Super delicious and freshly prepared food. We had the herring fillet with Dalat style, the steak bowl, and the pizza. Everything was delicious. The service was very friendly and accommodating. We'll be back!

The bistro/bar has a very nice mini golf course with 18 holes of varying difficulty. It was a lot of fun. We'll definitely be back.

We spontaneously stopped by today for our children's birthday party after tobogganing on the Bocksberg. We played mini golf beforehand. A very nice course. The staff was super friendly. We also spontaneously decided to stay for dinner. A very nice location with friendly staff. The menu is straightforward. The prices are market-standard for tourists. What's really cheeky, though...mayo and ketchup...for an extra €1 each. Out of a packet??? Homemade, no question, but like this...sometime is fine. We're restaurateurs ourselves. It doesn't have to be this way.

Very good food in a trendy atmosphere. The service is excellent; even when it's full, you don't have to wait long for your food. However, you should definitely make a reservation early. Definitely a highly recommended place in Hahnenklee and the surrounding area.

Great atmosphere, superb service. However, the prices are a bit too high for the food on offer, in my opinion. We also had gastrointestinal problems after the tartar sauce with the sauerfleisch. Since that was the only similar food we had that day, it's only possible by process of elimination. But it was a hot day, and when the tartar sauce is fresh, things like that happen quickly, so I'm semi-critical. Otherwise, the food was quite good, and there's mini golf right next door for the kids.

No greeting or seating at all; we organized our own tickets. We waited over 15 minutes for a server before we could order because unfortunately no one came to our table or even looked past us. The limoncello spritz was sweet and lukewarm with ice cubes, convenience fish and chips, and a tiny bag of mayo to go with it... Clearing the table after dinner? No chance, the staff kept walking past our empty plates without taking them away. Even inside, several tables were littered with empty glasses from previous guests. And the prices were really high... I also work in the catering industry and if I worked like that, my boss would rip my head off!!! What a shame, the outdoor area is a really nice place to sit and it's really cozy.

Good food at fair prices—actually, very fair prices for the location. The lemonades are super refreshing after a long hike! Great service, attentive, and very friendly—you feel genuinely welcome. But the highlight for me came after my visit: Due to an oversight, my card was charged twice. One phone call, and the issue was not only resolved, but I was also called back and informed about the progress. That was exemplary and truly exceeded my expectations, demonstrating the spirit that prevails here. I'll definitely be back on my next visit!

We went without an appointment and were approached at the door with our dog. We were given a table for two of our choice. The service staff were very courteous and attentive. The meal consisted of a currywurst and a burger—neither rocket science, but there's a lot you can do wrong. On the other hand, we were very satisfied, especially with the homemade curry sauce, which didn't taste like plain ketchup, but rather like tomatoes. The 1894 beer and the other drinks were also served quickly. It's worth mentioning that the place was maybe half full, which made the whole ambiance even more pleasant.

We even went there twice during our short vacation. It was delicious and the service was friendly. The selection and portion size were also perfect. We were able to bring our dog and always got a seat in the corner so our dog could have some peace and quiet. Overall, I highly recommend the restaurant.

Although the food was okay, in my opinion, anyone who charges 8 euros for a liter of tap water has no right to exist as a restaurant.

The location is simply fantastic, the food is delicious, and the mini golf course is cool. We've spent several wonderful parties and evenings there. The waitress, Ania, is particularly friendly, warm, and accommodating. It's a shame that the manager can't say hello; he always sits outside the door and ignores anyone.

Extremely cheeky. We ordered five ice creams for €3 and wanted a mini cone for a two-year-old. We were still charged €3 for the mini ice cream. The waitress was very unfriendly and rather annoyed that we had ordered ice cream.

Just as expected 1894 has met all expectations. The food was great, the service absolutely fine. It’s a fine restaurant to visit when you’re in Hahnenklee or in a 10 mile radius.

We had lunch at 1894 yesterday and enjoyed it so much, and the food was so delicious, that we immediately reserved another table for dinner. Super delicious, great atmosphere, and super friendly staff.

We were there today at 8:25 p.m. and just wanted a drink. Even though it's open until 9:00 p.m., we were rudely informed that they were no longer accepting orders! Unbelievable. That's a great way to scare away guests and vacationers!

Very bad attitude of the staff towards customers, many free tables are not reserved, it is raining outside, and they cannot seat you at a free table, I do not recommend

Highly recommended. A seat suddenly became available in the heated conservatory. We sat on wooden benches, but they were covered in fur. One of our dogs was also with us, and we offered him water and a treat. Our daughter has celiac disease. When we asked, the staff were extremely helpful and even asked again during the meal. Absolutely fantastic. A very successful evening. And, of course, delicious food, and plenty of it.

Very disappointing. One appetizer arrived four minutes before the drinks. It had certainly been in the kitchen for a while; the bruschetta wasn't crispy, but rather soggy. The onion soup came with the main course, herring, and it had seen better days. The pinsa wasn't really seasoned, which was also disappointing. Maybe we were just unlucky. It's very difficult to go out to eat in Hahnenklee. It feels like there aren't enough restaurants for the number of guests.

The outdoor area looked promising, so we searched for a spot and found one. The service was quick and friendly. We didn't have to wait long for our food. The soda and the food were delicious, but the plate for the penne with chicken was much too small. The price/performance ratio was okay.

The restaurant has a rustic design and a pleasant atmosphere. The waitress walked past our glasses several times but didn't take them. We had bruschetta first, which was quite tasty. The pinsa tomato mozzarella was okay; it was just a tomato sauce without any spices. The baguette rump steak chili cheese was spicy, but if you like it, it's really tasty.

We received a very friendly welcome. The staff is generally very attentive and extremely friendly. The selection of dishes, and especially the drinks, is extensive and creative, too. The drinks were very tasty. The food was okay. My cheese spaetzle was a bit bland—it lacked a bit of seasoning. The tarte flambée, on the other hand, was very tasty. Overall, the interior is extremely cozy and lovingly designed. Definitely a great place to unwind after a hike or other activities on the Bocksberg.

A truly beautiful location. But, as we all know, beauty isn't everything. As a former restaurant owner, you see food with a different eye. The food is certainly prepared for quantity. The craftsmanship is fine, but nothing that would warrant a trip there. €20 for a salad with a bit of chicken breast, with little dressing and no dip at all... I feel like it lacks love and flair. What stands out positively is the service, which is always prompt and friendly.

After a late hike to the top of the mountain, not many restaurants were open, so this restaurant was the place to go. We had Flammkuchen, rump steak baguette and a pizza pesto. Everything was delicious and the waiter with the moustache was very helpful and nice. He should get a raise 😁

We stopped for a coffee during our short stopover. The ambiance is pleasant at first glance. A trained eye can definitely spot some major flaws. The coffee was good, the cake was okay. The service left a lot to be desired, as they apparently didn't know the menu very well and didn't have the cake selection memorized. It's certainly worth a visit for a proper meal, but not for a quick snack.

In addition to the restaurant, the 1894 has a superb mini-golf course with slightly different holes than the traditional ones. Very well-maintained facilities and very friendly service. Playing the holes is simply a joy! The meal afterward is also highly recommended, and the service is very attentive and friendly, always offering good advice on the menu! We'll be back! :-)

We went to the Adventure Mini-Golf with the family and were completely thrilled! Yes, the prices are on the higher end, but the quality is also good. The children's menu is well-designed and really appealed to our two. What was particularly great was that the kids' meal arrived super quickly, which was very convenient, especially for hungry little guests. We adults had spare ribs and a burger with salad. Both were really delicious! The spare ribs were tender and well-seasoned, and even though the bone didn't fall off easily, the meat was very easy to bite into. Almost like in the USA – personally, I like things a little different, but still great. The orange salad dressing really surprised us: incredibly good, fruity, and fresh! Despite the packed house (the second reservation was already waiting at the door), the staff was super friendly, attentive, and helpful. High praise for that! Combined with the fantastic mini-golf course, it was a really nice family outing. We'll definitely be back!

It was our first time there and we were immediately impressed by the ambiance. The chairs were top-class. The service was very friendly and accommodating. When we saw the prices on the menu, we were a little surprised. The food was about 1-2 euros more than average in my opinion. Afterwards, we were more than satisfied with the taste and agreed that it was worth it. Prices are of course a matter of opinion. Everything is getting more expensive. We were so impressed that we will definitely make the 50 km journey more often. A big thank you to the entire team.

We visited this restaurant at the end of March and were lucky enough to be able to sit outside and enjoy the sunshine, not to mention that they have good local beer, even non-alcoholic for those who have to drive, and the food was delicious.

We go to Hahnenklee once every year and always come here. Today for the first time for dinner (previously always with coffee/ice cream). As always, great service, fast service and the food was a dream. Looking forward to next year.

The food was quite good - but it also had a hefty price tag - 20 euros for a veggie burger and some fries was a lot. I had reordered ketchup - but I was charged an extra euro for a small squirt in a pot. The burger is also the only real vegetarian dish. I sat outside with my dog ​​- the atmosphere is really nice - especially inside. Reservations make sense, especially on weekends - but can easily be made online.
