Abacco's Steakhouse in Bonn

Very friendly service and the food was truly excellent. But the best part: we wouldn't have been allowed to come without our dogs. We thought that was incredibly nice, of course. Keep it up!

The food was good. In retrospect, however, I feel one thing wasn't right. I paid by card. The device's display was held up to me and I tried to pay. It was so confusing that I paid a 10 percent surcharge on the bill for a tip. I believe the customer should be free to decide how much to tip. It was a lesson for me. From now on, only cash. I can then tip at my own discretion. So, my mistake.

Good restaurant, top service!!!!

Good food, coupled with initially good service, and a parking garage right next door—what more could you want? However, the service deteriorated toward the end of our evening, as evidenced by the fact that other people who arrived later were served faster or given priority—we don't know. It may have been a coincidence, but it leaves a bad taste in our mouths. Otherwise, the staff was friendly and, of course, the food was perfectly fine, as expected. This certainly won't be the last time we're there.

We spontaneously got a table and had a lovely evening with great food and great service from “Mo”!!! Despite the house being full, we were served quickly and in a very friendly manner. Gladly again !!!!

Unfortunately no recommendation. We had reserved a table for 7:00 p.m. today to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Restsurant was quite empty, we were able to choose a table. It took a few minutes for a waiter to come to take the drinks order. Luckily we wanted to order food straight away. But it remained the same: Argentinian steak in 300 g - not available, 400 g - not available. Then 200g - not available. There was an American steakbin 200g. Significantly more expensive than the Argentinian steak. That was it then. With 3 very good meals who would have liked to eat 300 or 400 g of steak - a joke. I find it astonishing that on a Thursday evening there was hardly any steak other than 200g available. Comment from waiter: I can't help it, I'm just the waiter. Conversation with the supervisor: There are delivery problems, everyone reported problems with Argentine meat. Then please say this as soon as you arrive at the restaurant and before the guests sit down at the table. I find it very frustrating when you choose something and are then told: it's out, it doesn't exist. Savoy then left. Thanks for a spoiled evening. We had imagined our wedding day to be different. We wanted to give the restaurant another chance after the steaks weren't available in the desired size on a Sunday evening a few weeks ago. Unfortunately, today was even worse. We were very disappointed.

On April 18th, my wife and I were in the mood for a good steak again and reserved a table for two at Abacco's in Bonn at 6:30 p.m. The usher led us to the table reserved for us, which was in the farthest (really farthest and darkest) corner of the restaurant, a tapered niche. When we asked if there was no other table available, the usher directed us to a table right next to the entrance door. Either we were dealing with an untrained temporary worker who lacked any feeling for the guest or the usher was simply unwilling. In any case, through our follow-up and our reaction to the designated tables - without any form of rudeness - we made it clear to him that neither of them met our standards. His reaction was to turn to a waiter before he even waited for our decision and he left us standing. We were surprised at this behavior, also because at that time more than half of all tables were still free and couples were already seated at tables of four. We also couldn't understand how one could seriously offer such tables to guests who have reserved - no atmosphere, no coziness, drafts (in the case of the table right next to the entrance). These tables, if they absolutely have to be reserved in order to be able to "fill" every last corner of the restaurant, are better offered to guests without reservations as a "last resort". We therefore decided to leave and will not visit this restaurant again indefinitely. There are enough alternatives where there is no attempt to accommodate the guest "in the storage room" in order to use the last square meter in the restaurant and where the staff do not simply leave you standing because you apparently have "better" things to do.

Everything is just right here, the ambience, the service and the steak on the hot plates is just a dream.

The online menus don't match the menu on site. The prices are quite high. There aren't many meat offers permanently. Everything has never been available, very strange. Just too expensive for a quick lunch. Drink prices outrageous!!!

Unfortunately I have to realize that there are two of us. We were told at 6:00 p.m. that they would have a reservation and the restaurant was empty and we were only allowed to take a table for two. According to me, I am sitting at a two table very far from the restaurant, which unfortunately I don't understand, see picture the restaurant is empty.

Service is never their strong suit, and it just hit a new low today. Extremely slow service at non-rush hour, and some very rude people!

It wasn't the first time we visited the restaurant because of the good quality of the meat. This time too we got our money's worth and were thrilled. During our visit, the waiters were clearly overworked and hardly approachable. There were hardly any opportunities to order anything or ask questions. No waiter asked what we wanted. It was also a shame that the spinach we ordered had obviously stood under the heat lamp for too long and had formed a clearly visible skin. Sponge over it. We were probably unlucky. It feels like the bad air has increased further after the restaurant was renovated due to the hot stones and steak fumes. We can only recommend wearing appropriate clothing that can then be put in the wash. Next time we'll come in summer when we can sit outside on the terrace.

The ambience is very nice, the furnishings are very tasteful. We celebrated my birthday and stated this when making the reservation. Surprisingly, I was given a dessert for my birthday after dinner, which was incredibly nice and incredibly tasty! The gentleman from service (Abtus) was extremely courteous, quick, funny and very friendly! The food was also very good! We had a great evening at Abaccos in Bonn and would love to come back!

Great food, excellent meat, great ambience. The only disadvantage was that shortly after our starter we continued with the main course. I would have liked to have had a little more time in between.

Great restaurant, price, performance perfect and generally great service. At first I deducted 1 star from the ambience because it can be quite loud. On the other hand, I know very well that this can't really be prevented and that there shouldn't be any deductions. I've eaten here several times.

We were looking forward to a delicious entrecôte (two 300 g and one 400 g), and although the steaks were well prepared, we noticed that the 400 g steak was rather smaller and angular, with significantly more fat than expected. While this didn't seriously affect the taste, it wasn't quite up to the high standard we expected at Abacco Steakhouse. Unfortunately, for the price and expectations of the house, this was a bit disappointing.

Good shop, fair prices. The rump steak was a bit tough and stringy. But gladly again.

Absolutely the best steaks in the area

Very good steak and meat quality - very unusual concept for grilling the steak yourself... everything was great, only the first time you don't fully understand how it works if you aren't attentive.

The steaks here are absolutely top. As many side dishes as you want, but now a little more expensive than in a normal restaurant. Still worth it if you like eating steaks. Clear recommendation and we will definitely come back on special occasions

Here, you'll find attentive and friendly service in a modern setting. And there's also a bit of a fun factor. Because Abacco's isn't really a steakhouse at all. You get a pre-cooked piece of meat and cook it yourself on the hot stone. A nice idea, and well executed.

Food was very tasty! It arrived very quickly and we asked regularly whether everything was OK. Things got strange when paying: We had an older - but still valid - voucher that we wanted to redeem. The lady at the door at 5 p.m. complained to her colleagues, crumpled up the voucher and ostentatiously threw it away. I don't know what problem the blonde lady with glasses had, but we didn't get a "goodbye" either. It's a shame how one person can destroy the image of a wonderful meal including perfect service at the table.

Steak very good 👍 Cool idea with the hot stone plates on which you can give your steak its final cooking. Of course, you have to want to eat like that. The service during our visit was not good. A bit rushed, no bread with the starter (when we asked, it was only much later, when the starter was almost finished). The dessert could have been more interesting or beautifully presented.

I was there for the second time on Thursday, March 19th at 5 p.m. I remembered it better the first time at the end of 2024. Food: The only good thing is the cut of meat they give you. The side dishes (all you can eat) were unfortunately average at best. It would be better to sell the side dishes "normally" and put more effort into them. My wife was either unlucky or the meat was somehow mixed up in the kitchen during portioning. She was supposed to have fillet, but it was swapped twice, and the cuts were always marbled... For the animal's sake, we gave up and only served her the side dishes. Service: At 5 p.m., there were about 10 customers there. Instead of taking care of the ordered drink, the waiter, a bit older and wearing glasses, was more concerned with enjoying his espresso at the bar. So, we waited a long time and had to remind them again. The stones eventually got cold, and it took far too long for new hot stones to arrive. The place still wasn't full, so good service would have been possible! Ambience: Basically, everything was nice. Personally, I think the menu doesn't fit with the rest of the ambiance. This piece of "cardboard" could have been designed more elegantly. The table was wobbly, so we asked the waiter if he could put something underneath it -> see service: if you're working while drinking espresso at the bar in front of customers, you're bound to forget what the customers want. The later the evening, the worse the air quality. Of course, they're cooking at the tables, so the ventilation system should be designed accordingly. Conclusion: If you get a good piece of meat, you can cook it perfectly to your liking. The side dishes, including sauces, are unfortunately just "accessories." If the waiter is having a good day and you're sitting in the fresh air, you can certainly have a nice, long evening with a good piece of meat. Unfortunately, that's too much IF for the prices charged. Sorry!

The “grill your steak at the table concept” is completely overpriced. In the end, the fumes hang in your clothes, you're not full and you're sitting at the table with your bib splattered. And you pay even more than anywhere else for medium quality meat.

My wife and I ate here on Sunday lunch after a walk along the Bonner Bogen. My wife had the 300g Iberico sirloin steak and I had the Argentinian 300g entrecote. With the fries I also ordered the coleslaw, which was homemade. You can order the side dishes free of charge, but this wasn't necessary as the fries and salad were plentiful enough. We really enjoyed the food and we also liked the ambience. We'll definitely come back again.

Tonight I went to Abacco's Steakhouse with the family for the first time. Everyone noticed the perfect service. The waiters were both friendly and accommodating. Overall the evening was a delight, so we will definitely be back.

We had a wonderful evening at Abaccos Steakhouse today! The food was simply fantastic - the steaks were perfectly cooked, tender and full of flavour. The selection of side dishes was also excellent and completed the entire experience. The service was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. We came by spontaneously today after having been there a year ago. The last visit was very bad due to a combination of several unfavorable factors. But we wanted to try again and were disappointed again! We dropped by spontaneously at 4 p.m. without a reservation. Store 1/5 full. The waitress asked if we could make it in 90 minutes. We said yes and were seated at a table. And that's where it ends. Afterwards we were completely ignored by the staff! No question about drinks or anything like that. There are 5 at the bar!!!! Scared, better equipped than any intensive care unit in this country and yet no one came. Not even after making eye contact. After waiting for 15 minutes, we got up, walked past these 5 employees towards the exit and were even stared at arrogantly and stupidly. Strangely enough, you get excellent service in the store at business lunches and dressed in a suit (information from a work colleague) ;) It makes no sense to me to treat the time of customers who are willing to pay like this. We won't be coming back! And in our circle we advise against visiting.

We went to Abacco's for the first time today. It was breathtaking 😍 Our waiter Dennis recommended the US steak. It was crazy. Afterwards we ate the cheesecake and the trio panna cotta. Really the best steak we have ever eaten and the desserts were also delicious. The service with Dennis couldn't have been better, from the wine candied at the table to the constant pouring of wine and water. He kept an eye on everything even though it was very busy. Big compliments to such a great employee at this restaurant. 👍👍👍 Thank you very much for the great evening, we'll be back.

The welcome was very warm. We were shown straight to the table even though we were early and were even able to choose a table. You could roast the meat yourself on a hot stone as desired. The grilled vegetables were very tasty, as were the garlic herb butter and the mango curry butter. The dips offered with it were also very good. The supplements can be reordered as desired at no extra charge. The service was very courteous and attentive, but also very relaxed. We can recommend this steakhouse with a clear conscience.

I have been here several times and am thrilled every time. Everyone else in the respective groups was also enthusiastic. The meat is simply fantastic and worth the high price if you really appreciate good meat. Delivery with a hot stone enables individual cooking and a special experience. The supplements can be shared and will be refilled free of charge. The potato gratin is particularly amazing here, but the other side dishes are also consistently delicious. The house lemonade is fresh and provides a delicious cooling down, despite the hot stones 😉 The waitresses are consistently quick, friendly and courteous. I have to deduct a star from the ambience because there are comfortable armchairs, but it is a large room, so the overall noise level is very high. Reservation strongly recommended.

The meat is served almost raw; it has only briefly been grilled in the kitchen. The meat is served with a hot stone so that you can cut off slices and cook them yourself. I like it quite a bit and the dips and fries and especially the cucumber salad are really tasty. We were able to order fries and cucumber salad at no extra charge and you can also get a new hot stone if the first plate no longer heats up sufficiently. Unfortunately, it's quite expensive there and you smell like freshly smoked food after visiting the restaurant. The quality was very good this year, just like last year, but unfortunately nothing has changed in the behavior of the "grumpy" head waiter. Well... you can't have everything, I guess.

A visit to a restaurant is like a small event - you receive the meat you ordered briefly fried and can then continue to fry it yourself on a hot stone. I actually think it's great when the chef hits my cooking point perfectly, but grilling it myself was also fun. The restaurant is very full and therefore sometimes a bit noisy, but the service is extremely friendly and gave us a pleasant evening. We had salad, shrimp, steak, lamb, chicken, grilled vegetables, butter, garlic bread, ice cream and espresso. Everything was great!

The ABACCO'S STEAKHOUSE in Bonn is a very good steakhouse! I was particularly excited about the opportunity to reorder the supplements free of charge. A rare service these days. The highlight of the evening, however, was definitely the barbecue on the hot stone. This allows each guest to prepare the meat exactly to their taste. Last but not least, the quality of the meat was simply outstanding. From the tenderness to the taste, everything was right. Definitely come back. I was back now and it was another experience

The meat is always of top quality. Fries are great and the sauces that come with them are also suitable. The side salad has a really delicious dressing. Unfortunately you can't go every week, but you should go every 8 weeks :) Clear recommendation.

Very cozy restaurant with space. If you love good meat, this is the place for you. The meat is served in English style and you can then cook it as you wish on your own hot stone. This means you always have a warm piece of meat on the table. The side dishes are delicious, but they weren't really warm for us. A wide selection of desserts are also available. There should be something for everyone. The staff is very nice and accommodating. If there's a lot going on, it can take a little longer, but that's okay given the overall package.

On the third weekend of Advent we went to the Bonn Christmas market, which is definitely worth a visit. But we wanted to have a leisurely meal at a restaurant and at the Christmas market we only had potato pancakes as an appetizer. The choice then fell on the restaurant "Abacco's Steakhouse" in Bonn-Ramersdorf, where you can also stop for a meal "between times". At around 3 p.m. the restaurant wasn't full and we were able to choose a nice table. Abacco's is modern, but still comfortably furnished. We ordered the Surf & Turf skewer, the 300g US medallion sirloin and the children's beef fillet steak. The food didn't take long to arrive and was delicious. You cook the meat yourself on a hot stone. If you like this, it's definitely a great thing. By the way, every dish comes with enough fries and three types of sauces. When paying by card, Abacco's has also jumped on the trend of suggesting preset percentages to the guest... if you like it, I'm just saying... Despite this small point of criticism, it was a successful visit to the restaurant and if you like steaks, Abacco's is in good hands!

It was a disappointing experience when we first dined there following recommendations from friends. We arrived and were greeted nicely and shown to our table. When we sat down, we noticed that there was hair in the dishes. These were then replaced after we informed them. After we ordered, we received our starter. Where first two plates were dirty. The only response from service for these errors was “Oh, it’s bad, I’ll replace it.” Then came the main course. In addition to the meat, we had grilled vegetables and cucumber salad as side dishes. Unfortunately, the cucumber salad tasted as if someone had cut a cucumber into small pieces and drowned it in cream. No seasoning to taste at all. The grilled vegetables were quite soggy and soggy, and it felt like the seasoning wasn't there. Unfortunately the meat was a complete disappointment for the money. Almost all of our meat just tasted like smoke. In the mouth, the good taste of meat was only drowned out by the bitter taste of smoke. Which made eating not an experience, but torture.
