Gasthof Schieser is not only beautiful in Gottersdorf/Odw. Idyllically nestled in the tranquil little Gottersdorf with its open-air museum and pond, no, that's another reason to visit there regularly. We can only say the best about the great service (great that this still exists in our area), location and the menu. The guest room is furnished with a lot of love and our own products from the distillery and jam kitchen etc. The entrance area is very inviting in summer (beer garden) and winter (Christmas market). When the dining room is full, it gets a little loud, depending on the group, very loud, but not always. The cuisine is great, the one star less is a matter of taste.

Incredibly original decorated for every season. Clocky and cozy. The food was ok so far, there was just too much stuff in the sauce for me that wasn't listed... The service is subject to strong fluctuations. Sometimes it's great, but unfortunately it can also be quite unfriendly and rude.

Great food! Very friendly, especially to children. Hearty, good food at a great price! The onion schnitzel is really amazing! The cordon bleu was also very good, as was the rump steak. The children also enjoyed the pizza. Highly recommended!

In the TV chef Rosin's programs it was said again and again that there were too many dishes on the menu that had nothing to do with each other and with the style/attitude and furnishings... Yeah. For this reason, I have never ordered or eaten at the Taj Mahal. But! You don't know until you try it. Well, now I know that I don't want to order anything there anymore. There were burgers. The rolls were not warmed/grilled/toasted and are accordingly limp/brittle, sauce from a can, the lettuce seems fresh, a 2cm thick onion ring (not a slice!), 1 slice of pickled cucumber and a tomato end round off the classic burger. The Mexico burger only has a different sauce and jalapenos instead of cucumber, very peppery. Since the 2 burger and fries menu costs only slightly more than 1 burger and fries, we thought this was a good idea. But the top burger was tilted due to lack of space and everything spilled into the pick-up box. Fries became cold and soggy after a very short time even though the box was opened immediately after collection. And we were there in time for the specified pickup time. No napkins received. Ciao 20€ for that. Too bad.

After reading the last review I was skeptical about going in, but I did it anyway and it was worth it. The food was super tasty, there wasn't a long wait to eat, everything was top notch. 1 star deducted because of old-fashioned furnishings and dishes on average 1-2 euros more expensive.
