reviewed this restaurant years ago with another Google account, it was time to renew the review. very nice people, I had a vegetable plate and would have somehow wished for something more sophisticated than (at least quite crunchy) boiled vegetables, maybe I would have been convinced by frying them, or with cheese or -- so it was a bit boring

Is the best Greek restaurant in Berlin, the way they treat people its great, food portions are big and the quality of the food is excellent, I try to eat here at least once a month.

Since it opened 30 years ago, we have often visited this taverna and felt like we were on vacation in Greece. Always good quality and very nice staff. Keep it up!

Classic Greek, large portions, reasonable prices. You can also sit outside. The food is really unusually good, e.g. B. the rice with a very light cinnamon taste.

We had a family reunion of sorts here. We all love Greek food and we were celebrating a birthday. Our waiter was excellent. He was attentive without being overbearing. We had an excellent time and were there for several hours. Uzo shots were of course plenty. All 6 of us thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. If you haven’t been, you should go. If you have been, then go back. We know ow we will.

Very nice Greek restaurant. The waitress, who wasn't a "real Greek" by the way, was very nice, helpful and also funny and pleasant. Hats off. The food was also extremely good. In terms of price I think in a normal range. Only the ambience could be better. Outside there are only a few small tables right on the street and inside it is a bit dark and winding. But the service and food far outweigh that.

Attracted by the good reviews, we stopped by Achilles for the first time. We immediately liked the rustic ambience and the very friendly service 👍🏼. Unfortunately, my Krombacher 🍺 didn't seem really cold to me and had very little carbonation. We continued with a tzatziki with garlic that was barely palatable (for our taste). The salad for the main course was very fresh, but again there were no typical Greek spices. ....and my husband's stuffed minced steak was also quite "flaky". Not to just complain.... The souvlki were perfect 👌🏼. All in all, probably not a reason to come back very quickly.

I've been coming here again and again for years. Warm hospitality, changing dishes on the weekly menu. Of course, the prices had to be adjusted here too, but the price-performance ratio is definitely right.

Food rather below average. Gyros very dry, the starters overpriced. Basically everything was over salted. The prices do not correspond to the quality, even if you take VAT and inflation into account.

Always delicious and fresh on the table. We had such a big appetite and the conversation with the waiter was so warm that I forgot to take a few photos of our mixed platter and the delicious salad. Absolute recommendation. However, you should reserve a table in the evening as the shop is quite small.

I went there because I heard it was a good Greek restaurant with a nice atmosphere, and it was as delicious as I expected. Although the Gyros was a bit salty, it was still delicious! Above all, the employees were friendly and fun. Mix Platte is larger than expected and filling.

Extrem freundliches Personal. Die Einrichtung und Dekorationen sorgen für eine gute Atmosphäre. Das Essen ist sehr gut. Die Portionen für mich schon fast zu groß. ( keiner von uns hat es geschafft alles auf zu essen) Die Preise finde ich mehr als fair. Werde bei meinem nächsten Urlaub in Berlin gerne wieder hier essen gehen.

Also Ambiente fand ich ok. Aber es kommt ja auf das Essen und den Service an und den fand ich echt gut. Das Essen war sehr lecker, der Kellner witzig und leicht aufgedreht. Aber alles in allem gehe ich gern wieder hin. Preise waren voll in Ordnung.

Seit über 15 Jahren sind meine Familie und alle die mittlerweile dazu gehören immer wieder gerne Gast. Als Kind schon immer mit Freude hier gewesen und bis heute und hoffentlich noch viele Male stets zufrieden und satt aus der Taverna gekommen. Leckeres Essen, familiäre Atmosphäre und gute Stimmung. Nicht zu sehr auf die deutsche Vorstellung von griechischem Essen angepasst sondern eine tolle Auswahl, von gemischten Vorspeisen bis zu Platten zum Teilen ist alles dabei. Achilles‘ Taverna gehört mein Berliner Griechisch-Essengehen-Herz. Immer sehr lecker, nie etwas anderes erlebt in den ca. 33 Jahren, die ich immer wieder mal dort bin. Ein mit Herz geführter Familienbetrieb, wo man selbst in der Woche abends reservieren sollte.

War lange nicht hier, aber das Essen war spitzenmäßig wie immer!!!

Anchovis aus dem Glas auf Salat, statt frische Anchovis selbst eingelegt, Tsatsiki mit Quark statt Jogurt, zum Dessert Jogurt aus dem Becher mit Billighonig, auf der Karte Fischgerichte mit Remoulade gesehen - kurz gesagt, das Essen hat mich nicht überzeugt. Der Service war spitze: Sehr flinker und witziger Kellner, alles wurde - auch von anderen Kellnern und dem Chef persönlich - schnell serviert und das gesamte Personal war ausgesprochen freundlich. Das Ambiente: An einem Sonntag Abend sehr gut besuchtes Lokal, einfache, schöne Ausstattung und farbenfrohe Wände. Lockere Atmosphäre. Zum Wohlfühlen. Wäre perfekt für mich, wenn das Essen nur besser wäre. M. E. täte es auch eine kleinere Karte mit weniger, dafür aber frischeren und authentisch zubereiteten Speisen. Aber der Laden scheint ja auch so zu laufen. Alles in allem schade, wird wohl nicht mein Lieblingsgrieche in Berlin werden.

Klar, daß der Laden immer gut besucht ist und auch unter der Woche reserviert werden sollte: sehr gutes Essen, gepflegtes Pils und ein freundlicher Service.

Der Service war sehr gut, das Essen lecker und das Ambiente ist in zwei großen Räumen geteilt. Der Zugang ist barrierefrei.

Wir wohnen direkt gegenüber und es gibt immer einen Platz für uns. Das Essen ist unfassbar lecker, qualitativ und authentisch. Das Personal sehr familiär und freundlich :) Es ist nicht touristisch. Immer ein toller Abend, vorallem im Sommer, wenn der Garten geöffnet hat. Sehr zu empfehlen sind die Lammkottlets, Kotopoulo Achilles und die Grillplatten. Zu den meisten Gerichten gibt es einen kleinen Salat und Fladenbrot dazu.

Ich hab Wachtel bestellt, Das war sehr trocken weil es hat viel gebrannt und kein Geschmack. Der Nachtisch war sehr lecker.

From now on, this is one of my favorite restaurants in Berlin! Yesterday we were two people (I'm sorry I don't remember the name of the dishes we ordered) and the food was amazing! It’s a cozy restaurant, with a comfortable atmosphere and the waiter was really nice! The music was also Greek and I think it’s a great decision! I just loved it and I’ll definitely come back.
