We went there spontaneously and had a delicious meal, feeling a bit like we were in Mexico. Very friendly service. We didn't have to wait long for anything.

We went to Acapulco Leipzig with friends and had a great evening! The atmosphere is relaxed, colorful, and a little crazy – just right for a relaxing start to the weekend. The outdoor seating area is huge and perfect for watching the hustle and bustle of the KarLi – even in winter, thanks to the heaters. The food was fresh, delicious, and came quickly: the burritos and quesadillas are especially recommended. There's also plenty of choice for vegetarians. The drinks menu is varied – cocktails, beer, Mexican classics – there's something for everyone. The value for money is absolutely perfect. The staff was friendly, attentive, and well-organized despite the large number of guests. Overall, a great place to enjoy a cozy meal and drink with friends or in a group. We'll definitely be back!

The restaurant looks very inviting from the outside and is also beautifully decorated inside. Unfortunately, it wasn't cheap at all, and the food was a huge disappointment. The nachos weren't bad, but my friend ordered a mixed burrito, which honestly only felt like palak paneer. My tacos (two grilled, so chicken, and one beef) were filled ONLY with meat. Sorry, but tacos come with salad (which there was only a tiny bit of), cheese, salsa, etc. I can't imagine anyone finding it tasty to bite into a hard taco shell with ONLY meat. The meat was a bit dry and uninterestingly seasoned. In fact, the chicken had more of an Indian flavor. I don't have anything against fusion food, but at least make sure you sign it. If you go into a typical Mexican restaurant, you might not necessarily want to bite into a burrito filled with an Indian dish, right? It wasn't even described that way on the menu. The service was reasonably friendly, but a bit disjointed. They didn't seem to have much of a clue about their work. I know what it's like to work in the restaurant industry, and I blame management more. Servers are only as good as their supervisors. In summary, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. The food was mediocre, the servers were unprofessional, and it was way too expensive for what you got.

Ordering drinks was a challenge at the beginning, but you could have brushed it off with a wink. Because we are all just human. I had the vegetable pan and was disappointed because it came from the defrosting bag from the supermarket. Plus rice, coffee and water. When I told the service that I was very disappointed, I got the answer, as other reviews have said, that it's always like that, according to the motto that nobody else complains and it's just Mexican. I should keep in mind that this does not mean that it is Mexican quality. It's a shame, because I also know from the kitchen how easy it is to cook for yourself, even when time resources seem limited. To be honest, I wouldn't have written a review at all if I had been listened to, at least. The full price was also collected after I was also offered the mysterious schnapps which I declined. I hope that the current operator will work on the wording to the customer and that the kitchen will have the time to actually prepare dishes themselves. I'm sorry I had to write this because I know what a negative recession can mean. But I hope that it will finally arrive now. Goodbye.

Geschmacklich alles andere als mexikanisch. Service nett, aber versteht kaum deutsch. 1 Stern (den man vergeben muss für eine Bewertung) Sonderwünsche (einfach einen Warp / Tortilla Fladen für das Kleinkind) konnten nicht erfüllt werden. Es wurde immer wieder auf den neutral Tortilla mit Käse verwiesen, den alle Kinder essen würden. (12€) Mehrfach gebeten diesen ohne Käsefüllung zu bringen, was nicht verstanden wurde. Also rein ins Restaurant, eine andere Person gefragt, Antwort: ja geht. SUPi Kind freut sich und zum Schluss: nein geht nicht, nur mit Käse ... ggf lag es an den mangelnden Deutschkenntnissen.... Zum Schluss für Enchilada (keine 2 sondern 1 halbiert) , etwas Hähnchenteller, Bier und Mango Lassie über 50€ bezahlt. Danach schnell in den BK fürs Kind was geholt. Übrigens waren kocht nur wir der Meinung, alle mit denen wir uns (leider zu spät) unterhalten haben! Als Tipp: neben an gibt es gute Burger, leckerer Salate, Flammkuchen und perfekten Service

Tasty but a bit overpriced and overall okay

Warning to all guests!! Especially women!!!! I went to this restaurant with my sister and it was disappointing from the start. The service was disastrous - disorganized, unfriendly and completely overwhelmed. But the really shocking thing: A waiter touched my sister inappropriately and clearly harassed her. Despite our immediate complaint, the staff downplayed the whole thing and didn't take it seriously. Such behavior is unacceptable and I find it irresponsible that management did not respond accordingly. Nobody should have to feel unsafe in a restaurant - especially not by their own staff. I can only strongly advise against visiting this place - there doesn't seem to be any respect for women in particular. DISGUSTING 🤮

Failed. Advice/requests about allergies were not taken seriously or were not taken into account several times. After many times having an order returned, a non-alcoholic drink was served instead of the alcoholic drink that had actually been ordered. Unfortunately not a good experience, the restaurant is no longer visited. The operator was informed of this and still allowed further errors. No apology from him despite the risk to his health.

The staff was great, very friendly and helpful. The food was also very tasty. Everything was fresh and it tasted great. I had dinner at Acapulco today and absolutely loved it! The atmosphere is cozy and colorful, just like you would want for a Mexican restaurant. The staff was super friendly and gave us a warm welcome. The food was fantastic - fresh ingredients, perfectly seasoned and generous portions. I was particularly impressed by the tacos and the homemade aioli. Price-performance ratio is great, I would like to come back.

Expensive and Tastless. The worst "mexican food" I had in my life. €18 for Tasteless Quesadillas with almost nothing inside. It doesn't even come close to mexican food. So dissapointing!

The strawberry daiquiris were absolutely delicious. For the price you get a decent sized portion. The 0.4L glass was topped with a mountain of daiquiri. We also had the taco trio, which also tasted wonderful. The service was very nice and we were also able to get to know the boss. We'll be back! 🫶

Das Essen war durchweg sehr lecker, die Portionen sind sehr groß. Auch die Cocktails sind gut, leider weichen die Papierstrohhalme sehr schnell. Die Sprachbarriere der Kellnerin war leider recht hoch. Mehrfach wurde das Falsche gebracht oder dem Falschen hingestellt, so dass wir beim Essen noch tauschen mussten. Den alkoholischen Cocktail erhielt die Minderjährige, das Pendant ohne Alkohol ging an die Erwachsene. Zweimal wurden Sachen gebracht, die gar nicht bestellt waren. Schade, ansonsten war es wirklich gut.

It's loud, GORGEOUSLY loud. It feels like everyone is talking at once. This atmosphere gives the delicious food a special taste. It's Friday, 7:00 p.m. The tables fill up quickly. It's also worth taking a look at the menu online and ordering a table straight away.

Our last visit to Acapulco was two years ago. I was looking forward to today's visit because my previous, albeit irregular, stays had always given me a treat. When we arrived at around 6:15 p.m., we were surprised at how busy the place was. We didn't know anything like that in the past. When I shared my impressions at the reception, I was told that 35 reservations would arrive shortly. Apparently a change of operator has now taken place. Our order was accepted quickly, but it took a long time given the small number of visitors. The food was disappointing and seemed more Indian in terms of spices. The look alone was reminiscent of Mexican food. My criticism vs. The waitress didn't find an open ear. On the contrary, it was not accepted. I was told that no guest had ever shared my feelings. When we left at 7:30 p.m., the restaurant was even less busy than when we arrived. Conclusion: Anyone expecting Mexican food, the quality and taste of yesteryear will be disappointed. Since there has also been a significant increase in monetary terms, the price/performance ratio is no longer correct. We will not visit the Acapulco again.

The location is quite large, you can sit outside or inside and the decoration looks Mexican, but a bit fake and not harmonious. For a cocktail evening you can always go to Acapulco, but for an evening with Mexican food I prefer to go to other restaurants.
