How can it be so hard to cook SIMPLE PASTA??? Hello, we ordered food from this restaurant today. The schnitzel was okay, but schnitzel tastes the same everywhere. The noodles were just disrespectful. Ordered the carbornara and broccoli pasta. Everything about it was somehow wrong, it's not clear to us how anyone could do so much wrong. The taste was strange, you didn't even know where it came from. During the meal only pitying looks and jokes about the food were exchanged. Because we didn't know whether to cry or laugh. PS: Cook yourself or order from somewhere else. Trust me, no matter how bad you think your cooking is, it's worse

The Schmelzmühle is in a very idyllic location and the ambience is lovely. The service is warm and courteous. However, the price-performance ratio is not that outstanding. A portion of venison for almost 40 € where there are only two small tranches on the plate, which aren't even... perfectly fried is just as unconvincing as a glass of soup for €8. Quality certainly has its price, but it doesn't quite add up here. It's a shame, otherwise it's really nice here.
