We had lunch at Ristorante Vivarium and unfortunately I had a different experience than the many top reviews here would suggest. The atmosphere is very pleasant, as described, but the meal took quite a long time and the salads, which were explicitly NOT ordered as starters, still came first - with the consequence that everyone else had to wait EVEN longer for their main courses. I was disappointed with the pizza. For the normal price of a handmade pizza, I got one that I've eaten better from the freezer. The floor also gave the impression that it was frozen goods. The taste is okay, but definitely not worth the price. To save our honor, one can also say that the pasta and meat dishes were okay - but they also had their price. We probably won't go there again.

Soooo good! 🥰Simply always fresh & delicious! I can only recommend a visit! :-) For me it is and remains one of the best restaurants in Kaufungen! I've been there many times and have never had anything to complain about!

Very nice Italian restaurant In summer you can sit outside nicely

We eat there regularly. So every few months, but for several years. The Melissa pizza has always been delicious. Price/performance is still right today. Now I ordered the pork chops there with chanterelles and, because I'm currently on a ketogenic diet, with vegetables. What can I say disaster...! Frozen vegetables were briefly warmed up and the slices were actually inedible... some of the chanterelles were still cold and rubbery. I choked down the food because my friends like to go there. This morning I have a stomach ache and feel sick to my stomach. 🤢

We order salmon pasta and no salmon at all. Also waiting 40 min for it. In starter no bread provided but to other tables. Starter Ordered but still nothingto accompany sauce. Entrance to smoking area next to table and even waitress leaving it open to horrible smell. At end they excuse themselves with restaurant too busy. Being allergic to cigarette. No thanks. 🙂‍↔️

Four of us ate there yesterday and had pinsa, salad and pasta. We enjoyed it very much, the service was friendly and attentive. The new operators are very friendly and even introduced themselves to us personally. We'll be back 👍

We were there today for my grandma's birthday, and everything was absolutely perfect. The service was excellent; I also had spaghetti aglio e olio upon request. Everyone was very satisfied.

Nice to sit on. Prices are fair and appropriate. Antipasti is served. Unfortunately, the schnitzel Bolognese wasn't that great. Sauce seemed undercooked and meat could have been half as thick, but pounded through.

Okay, we only had a mixture of starters but some of them were quite unimaginative and in our opinion the price was not appropriate. The service was friendly and the atmosphere in the dining room was partly with attention to detail.
