A very good kitchen! The service, the food, everything was perfect! Of course, C’est La Vie is a high-priced restaurant, but the bottom line is that the price is justified for what you get. The furnishings seem a little austere/simple, but you sit well and we still liked it. Very friendly and attentive staff.

The quality and taste of the food and drinks are very good. The crème brûlée in particular is sensational. The service can be viewed in two parts, as the two operations were fundamentally different. The person responsible for the drinks was super nice, very relaxed and personable. Her colleague who was in charge of the food was the complete opposite. Not only did she have to tell each guest several times that it was "crammed full" (and the surrounding tables were already amused by it) and that they should please hurry up with ordering the food, she was totally hectic, stressed and inattentive. My plate for the mussel shells was forgotten, she jostled me several times on the chair and table and the question as to whether everything was/was ok never came up. She also placed the food table directly behind my chair with the hissed note “don’t move”. It's a shame that one person's behavior greatly diminished the evening and the enjoyment on which so much emphasis was placed.
