Die besten Restaurants mit Fondue restaurant Essen in Heppenheim (Bergstraße)

We were really looking forward to a cozy evening for four with cheese fondue, but unfortunately we were disappointed. For €28 per person (just the fondue with bread) we expected a little more, both in terms of taste and quantity. The cheese fondue was served in a pot, the contents of which looked quite sparse, even though the menu stated 250 g of cheese per person. Of course we couldn't weigh it, but the impression was rather sobering. In terms of taste, the fondue was strongly dominated by the bread. This was dark, flavorful and cut into large pieces, which almost masked the delicate cheese taste. We found it difficult to really enjoy the cheese itself as the bread overpowered everything else. The service also left a lot to be desired. The service was friendly, but it took a long time for the first drinks and later dessert to arrive, even though the restaurant was neither overly busy nor obviously understaffed. In addition, we rarely asked whether we would like to order anything else, which should actually be a given on a fondue evening. All in all, our first visit did not live up to the expectations we had from a restaurant. Both the food and the service disappointed us. We're not the kind of people who are quick to criticize, but unfortunately we won't be visiting the restaurant again. Our recommendation would be that the restaurant should test the switch to white bread and give the staff an incentive to occasionally ask the guests whether they still need drinks, etc. It could also be interesting to check the quantities of cheese again and the speed of service, especially when ordering the first drink. With these little things, at least four or five stars should be easily attainable. I'm excited to see how the reviews here develop and would be very happy if it were worth trying again soon.
