We go to Bad Buchau for a week every year. A great area for hiking - for example in the Wackelwald - or simply unwinding - on the great footbridge out into the Federsee. Well, you can also take care of your physical well-being, in Bad Buchau I recommend the cozy Gasthaus zum Hecht (located on the way from the Federseesteg to the city center). The innkeepers are friendly, there is good music and the food, whether meat or fish, tastes excellent and is served beautifully. We especially enjoy fish dishes there, Croatian-spicy and served with fries that are just right crispy and never dripping with fat. The salads have never disappointed us either. We have enjoyed coming here for years and will be back in 2025. If the sky doesn't fall on our heads first. 🤗😉

Spacious restaurant with good quality. We got a seat every time, even though the restaurant was always busy.

I wasn't expecting such quality from this old village inn. I've certainly eaten many seafood pizzas, but this one sets a standard that's second to none, and all for €15. Absolutely top-notch – everything fresh – and topped off with homemade limoncello. The price includes bruschetta, espresso, and drinks.
