During a short stay in Trier we went to the chambers two evenings in a row. The welcome was warm and the service was courteous but discreet in the background and not intrusive. On the first evening our food was excellent. While we were paying we started talking and were told that a new card would be available from the next day. After a brief explanation of the dishes, we decided to make a new reservation straight away and were not disappointed the next evening. It was excellent again. Ich kenne das Le GALOPIN jetzt schon 10 Jahre.War mehrere Male zu verschiedenen Anlässen dort zum Essen.In kleiner Runde oder zum 60.Geburtstag mit 25 Leuten.Es war immer gut.Aber gestern Abend war es grauenhaft.Die Dorade war tot zerkocht oder zerspantet mit einer Tomatenpaste zu gekleistert ungenießbar.Der Spinat ohne Geschmack und muffig.Das Huhn war ähnlich ohne Geschmack und lieblos.Dann die Wartezeit,1.15 Std.bis die Vorspeise kam und weitere Std.bis zum Hauptgang.Meiner Meinung ein Unding.Die Bedinung nicht besonders freundlich.Zum guten Schuss war der Koch noch im Lokal und war an jedem Tisch persönlich nur unseren hat er ausgespart,warum wohl?Bei einer Rechnung von 310.-€ für 6 Pers.erwarte ich beim gehen wenigstens ein auf Wiedersehen ,aber Fehlanzeige.Wir werden hier nie mehr essen.Es ist Schade wie man im laufe der Jahre so schlecht werden kann.

On Saturday we had reservations for the 12 of us with two small children for all you can eat from 6 p.m. We were able to order 4 tarte flambées per round and we had to wait up to 20 minutes between rounds. That was very annoying. Upon request, we were able to order one more tarte flambée per round, but even that wasn't enough. It was also very warm and the air was just stagnant. At around 10 p.m. we were finally all full and then paid. The tarte flambée selection was great as always, there is something for everyone.

I had the 4 cheese pizza, was overwhelmed.... gladly again... tarte flambée also amazing.....

I just had a bowl of tomato soup and salad and both were absolutely superb!…probably best tomato soup I’ve ever tasted and salad was a bit unusual but also delicious. Service was also excellent. Prices were reasonable considering the quality of the food and service. Most highly recommended!

Wir hatten uns für das 5 Gänge Menü entschieden. Jeder Gang war ein Gedicht. Die Weinempfehlung zu jedem Gang lies ebenfalls absolut nichts zu wünschen übrig. Ein perfekter Abend den wir so schnell nicht vergessen werden
