My girlfriend and I try out the Greek restaurants. Yesterday we were at Syrtaki in Aschersleben. Our first impression was: clean, comfortable benches, friendly staff, decoration just the typical uniform look. The menu was extensive, as were the prices as usual for Greeks. So we ordered. The salad came quickly and was fresh. Unfortunately the dressing was out of the bucket. We had specially ordered tzatziki, which came with bread. Unfortunately, the tzatziki wasn't homemade either and tasted like it came from a discount store. I'm happy when the food I ordered comes quickly, but not even 5 minutes after ordering, which makes me suspicious. The portions were huge and we couldn't handle it. Unfortunately the fries weren't cooked properly. The chicken was good. My bestie still had Cretan potatoes, which unfortunately didn't taste like Cretan potatoes at all. Sweet and very salty, we just couldn't eat them. Unfortunately, the food gave us stomach aches and increased trips to the toilet, which always happens when too many processed foods are used. Our bodies are good sensors as to whether something is freshly prepared. Another word about the toilets. The toilet seats weren't secured properly and there was no paper to dry your hands with. I let a service person know and nothing has changed. There are better Greeks in this price segment. We won't eat here again.
