Always incredibly delicious and really beautifully presented! It's a bit more expensive, but it's definitely worth the money, as not only is the quality of the food excellent, but the taste is also really convincing!

This is our third time eating here. And always totally thrilled. The staff goes to great lengths to find the perfect spot for guests. The lychee lemonade is my absolute highlight. Not accepting card payments is an absurdity in itself, but explicitly writing on the internet that you accept cards and NFC and then refusing to do so on site would be seen as an invitation to every competitor to send this store a competition warning.

The food was good, diverse, and well-presented. However, everything leaned towards the sweeter side—whether sauces or dressings. Even the drinks enhanced the overall sweetness, leaving no room for savoury or spicy balance. • The dumplings with mango sauce were enjoyable, the spring rolls were light but lacked distinct flavor inside, and the bao was nicely topped with vegan chicken, veggies, and raw mango. Service was quick, staff was courteous, and there was ample seating. The biggest downside: they don’t accept card payments, so I had to withdraw cash. • The dragon rolls (bowl #20) were quite oily, and the tamarind-based sauce added to the sweetness. • The veggie and tofu-based dishes were fresh and flavorful but followed the same sweet trend. The mango coconut smoothie and lychee lemonade were fresh and enjoyable. We ended with ginger lime tea, served in a bowl—an interesting touch, but it had too much honey, adding to the sweetness overload. Overall, a satisfying meal but could use more savoury or spiced elements.

My family and friends love this restaurant. Great small and large vegan dishes and you won't miss meat in the slightest. Although I like to eat good meat every now and then, I have to treat myself to this creative, delicious cuisine on a regular basis. Almost always full in the evenings. It's fine during the day. I miss the rapper waiter. 😉

Super tasty restaurant for small but also big appetites. If you decide on the bowls, I think a quantity of 2 to 3 bowls per person is good, depending on how hungry you are. Plus, of course, a bowl of rice or noodles. I will definitely eat here again. It's super easy to order using a slip of paper so you can get advice in peace and the service is always really nice. The best we've found so far are the summer rolls, the steamed dumplings (Ha Cao) and the peanut butter magic sticks.

Food: Simply great. All dishes taste great, there is a large selection and each one has its own twist. Service: Although the restaurant was always full to the brim when I visited, the service was great and you didn't have to wait too long for what you ordered. Ambience: A little too tight for my taste when it's at full capacity, but otherwise it's fine.

I have some craving for their fried tempura udon (Ying Yang bowl). It’s a very satisfying meal. They’re becoming more expensive. My friend ordered something with cucumber, it was so little. And it was not cheap, not worth ordering. The lemonade was good. I once went there to take away. The staff was very nice. The wait was short. Avoid meal time if you don’t want to queue (summer time). After eating, you can go to get some ice cream nearby

The food was good, unfortunately not very hot, but extremely tasty with great sauces and dips. I've eaten the Bao Buns, which were much more aromatic and original, but here the vegan patty wasn't my cup of tea - very filling, nutritious and not so aromatic. The ambience is right, the waiters are quick, and orders are processed completely and without errors (even with us as a smaller group) and you quickly feel at home. The toilets are clean. Unfortunately, the acoustics are poor and communication is very difficult or even impossible for larger groups. There should be a remedy here.

One of my fave spots for vegan eating in town.

It used to be my favorit place for vietnamese cuisin. But the food become so bland in the last years. For example: The curry is overcooked vegetables, the sauce to thick and tasteless. I went there three times in last 2 years and everytime I was disappointed afterwards. I do not know what happend. But this is not a good place anymore to eat anymore. There are so many good place close by, choose something else. All the food ratings are from a long time ago or from people that do not appreciate authentic food.

The shop is very cute. Yes, it was a little louder but it wasn't very annoying. We waited half an hour until we could place the first order. Food came quickly and tasted really good. We then waited for 2 hours until we independently looked for another stupid order slip at the counter and thus drew attention to ourselves so that we could place a second order. So wouldn't go there again.

Review for 1990 Vegan Living – Berlin 1990 Vegan Living in Berlin is a real place to enjoy vegan food! As vegetarians, we immediately felt at home here and were able to enjoy an incredibly diverse and delicious menu. We had the vegan tofu skewers, which were served in a crispy breading and with a delicious peanut sauce - simply a highlight! There was also the tofu with eggplant, which was in a coat of fresh green leaves - never eaten like this before, but incredibly tasty. Next we tried a delicious curry and steamed dumplings - also very, very tasty! The special thing about this restaurant is the principle: you can order tapas mini bowls and add plenty of side dishes such as rice, udon noodles or rice noodles. The portions are so generous that you will definitely be full and can try your way through the menu. If you prefer a large meal, you can also find large dishes that are a meal in themselves. Another highlight was that they have Tiger beer on offer - perfect as a refreshment with the dishes! For anyone who loves vegan food and wants to try new, creative dishes, 1990 Vegan Living is an absolute must-visit in Berlin!

Cozy restaurant with super nice service. We are neither vegetarian nor vegan and only went there for the sake of our daughter who is vegetarian. What can I say: this was by far the best meal we have eaten in a long time. There is a great selection and the price-performance ratio is great. Our absolute insider tip for Berlin. Wouldn't recommend.. had a dinner at SORA yesterday and hasn't compared. Wouldn't come back and for the price the food was very bland. Service was great though! Only why I've given it an extra star! Very disappointed cause the reviews looked great.

We had 8 different tapas and some noodles. The dishes were too spicy and it is not clear what you are eating. The noodles were glue.

Had to walk out, terrible service. Lunch time, sat 15 mins and no water or menu provided. I was confused if I had to order in the front but people who came later were given menus. As I was leaving I confronted the waiter and he was acting ignorant though he clearly saw me sit there the whole time. Never supporting this level of service, so disappointed. Absolutely clear recommendation! Very good selection of exclusively vegan dishes. Very nice service and well located at Boxhageber Platz. Reservations are not possible as far as we can see, it was well attended, but we managed to find a place. With 6 small bowls, extra rice and two drinks, we got a good price and were completely full at the end. Special tip "Princess & Pea" - best beans I've eaten so far. The food arrived fresh, warm and quickly. Here you can ONLY pay in cash.

The food is incredibly tasty and of good quality. In terms of price, you pay around €13 for a large bowl or you can take several small bowls (around 3-4 pieces) for €3.5. The lunch menu is the best, you get a large bowl including tea for under €10. The service is very good, if it's busy you have to wait a bit. Unfortunately, reservations are not possible and you can only pay in cash, which is why “only” 4 stars from me.

I'm not vegan, but I can say that the food is delicious! We are from Brazil.

Exceptional food and very good value for money. We ordered gyozas that come with a delicious mango cream, fried sweet potato that comes with a super light and very refreshing mayonnaise. Then as a main course I tried the Ying Yang Bowl and the best was the tofu stick coated in panko and cornflakes with a slightly spicy sauce, it wasn't spicy at all, it was delicious. I recommend asking first about dessert because when we went to order the Lotus cheesecake they didn't have it and there was 15 minutes left for the next one to come out.

Wanted to book a table but “they don’t do that, just come spontaneously”. Then you do come “spontaneously” to see the entire restaurant full to the brim and a line outside that goes all the way around the corner after you made a 45 minute train ride just to get there. That’s exactly why people want to book tables! What is the point? You’re just frustrating people and make sure they never even get to try your food because they are too annoyed to ever come back!

What I like about 1990 is that the selection is diverse and caters to many tastes, that you rarely have to wait long and that you can dine well here even in larger groups. In recent years, however, I have noticed that the quality has declined somewhat. I was thrilled in 2022, underwhelmed in 2024. In addition, there was a sharp increase in prices: with a full table and large portions, I spent over €30 p.p. 10/24. issued. Unfortunately, that didn't justify the mediocre taste experience. Still, I can recommend it if you want to share Asian food.

I had a great experience here as a vegan person! Tasty food, large selection of dishes and very kind staff. They don’t take reservations, but if you arrive before 6pm, you should be fine. To be fair, I'm not a vegetarian, but I'm open to good taste. The atmosphere is inviting. When the store is full, you can no longer understand your own words. The service is helpful, polite and prompt. Super! The cocktails are a rape of the taste buds. It doesn't work at all! There is a lot of debate about whether vegetarian food tastes like meat or not. But does it even have to? It can simply stand on its own and have its own taste. Visually, all the dishes were excellent. In terms of taste, only every second one was convincing. We ate 1,3,5 and 12. Sorry, but in conjunction with the cocktails, more than 2 stars for the food are not possible.

Where to start ? I'm a typical meat eater - my weakness is a good steak with some fries. So a friend of mine proposed this resaurant to me - I was curious so I decided to go out with her and have a bite. The location is very busy, very lively - young people everywhere and you can feel the pulse of life. The restaurant itself is such a nice looking place - really reminding one of the '90s in Vietnam. We got seated outside, on the narrow sidewalk - which wasn't a problem. This place is a MUST GO ! 6/5

Very cool restaurant, friendly and fast service and delicious food. There are also main courses for around €12 but the main concept is Asian tapas, small bowls that you mark on the order list. You pay around €6 per mini bowl, you need about three of them plus a portion of rice or pasta to fill you up. The food is delicious and sharing and trying all the dishes is really fun 🤩 We paid €57 for (2 people) 6 tapas plus extra rice and pasta plus beer. You can't make a reservation and when it's full there's a small line in front of the Kaden, but it's worth queuing!

We were there on a Friday at 7 p.m. Very full, very loud, reservations not requested, we were assigned a table relatively quickly. Food was quite tasty, they have small bowls for 6.50 and 5 large dishes for 11.90. Everything tasted good, but there is still a bit of room for improvement :) Desserts are very tasty. They have cocktails, fancy iced tea, beer, they only have Tiger beer and non-alcoholic Heineken or, a draft beer would be nice :) Service staff were very friendly.

Delicious vegan dishes, you don't order main courses but rather several smaller different portions. This means you can eat your way through almost the entire menu together. Everything tastes very good and fills you up.

Unfortunately, the portions have become smaller and the small bowls have become 1 euro more expensive. I had the Yogi Bowl, which always had 2 of these crunchy flake tofu sticks in it, now only one. I also think the tables are very narrow. You're basically sitting at the neighbor's table. I understand this from the perspective that as a restaurant you try to serve as many customers as possible, but it's almost uncomfortable and super loud. I still enjoy the selection and the flavors are good too. (€62 for three people)

I really wanted to love this, and it was tasty, but it did not sit well on my stomach. Too much oil, which was not good quality. Also too much sugar in the sauces. Vegan, yes, but quality & healthy?? You can do better.

Went there for the first time on a Friday evening, friendly welcome, got a seat quickly. Around 6:00 p.m. the restaurant was still very empty, but that changed within the next 30 minutes, it became fuller and also very loud. Food and drink requests are written on a piece of paper and given to the waiter. The food and drinks came very quickly. Everything was very tasty, only 2 of the bowls had the same vegetables, a lot of peppers and onions, but anyone who can read knows what's coming. Only cash payment is possible, I would like to try it again.

This place is the vegan paradise. Everythings is wonderful. Each dish brings an unforgettable explosion of flavours. The attendants are very cordial, the atmosphere is pleasant and cosy at any time of the year. It’s not a place to eat all weekend, but for a special date, a celebration or just a treat to yourself is perfect.

The two of us recently went to this restaurant and had a very nice evening. The atmosphere is traditional and cozy, you immediately feel at home. I have to particularly praise the service: the staff were extremely friendly and our food came to the table very quickly. The food tasted really good, I especially liked my bowl. The only point of criticism: there was a bit too much pumpkin in my curry and it was cut quite roughly, which spoiled the enjoyment a little. Otherwise a very successful composition! My friend was also very happy with her dish. The price of the restaurant is absolutely fair, so you can eat here more often. All in all, a nice place to eat well and feel good. We'll definitely be back!

The price-performance ratio was also absolutely great, both main courses cost €23 together. One small point of criticism: The music didn't really fit the ambience and was a bit too loud for my taste. I used to go there often and was always very enthusiastic. Now I was there for lunch and unfortunately totally disappointed. The tapas were served carelessly and, above all, the taste was no longer what it used to be. The mango salad was much too coarsely cut with too little sauce, the red curry only had 3 huge pieces of sweet potato or pumpkin in it and the tofu sticks with the raspberry sauce were not made with the soft tofu like before, but with standard tofu. Just really not good. What a shame.
