Everything is just right here. From the ambience to the drinks to the food, it's simply great. We haven't eaten so tasty and plentiful food in a long time. The prices for the food and drinks are slightly higher, but it's definitely worth the extra euro or two. If we vacation here again, we will definitely come back ☺️👍

Chilli cheese baguette with steak is highly recommended, also as a main course. As a normal man, you get full. If you're significantly more hungry than others, then maybe add some fries. My wife really got full from the baguette.

My husband and I were very disappointed with the food. Cold soup, schnitzel was definitely frozen food and was prepared in the deep fryer. My husband had schnitzel with bacon and egg, the bacon was limp and the egg was ruined. Cold food was also served here. We definitely expected more from it and were bitterly disappointed. The food is fast food quality with overpriced prices. The only positive thing was the very nice service. We won't eat there anymore.

There isn't that much choice. It's relatively nice here, modern, rustic, cozy. The table and glasses were not clean. The service was attentive and nice. The food was standard and predictable. Unfortunately partly cold. The breading of the shaped cutlets is industrial. Everything could be much nicer and better if a little more attention was paid to quality.

There is only one star for the “schnitzel”. I was there with my son last week and we both ordered schnitzel. I have never had such poor quality food in a restaurant. It was TK Industrie Schnitzel and really had nothing in common with a real schnitzel! The service wasn't really what you would like either. My son and I were still eating when we were asked for the first time if we could clear up. We still ate!!! After another 5 to 10 minutes we were asked again if we were ready. After a total of less than 45 minutes we left. We felt like we should leave quickly so new guests could come. The ambience was quite nice... But that doesn't stop it. We're definitely not coming back!

The 1894 is a rustic and very comfortably furnished restaurant in the heart of Hahnenklee. The ambience and furnishings should be extremely inviting, especially in the cold winter time. During our visit at coffee time, we ate a colorful mix of food and drinks in a small group. The prices for these are generally in the upper segment and in the end we were a bit shocked in some places (small piece of cake, small portion of ketchup, tarte flambée). The dishes were generally okay, the crispy fries stood out very positively. The bottom line is that the visit was a bit sobering, especially given the otherwise great presentation and the thoroughly modern concept.

The atmosphere and staff seemed very positive during our short stay and we took the food with us. The steak sandwich was delicious with a fair rice for 21€ and obviously freshly prepared, BUT the schnitzel for 20€ was a ready-made frozen schnitzel. I absolutely didn't expect that given THAT price and the ambience, I could have just gone to the snack bar next door and saved a lot of money...really sad.

Great event house with adventure golf, a great winter garden, kiosk and food in the open framework. Super atmospheric, cozy and furnished with a lot of love, light and warmth. The 18-hole course offers some great surprises and is a lot of fun! The Dutch owners have created a great oasis of well-being here!

The nachos were tasteless. There was a lack of salt. The service was very friendly, but a bit scattered. A negative and somewhat shocking thing to mention is that we had to pay for tap water. We ordered some with our whiskey, not out of greed but due to illness (sulfate intolerance). We paid around €12 for 4 taps of water plus our bill of €90. We've never experienced anything like this before. That was very outrageous and also a disgrace for this location.

I ate here spontaneously on a Friday evening. Everything was actually reserved, but the friendly staff made it possible for me to still dine here. The food was also very tasty.

I recently visited this restaurant and unfortunately my visit was disappointing. The drinks were overly sweet and when I asked for a correction I was told I had to order a whole glass of Prosecco to balance out the sweetness - which I found to be uncustomer friendly. The food also didn't live up to its promises. The vegetable schnitzel tasted like cheap frozen food and wasn't worth the 20 euros. The general quality of the food also left something to be desired. In addition, the hospitality was rather poor and did not contribute to a pleasant experience. Overall, unfortunately I cannot recommend this restaurant. There are certainly better options in the area.

We were in the restaurant with our dog and got a nice, quiet place in the upper area. So we were able to spend a relaxing evening there! We each had a burger and fries, a Cuba Libre and an 1864 soda. We paid ~55€, not cheap but completely okay for the quality. When eating, my partner found the patti to be too medium/raw and for me personally the lemonade was a bit too sweet. But everything tastes 1A!

A really cozy restaurant with a beautiful outdoor area. The food was very tasty and beautifully presented. Good vegetarian selection. Service very friendly. We were there for the first time and will definitely come back.

Stopped here today (September 10th, 2024) after walking around the Liebesbank path. Full of anticipation, we ordered Kaiserschmarrn and cream puffs. Plus a cappuccino for €6.20 and an Irish coffie. Unfortunately the dining experience was marred. The cappuccino was stale and collapsed. The Kaiserschmarrn was lukewarm, warmed up in the microwave and the plum jam that went with it was red-colored water. The cream puff was ok so far. Conclusion: Nice ambience, unfortunately the food can't keep up. We wouldn't go there again.

Very tasty food, we had chicken breast fillet and tagiatelle with chicken. Price/performance ok. Nice location. Very good service. Clear recommendation for a stop after Baden in the Kuttelbacher Teich or during a motorcycle tour.

Good and friendly staff. Location is also suitable for groups with dogs. We asked if takeaway food could be ordered. The process went flawlessly and on time. The food itself was great.

We stayed there twice as a group of eleven with seven children - including three small children, some with disabilities - and two large dogs. A challenge for the service that was mastered very well and humorously. Special requests were accepted and implemented without any problems. The atmosphere is very cozy, we had suitable seats in the winter garden.

There were 7 of us, there twice. The food was first class, the service was top notch and the restaurant had a lovely atmosphere. We'll definitely be back. Thank you very much for the 2 lovely evenings with you.

Rustic-modern shop We had the pleasure of dining at this rustic-modern restaurant and I can safely say it was a thoroughly positive experience. With a group of nine people of different ages, we were all more than happy with the food - a real feat! I chose a burger which was simply fantastic. The meat was cooked to a perfect medium rare and juicy, which is an absolute must for me. A small downside was the sauce, which was made with a whiskey base - perhaps a bit too much for my personal taste, but I generally eat sauce in a more minimalist way ;) It was definitely delicious and one of the best burgers in a long time. Schnitzel and currywurst were also perfectly done. The price-performance ratio is really great here! Totally justified for the quality of the food and the service we received. The waiter, who appears to be new to the team, still needed some time to get used to the system, but his passion and friendliness more than made up for it. You can tell that he is motivated and enjoys working in the store. At the end he even organized soft ice cream for us. Overall, we can only recommend this restaurant! It offers a great atmosphere, great food and dedicated service. We will definitely come back on the next motorcycle tour!

I really liked the atmosphere of this restaurant. The service was very friendly and we were seated spontaneously. On Sunday evening the selection was no longer quite as extensive, some ingredients or dishes were no longer available and delivery was expected for the next day. But I think the food will taste good, it certainly looked delicious. We only had drinks and each had an ice cream (which isn't on the menu, but if you ask you get an ice cream sundae).

We had dinner there one evening on vacation, so make sure to reserve in advance. Waitress very friendly, despite high stress. Burgers and fries were good. The children's portion was very generous.

We really enjoyed having a delicious meal outside on a sunny day. I really enjoyed the (vegan) Fallafel Bowl. Big hunger, little hunger and thirst - everything is taken care of! Very friendly and courteous service despite the large rush.

The atmosphere in this restaurant is absolutely amazing and really cozy and beautiful. We only drank a cocktail outside that had a pretty high price and a pretty high water content from those ice cubes. So we didn't think it was all that justified, but of course it's just a tourist thing. We were a little outraged that dogs were allowed into the store, even though people also ate food there. From a legal point of view, however, it is apparently completely fine and every shop owner can decide this for themselves.

If you don't know where to eat then definitely go here. We went there for dinner last night. And what can I say 5 * +++++. The restaurant is totally decorated. Despite the lack of staff, the staff were in a great mood and very attentive. Well, and the food first... It's been ages since I ate so well. All I can say is keep it up. Great praise. If we're in the area again, we'll definitely be there.

Really cozy restaurant with the option of sitting both outside and inside. We had pizza and sweet potato fries with aioli. Really delicious food and good service. NOTE: It is currently closed on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Ordered burger with fries. Bun was so hard you couldn't cut it. Definitely not worth €21. The fries, however, were very good. Nothing more than a “hmm” came from the waiter.

We were very impressed by the visual impression and were looking forward to our evening at 1894. The staff and the furnishings were really great. But: Currywurst would still have been possible. My hamburger petti was still very pink. It looked bloody because of the tomatoes. Unfortunately, the eye eats too. Unfortunately we weren't that impressed with the food.

There were two of us here. First of all: the employees were nice and friendly and the table reservation worked perfectly. When the weather was good, we also sat comfortably in the winter garden. So far everything is good. What was bad, however, was the salad. It had probably been sitting in the fridge for a day and had a very mushy consistency. We also found a piece of old bread at the bottom of the salad bowl that didn't belong there. There shouldn't be any croutons and the piece was too big and alone for that. We asked the waiter about it, but since the amount wasn't taken off the bill and no other compensation was offered, I reduced the tip accordingly. It's a shame, but I really hate doing that. Otherwise we had a burger which was good and also aioli bread without any complaints.

Really great atmosphere. Super Service. I suspect that price performance should go to upscale restaurants. Aperol 8€ and 5m further 5€. Don't know if that appeals to the masses. Burger for 20€ Sour cream instead of mayo costs extra? Hmm. Steakhouse fries very floury. Sweet potato fries are super tasty but of course they cost extra. Overall, very nice if the euro doesn't matter. If you look at the gastronomy and tourism in the Harz, I think it's brave. But Hahnenklee definitely does it better than Goslar or Clausthal Zellerfeld, at least that's my impression.

Since we waited a little longer and I was very hungry by now, I didn't let my plate go back and ate it anyway. Hopefully that was just an oversight. The prices are okay, but more in the upper segment. But overall good.

We spontaneously went there for dinner today. All the waitresses we came into contact with were very friendly and interested in a pleasant stay for everyone. We had already read in the reviews that there were vegan dishes. It is very positive that there is also something for children: vegan nuggets (also optionally with vegan mayo). According to the menu, gluten-free+vegan was difficult. The bistro was very flexible and you could order a vegan baked potato with hummus and salad. All around great service. The food was very tasty! The portions are quite large. Even after the bike tour with Biobike from Goslar, not everything fit. Getting the leftovers packed up was easy. The homemade lemonades really look and taste great. We would like to come again!

Everything has become even more expensive with a new owner. I was very disappointed with the asparagus cream soup for €8.90. Tasted more like water with too much lemon. Paying €19.90 for a hamburger with fries is beyond outrageous. Staff, as before, very nice and attentive. We're curious to see how long the new owner will stick with the prices.

What happened to us in this restaurant last weekend cannot be described in simple words. I was out with my daughter and my little grandson (1.5 years old). We were surprised by a heavy rain shower. So my daughter came along The little one sat at a bar table in the winter garden. This was open to the terrace and offered protection from the storm. I wanted to order 3 bratwursts at the kiosk. The lady denied my request (it would take too long) and directed me in a whisper to the nearby sizzling room. What kind of attitude towards your own business? So I ordered 2 cokes and a waffle for 9.40 euros. Even before we received the waffle, the lady kicked us out of the winter garden. The things we bought were only intended for consumption on the terrace. The umbrellas there offered no protection from the rain. What a terrible experience and with a small child. We will definitely not go there again
