A pleasant stopover on the way to Hochgernhaus. Great hike for all ages. Unfortunately, the hut landlord wasn't open until the afternoon when we were on the way back. So we only stayed for a short time.
I had a Diavolo with mixed salad delivered twice, twice it was super tasty, the second time unfortunately it was only lukewarm, but it happens. Still great quality 👍
Good food and friendly service. The atmosphere is not a classic Italian and due to the location in the tennis center it is not super cozy. But this is compensated for by the quality of the food.
Because of a garlic allergy, we requested a tomato sauce without garlic, which unfortunately was so over-seasoned that we could hardly eat the pizza. We've actually had better experiences, maybe they had a different cook this time, but he probably wouldn't have wanted to eat it himself. Really a shame. Are very disappointed
Because many people here have already written that the beer is delicious, the service/owners are very nice and familiar and the food is reasonable, I'll write a little about the fantastic ambience. EVERYTHING is covered in beautiful wood. An ambience that every journeyman carpenter can only dream of. It's quite small, but doesn't seem cramped. Homely would be my definition of it. The tables and walls in the station wagon, together with the owners, look like a little journey back in time to better times. Everything here is sparkling clean. Tables, chairs and toilets are spotlessly clean. Visited once out of interest and definitely on the way back for more fun, beer & beer devilment!
We were allowed to visit the Geyerei on New Year's Eve and got the New Year's Eve menu. (Smoked duck breast on lamb's lettuce with pea cream / wild cabbage broth with pistachio meatballs / saddle of venison with port wine jus, sweet potato mash and glazed vegetables / walnut ice cream with marzipan cheese, glazed figs and white chocolate - for 59€)
Perfect, the food is worth every cent, even if the portions could be a bit larger for my taste.
If we are in the area again, we will pay the Geyerei another visit
