We had dinner with someone at Kerwan in Saarbrücken and ordered several different dishes, hoping for authentic Lebanese cuisine. Unfortunately, we were seriously disappointed: Hardly anything was seasoned, let alone aromatic in any way - there was no trace of typical Lebanese aromas. The food seemed bland and tasteless. All the plates remained almost untouched – that says it all. When we wanted to pay (bill: €69.20), the waitress asked if everything was OK. We honestly told her that we really didn't like the food. The reaction was: “Everyone else likes it.” No understanding, no apology, no discount – nothing. When asked whether this was the normal way to deal with criticism, the answer was again: “Everyone else likes it.” We paid the full amount even though almost nothing was eaten.
