His passion for good food and his style make the visit an unforgettable experience. Looking for potential '87!!! If you're in Baden-Baden, you have to eat here! Absolute recommendation! the price/performance ratio is underground! The food really didn't taste good: and that's why the almost full plate was sent back. Nobody asked us what the reason was! The Tables are kept much too small, so you have to be careful that nothing falls down. Even the waitress couldn't find space to set it up. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this restaurant.

This is the 8th time my review has been reported for “defamation”! EDIT: Mamma Lina immediately reports bad reviews to Google and has them deleted if you no longer have any receipts. WITHOUT WORDS!! Embarrassing, don't you think? Nevertheless, I'm happy to take the time and respond to Google's email in detail so that my review remains valid. The number of likes not only makes me feel dissatisfied with negative reviews that have been reported to me. I would recommend everyone to just avoid such a store. Unfortunately my experience was out of date. The bread was hard to bite, the crust was so hard. Every baked roll is better. We were made to wait 45 minutes for our main course. When I asked politely (!) after 35 minutes, “When can we expect the pizza?”, I received a loud, stroppy answer: “Yes, you've only had a starter, just be patient, okay?!”. Haven't they been trained here on how to deal with customers? For a restaurant in a not so low price segment, you at least expect friendliness, just so that you as a customer feel comfortable, enjoy sitting at the table and can enjoy the ambience. In other restaurants in this price range, people carefully monitor when the starter has been eaten and then the main course is served. Here we waited hungry for the main course for a whole 3/4 hour and were then pampered. Not to mention, the appetizer was a touch of nothing, dead-fried in hard breading for an extremely hefty sum. One star for the pizza. But I can also get it elsewhere in a feel-good atmosphere.

Was buzzing. Staff attentive and food was faultless. Bruschetta and Arancini balls to start with Maradona pizza and carbonara to share. Definitely need to book though

So that wasn't a good evening. Three pasta dishes had too much pepper and too little salt. The porcini pasta was completely tasteless. We also ordered an antipasti plate (€17 according to the menu) and in the end we were charged €30. When we asked, we were told that they had made a larger plate, but no one had ordered it and it was too much because many people didn't want to eat the starter. Overall, pretty frustrating evening.

Christmas trip with the kids to Baden-Baden and then dinner at Mama Lina. Very nice atmosphere and very friendly staff. Starters (Fritto misto and Buratta) as well as the pizza were TOP! Only the pasta dish wasn't quite as it should have been. The team reacted mega and insisted on a great Christmas present as compensation. Auntie grazie ☺️

So my pizza tasted good but the base wasn't for me. The lasagne and side salad tasted very good. You just have to try it. What bothered me was no drinks menu for beer, soda, non-alcoholic drinks. Prices not known. Only wine list. Sitting with heaters that actually heat well. If you sit on the outside it can be a bit drafty.

The most overrated restaurant I've ever been to, and I've been to quite a few. I don't understand the good reviews, I imagine that what is offered here is something very good considering German gastronomy. I don't know if the noodles are artisanal but they were just right, in my case a decent amount with well cooked meat that was nicely crumbled. But someone in the kitchen confused the meaning of flavor with the meaning of too much salt, a common mistake but unbearable at such high prices for a pasta you can make at home. The desserts were decent, although nothing notable other than the sugar content, a bit sweet, I don't know if they were homemade. Good presentation, although I don't know if mine fell apart or if someone tried to make a failed innovative design. The water? It must come from the spring in the palace of the Greek gods. Either that or it's a scam. By the way, maybe it's a personal opinion, I do something that 99% of customers don't do. Check the dishwasher, if it is not maintained, the smell may stick to the glasses (bad smell). The service saved the business, but the space is very narrow, you can't speak in a polite tone because so many people are sitting in such a small space, you almost had to share the table with the neighbors. The tables at McDonald's are better arranged and have more space. In short, very high prices for the quality they offer in many ways. It gives the impression that you are trying to pretend to be more than what you are. I hope this review helps improve the quality of the restaurant.

Extremely disappointed following our reservation last night. We knew the "old" Mamma Lina and were happy to come back after many years. Huge disappointment! “Modern” decoration and atmosphere, but impersonal, without character and dark. Exorbitant prices for quality, tasteless service. Our table was also in the middle of a draft which made our experience even worse.

I recently visited this restaurant on Valentine's Day and I'm sorry to say I was disappointed. The food was rather tasteless and was not convincing in any way. The service was also unfriendly and made the overall impression even worse. After two hours we were asked to vacate our table because other guests were already waiting - an unpleasant situation. The ambience was nice, but unfortunately very loud, making relaxed conversation almost impossible. Considering the mediocre food and unfriendly service, I found the price-performance ratio to be way too high. I really can't understand the hype surrounding this restaurant and probably won't visit it again.

The food was very good, but the service was super slow and a bit unfriendly. Despite a reservation (which was made several weeks before) we were placed on the terrace (in winter), which was heated and in a tent, but it was extremely drafty and was too uncomfortable to stay for long.

The two of us were there spontaneously at 1:30 p.m. during the week. There were only two other guests at another table in the restaurant at the time. The atmosphere is really nice, modern and appealing. The waiter seated us and offered us a bottle of water in advance, which we gladly accepted. This happened before we could even take a look at the drinks menu, which annoyed us afterwards because we certainly wouldn't have paid 8.80 euros for a bottle of room-temperature Aqua Panna that was already prepared at the counter. Unfortunately, we didn't get a lunch menu either, so the quick bottle of water in advance was more important. Prices are not Napoli, but Venice. I'm happy to pay for good quality that you can actually taste here compared to other pizzerias, but I still think the price is way too high. We would have liked to have had a tiramisu as an Italian dessert classic at the end, but for 15 euros per portion, I was speechless. Overall, the concept may be right, Instagram appearance etc., but the prices are more for a noble Italian restaurant, but the food is not, just better quality.

The service was great! We've eaten there twice now and unfortunately we weren't particularly impressed twice! Because of the videos on Instagram we thought we'd stop by, but we were really disappointed! The taste is ok but serving a handful of pasta with 4 prawns for €25 is quite a word! Gamberonis weren't they rather small shrimps... unfortunately the pizza was also soggy and slightly burnt from the bottom... a shame 3 dishes 4 small drinks for 85€ a lot for what was served.

It was our first time in Baden Baden for several days and we chose the restaurant because it was close to the hotel. In our opinion, from the moment you enter the restaurant everything is just right, very friendly welcome, wonderful atmosphere, attentive and courteous staff and probably the most important thing: a super delicious meal. Pizza on the first day, both pasta and pasta for my wife on the second day. Each meal is delicious in its own right. Judging by the number of visitors, it has long been known as an insider tip in Baden-Baden. So be sure to reserve a table in advance. We've been to many restaurants in Germany, but 87 Mamma Lina is probably one of the best we've ever gotten to know.

Unfortunately, the food wasn't consistently convincing; one of the dishes didn't taste good and was served just lukewarm. It was taken back to warm it up. Due to my complaint, has However, the restaurant responded very professionally and offered us an espresso and dessert as compensation, which we appreciated! The atmosphere was hectic, crowded and loud. When booking you were asked if you had any wishes. It was a special occasion and the request not to sit near the entrance unfortunately didn't work.

Wow! Very enjoyable and the food was delicious. Customer service was excellent and very welcoming. We stayed across the street so I can’t speak to parking and I would definitely recommend calling for a reservation. The lasagne was incredible, no kidding. The drinks were excellent, especially the espresso martini. They were welcoming to our small dog as well. Highly recommend!

I ordered a table for 5 people and was very happy! However, despite doing everything possible to keep us warm, we unfortunately had to enjoy our food in the cold! Next time let people know where the guests are sitting and ask if it's okay! We would have preferred to be in there for the money you asked!

We were traveling home to Switzerland with a child and made a special stop in Baden Baden because of Mamma Lina ☺️ we love the restaurant and the food very much!

Great pasta, good service and nice ambience. The only downside is that it's not really in the middle of the town, but actually a plus for us since we stayed in Roomers across the street. We had spaghetti carbonara and truffle tagliatelle, both are on point al dente.

Mamma Lina is one of the top Italian restaurants in Germany. Why? We spent 4 days in Baden-Baden and dined there 3 times. That says it all! Here, Angelo including his family and his team practice gastronomy with pure passion every day. The selection of dishes is varied and each dish is lovingly prepared. How brilliantly this restaurant presents itself on social media makes some restaurateurs in Germany look old. The Mamma Lina is a “place to be” in Baden-Baden and the city should roll out the red carpet for possible further projects. I definitely wish you all the best for the future and I now come regularly to Baden-Baden because of Mamma Lina.

Everything is really cool and stylish, super nice gastronomic concept. There's really something going on in the store. Delicious drinks to start with, a nice service team and a small, fine wine list with a focus on the Tenuta San Guido and 😊Antinori. The food was also very tasty. Definitely recommended and I would definitely go there again.

Where should I start... First the positive… - high quality and good food, especially the bread and the pizza, really great! - Ambience really modern & nice - Service generally good / there are a bunch of staff running around - Parking is possible in the Festspielhaus car park However, I would also like to share the negative experiences with you….unfortunately… - Basically, in my opinion, the restaurant is clearly “overhyped” by Instagram etc. - I was also hooked through Instagram and then got a voucher box for Christmas and was really looking forward to the visit (150km journey ONE WAY!) When we got there, we were assigned a table outside even though we had explicitly reserved a standard table (our assumption was inside?) / we then raised the issue and luckily got a table inside anyway (they solved it well 👍🏼). ) The table was then in the direct door area (behind the glass), which is why there was still a very unpleasant draft, but we also managed to bridge that by using the backs of chairs. The voucher should have included 2 glasses of Prosecco. We were informed on site that you would need a separate voucher, which should have been included in the box, but it wasn't. Instead of simply accepting the lack in a customer-oriented manner and still serving the glasses (we had the proof of purchase for the Bix everything with us), there was a little discussion with the conclusion that we then received the glasses with the note ("... actually I don't have to do that now do but boss said I have to do it”)… phew. Missing voucher, yes ok, but is that our direct problem if it wasn't included in the box? Definitely could have been solved better! Let's move on. We ordered bread as a starter (it tastes great, but costs extra) and really enjoyed it with oil etc. Then we ordered more bread (costs again) but just didn't get any more oil?! Unfortunately very inattentive. We then waited for some time (the waiter walked past us several times without looking) and finally, somewhat frustrated, we asked ourselves. Luckily everything was great with the drinks and the main course. All in all, I unfortunately found the visit a bit disappointing. For these prices (e.g. 2 pizzas for 48€) I really expect SIGNIFICANTLY more. Too bad.

What do you expect when you dine with an Instagram celebrity? No surprises, but definitely better food than the Italian restaurant around the corner. And Mamma Lina doesn't disappoint. There were 4 of us and we ate everything from starter to pasta to dessert. As a starter we had the antipasti and bruscetta. The taste of the Bruscetta stands out from other restaurants thanks to the pesto under the tomatoes and the fresh burrata cheese. The mixed antipasti were of high quality and tasted good. The three pasta dishes were also convincing. The Lasagna 2.0 and Mezze Rigate with salmon, classics on every Italian restaurant menu, were full in terms of taste and portion. With the Mezze Rigate with vodka, the special flavor of the vodka didn't come through enough. The burger for our son was also worth the money. The lava cake and the espressos rounded off the evening's taste. The service, which some reviews complain about, was also good. Overall, the evening was successful in terms of cuisine and ambience. The trip to Baden-Baden was worth it. Reservations are strongly recommended.

I went on Wednesday 01/01/25, it was me and my wife, we ordered a beef carpaccio, which arrived with grated parmesan and without truffles, a veal with tuna sauce all piled high and with pine nuts, which was not written on the menu according to a scallop with lemon, price 31 euros, arrives at the table after 50 minutes on the plate three strips of meat, one different in size from the other, I call the waiter and tell him I notice what he brought me and I ask him if they are leftovers of meat, he tells me he's going to ask in the kitchen, he comes back but doesn't give me an answer, they weren't even floured as they should be, in any case it's rubbish, my wife orders some ravioli with cherry tomatoes and burrata but the cherry tomatoes were mixed with the sauce, an incompetent service, because the table next to us was a family they left all the pizzas and the dishes were still on the table even after they had paid, they ask me if I want bread, since I have the starter I say yes, in the end it is put on my bill.. I'm sorry but I eat a thousand times better at home, my bill just drinking water for two is 110 euros.. I don't advise

I liked the food. Especially the dessert. The wines were also good. Maybe I'm not used to the prices in Baden Baden, but the food seems a bit too expensive to me. Ambience and service were great. If we are in Baden Baden again we would like to come back.

The pizzas are excellent! Beautiful heated terrace in winter and top service.

Tested several times. The Neapolitan style pizzas are excellent. Most of the dishes are also very good. The desserts tested were, however, less successful. The restaurant benefits from a pleasant location and decoration. The terrace is very nice in summer. In winter it is transformed into a heated chalet-style marquee with plaids whose decor is not very successful and where it is sometimes too cold. Instead, prefer the interior.

I entered the restaurant at 10.25 (the restaurant closes at 11) and upon entering they told me that they no longer did cooking (it wasn't written anywhere that the kitchen was closed at that time), among other things they didn't even speak Italian. We had a cold seat in a pavilion behind the restaurant. I hadn't imagined it like that. Service staff are extremely rushed and yet it takes forever. Food is ok, but the price-performance ratio is out of proportion Don't belive the hype!

We ordered for delivery. I can't understand all the hype surrounding this restaurant. Unfortunately very disappointing compared to other addresses. The dough on the pizzas was really nothing. So not suitable for delivery. The octopus salad consisted only of pieces of octopus and onions with some mint leaves. To charge such a price for this is quite cheeky. Unfortunately, the taste was not something you would have to have again.

I don't recommend it! After waiting over 15 minutes, when our turn came, we were turned away without any obvious explanation and the people behind us kept our table. It appears that the owners have preferences for certain customers, which is unacceptable and considered discrimination in any country in the European Union

A very nice restaurant that is more spacious than expected. It was very nice outside and very warm despite the cold weather. The conditions were friendly, but we had to wait longer than usual for the drinks. The price-performance ratio for the drinks didn't appeal to me. The ravioli were delicious and I enjoyed them well. Unfortunately my food was only lukewarm and the ravioli wasn't quite cooked through in some places. The Margherita 2.0 pizza was good. The dough was fluffy and good. The topping was cold and too much.

We made reservations in advance by phone, which worked out great. We had a table for two right next to the fire. The ambience is incredible in the winter garden! A real feel-good factor. The service from the waiter was great. He really knew what was on the menu and was able to make some recommendations. You can see in the pictures what we each ordered. But I would say the pasta is a must!!! An absolute dream. I can only recommend everyone to eat there and end the evening comfortably.

It's very loud in the restaurant and I also smelled like a fireplace afterwards. But that's probably the price to pay if you want a wood-fired pizza.

We took a nice day trip from Frankfurt to Baden-Baden, first visiting the Christmas market and then having dinner in this restaurant. Overall, the food was really very good, especially the pizza – absolutely outstanding! Unfortunately, the wine advice disappointed us, especially given the high wine prices. More specialist knowledge and commitment would have been desirable here. Basic knowledge was not available. All in all, a worthwhile end to a great day.

The best Neapolitan pizza I've had in Germany so far. Very authentic taste. Top!

We had made a reservation for 3 people and sat in the winter tent. It was romantic, but despite the patio heaters and ovens it was a bit frosty with the outside temperature being 1 degree. It's hectic and cramped in the restaurant, the guests waiting at the entrance and the narrow seating turn the restaurant into a snack bar. Our waiter was very nice and attentive. Starter Vitello Tonnato, a heap of Vitello Tonnato came on a blue and white plate, which I found neither appealing nor appropriate to serve such an expensive starter in a heap on a colorful plate. The burger, pizza and tagliatelle were delicious. The mini tiramisu for 15 euros is a disgrace and not justified. We had ordered 0.5 liters of Primitivo, which is not a special wine and to charge 25 euros for it is extortionate. A bottle of water in the supermarket costs 1.29 euros here and costs 8.80 euros. Given the overpriced menu, you should think of the bread and oil is a greeting from the kitchen, but far from it, it's €0.70 per nose on the bill. If I eat here again, I know what I won't order again.

Excellent pizza, and the homemade ice tea is top notch! The setting is nice and very authentic, I can only recommend this place. Only downside: the cutlery and the plate are not very practical and not necessarily suitable (the knife is not very effective and the plate is a little too small for the pizza), but the experience is still very pleasant

Food is absolutely top. Octopus was awesome. Pizza too. Service was either blind or overwhelmed. Tried to order something several times and it didn't work. Had to pay and then go to the service yourself. Our “hello” at the entrance was met with silent looks and a “please wait until service arrives”. The atmosphere in the “Wintergarten” is a bit like a Christmas market but very cool in itself. The toilets resemble a disco toilet. They didn't say goodbye either.

Subject: Complaint regarding an unpleasant experience at the restaurant Madam, Sir, I would like to write to you to express our dissatisfaction following a very unpleasant experience that we had in your establishment. On September 22, my family and I came to your restaurant for dinner. When we arrived, we were greeted in a less than courteous manner by the waiter, who immediately asked us if we would like a bottle of water, without taking the time to let us get seated. Afterward, we chose our meals, but the waiter continued to speak quickly in German, even though we are French speakers. (Without trying to speak English as an international language.) This situation made communication difficult and frustrating. My mother (who speaks perfect German) ordered a glass of wine for each of us, five glasses in total. However, my mother had asked if what the waiter brought us was indeed considered as such. The waiter replied in German saying that it was indeed a drink. How surprised we were when we noticed that the waiter had charged us a quarter of a bottle of wine per person, despite our clear request for individual glasses. When we made this complaint, the manager, Roberto Tortora, intervened in an unpleasant manner, claiming that we had already consumed this wine and addressing my mother in a disrespectful manner. Additionally, his comments about the French were inappropriate and added to our dissatisfaction. It is unacceptable to treat customers in this manner, and we have of course expressed our displeasure with this situation. In the end, we were forced to pay for three out of five glasses of wine, which did not match our original order. We have very bitter memories of mama Lina, we will never come back to this restaurant again. TO FLEE.

We've been there several times and we've never been disappointed. No matter whether pizza or pasta, everything tastes great and luckily there are also more unusual dishes. The pizzas are Neapolitan style and have a super fluffy edge. The pasta is spot on. If you don't know what it should be, just ask the waitress for a tip and you can be sure that you can definitely take it. The prices are a little higher for a pizzeria, but the service, ambience and dishes are worth it. You also experience a positive surprise in the toilets. Everything was very clean and really an experience. Clear recommendation and a must for us when we are in Baden-Baden.

We visited Baden-Baden in August and discovered a local music festival in front of Kurhaus. Mamma Lina had a stall selling handmade pizzas. Those were wonderful: soft and stretchy dough, crisp bake, strong aroma of wheat and mozarella. Simple ingredients done right. By far the best pizza we found in Germany.

Unfortunately the truffle pizza didn't taste like truffles. The truffle pasta and the pulipo, on the other hand, were very good. Unfortunately the service was subpar. We waited a long time to be able to order. And after the meal we cleared away, but we didn't ask if we wanted dessert or anything else. The restaurant could easily have made 100 euros more in sales if someone had stopped by every now and then.

I was here with my family for my birthday and I have to say we were all very impressed. The service was excellent and we really enjoyed every dish that came to the table. We'll definitely be back. Thank you also for the little attention for my birthday, we really felt very comfortable.

Best food, best quality, best ambience

Wonderful! Everything, starter, main course and dessert, super tasty, well served.

Installed on the covered terrace with stoves and blankets. Truffle pizzas but very light in quantity of truffle! If you are not careful, oil and bread are served and charged! The wine is also very expensive there

Too expensive for what you get. We had two unseasoned pasta dishes with overcooked noodles. Of course you can add salt, but it lacked any taste. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was very nice.

Here I only rate the Christmas market stand and not the restaurant itself. Drove 200 kilometers just to try out the pasta and pizza. When I got there I realized that there was no more pasta and the pizza wasn't advertised as much as it was in the Instagram ad, and I wasn't impressed with the taste. It's a shame. The staff looked like they didn't feel like working anymore and would rather smoke a cigarette in front of the counter. Maybe I'll try out the restaurant myself at some point, as I still enjoy watching the boss's videos on Insta.

Unfortunately we were disappointed with this restaurant. Given the prices quoted, I would have expected much better quality, especially in a city like Baden-Baden. The service was friendly and attentive, but the food couldn't keep up. The taste is average, the portions are small and the overall price-performance ratio is inadequate. It's a shame, because the first impression was promising.

Disastrous food and degrading treatment, not recommended, greetings

Extremely good, nothing to say about the quality of the dishes, but the prices are exorbitant. These are prices that you can see in Switzerland. A 75ml bottle of water at €8.90; never seen before...

The only highlight were the first-class handcrafted cocktails. A bartender who knows his craft and doesn't belong there. We were served alternately by a total of 5 waitresses, 2 of whom were friendly, although it was already a work in progress to get a waitress to the table. 1.5 hours of waiting and 6 reminders about the service for a cola ordered right at the beginning are definitely too much. The prices for food and drinks would be reasonable (for Baden-Baden) if the quality was right, but the portion sizes and presentation varied from opulent and elegant to puny and were more reminiscent of a visit to a fast food chain (Frittura Mista). Some of my companions were already full after the starter, while others were already thinking about where they could eat something afterwards to fill up after the starter and main course. Some of the toppings on the pizzas were still refrigerator cold, which would be less of a problem with arugula or something similar than with the meatballs (The Bud Spencer Pizza). The seasoning of the dishes ranged from over-spiced, almost over-salted, to tasteless, as if the pasta had been cooked without salt (tartufo in parmesan). If you offer dishes in this price category with fresh truffles, the truffle should also have a certain level of quality; it is not enough to cover a food with truffles if the truffle used has no taste and is reminiscent of an apple in the mouth. Therefore I can't recommend the food or the service, only the cocktails and homemade drinks are on a level that is worth the price.

Very nice atmosphere, very courteous staff. The price/performance ratio is phenomenally good.

I've been there a few times and they simply have the best pizza in the region. Everything else was always very tasty and the service was friendly and accommodating.

We came to this restaurant spontaneously. There was really a lot going on inside. Almost all the tables seemed to be occupied. We were asked if we wanted to sit on the winter terrace. Since it is winter, we asked what the temperatures were there. The answer was cozy. So we were taken to the winter terrace. We came to a terrace which was wrapped in winter-proof and transparent plastic sheets. There were great patio heaters everywhere, which created a really cozy atmosphere. The arrangement of the tables was stylish and attractive. Even though you were actually sitting more or less outside (covered and protected from winter), you felt comfortable despite the winter outside temperatures. A jacket was not necessary. We tried the starters, which tasted very good. The main courses were also extremely tasty. The prices are a bit on the higher end but the quality of the location and the food are worth it. We agreed that we would come back. There are hardly any parking spaces on site, but a parking garage with reasonable prices can be reached in just a 2-minute walk. We are happy to recommend this restaurant.

We tried to go for lunch. After sat for a while nobody came to our table. It’s expensive by the way.

Not sure what all the fuss is about? Very overpriced, average Italian food that arrives in small portions. Food was way over salted and relatively bland. Oh and they charge €9 for a bottle of still water 😠

The prices are really tough. Get the Caesar salad and be amazed

I rarely give full marks, but here it's really deserved. We Berliners only know this restaurant from Instagram. But even there the pasta dishes looked sensational. Now we were in Karlsruhe on a weekend and after arriving we went back to Baden Baden to eat here. What can I say, it was an incredibly beautiful evening from door to door. Being welcomed with an aperitif was a great touch. Food was very good! Carbonara was great, as was my wife's fish. Super friendly waitress with whom we had a bargain drink. Simply great, it's a shame it's so far away, but the next travel destinations will definitely be in the region Thanks

Best pizzeria in Baden Baden... worth a visit... reserving in advance is a must..

I came here because of the many good reviews and I have to say the hype isn't worth it to me. Parking: We had to look for a parking space for over 30 minutes because all the surrounding parking garages were occupied, visitor parking would certainly be an advantage here. Restaurant : The decor style and interior were very nice, depending on where you sat you could get a glimpse of the kitchen. Service: The entire service was very friendly and attentive, it was my friend's birthday and there was a brownie on the house. Food: We ordered the Giallo and the Don Diablo pizza, both in the classic Neapolitan style, tasted good but not great, I've had far better pizza in some other restaurants. All in all okay but not really recommended.
