If I could, I would give this restaurant zero stars. My visit here was anything but pleasant, and unfortunately there isn't much positive to report. As soon as we entered the restaurant it was clear that it lacked everything that should make for a pleasant dining experience. Ambience: unkempt and run down The ambience is run down and seems anything but inviting. The interior looks like it hasn't been updated in decades - worn furniture, dirty tablecloths and a general neglect throughout the interior. Even simple cleanliness didn't seem to be a priority here: dust on the window sills and sticky surfaces raised doubts about hygienic standards. The lighting also contributed to the dreary atmosphere as it was too bright and uncomfortable. The entire ambience was not only unaesthetic, but simply seemed unkempt and loveless. Food: A disappointment across the board The food was – in plain German – just disgusting. The presentation of the dishes already foreshadowed something bad: carelessly arranged plates that made the food seem unappetizing. When I tried the first bite, my worst fears were confirmed. The food tasted bland and had a strange consistency. The ingredients didn't appear to be fresh or of high quality, and I couldn't shake the impression that they were canned or frozen. There was also an unusual and unpleasant aftertaste that suggested the oil or spices were overpowering. The temperatures of the food were also uneven, suggesting that the food wasn't even heated properly before serving. Service: Long waiting times and inattentive staff The long waiting time further worsened the overall impression. After we placed our order, it took more than 45 minutes for the food to finally be served. During this time we hardly received any attention from the service staff, who already seemed unfriendly and uninterested. Our questions were answered rather reluctantly, and a smile was apparently a rarity among the employees. It was shocking how unprofessional and indifferent the staff acted - as if we were a burden and not paying guests.

It was very nice, thank you! We celebrated my daughter's birthday and were warmly welcomed and served very friendly. Only the food is in small portions, which is also on the menu, but it was very tasty!

The catering with HBS far exceeded all of our expectations. From the first consultation to the last bite, everything was of the highest standard. The dishes were not only creative and sophisticated, but also of excellent quality and absolutely fresh. Every detail - from the stylish presentation of the dishes to the impeccable service - made our event an unforgettable experience. We were particularly impressed by the professional and warm manner of the team, who were always on hand without seeming intrusive. Our guests were thrilled and still rave about the exquisite menu. If you are looking for a first-class catering service that impresses with both taste and presentation, you have come to the right place. Wow!! We had a wonderful evening at Fortyone. The menu was designed to be varied and the kitchen implemented it perfectly under the direction of chef Thomas. All in all, the food was outstandingly delicious. The atmosphere was so excellent, not least because of the attentive service. We were deeply impressed by the extremely professional wine advice from the in-house sommelier Sascha. The ambience is extremely classy and cozy. The open kitchen allows guests to watch the kitchen team artistically prepare the courses.

Every morning I look forward to the super friendly delivery service that comes to us at Trusted Shops. The selection is great and the filled flatbreads “Hungarian” or “Bombay” are particularly recommended. All around a great price/performance ratio. Keep it up!

Best pub in Cologne... great local with wonderful, honest food... best beer on tap and lovely operators... with the charm of a London pub... worth the trip.... 🍺
