The ice cream at Gelato49 is really delicious - the Bacio and Pistachio flavors in particular are among my absolute favorites. You can taste the quality and freshness in every scoop. What bothers me, however, is the development of the last few years: prices have risen - I can understand that, especially with rising costs. But I find the fact that the portions have become smaller at the same time disappointing and, to be honest, not justified. Less ice cream for more money - that just doesn't add up for me. Apart from that, the staff is friendly and in a good mood, the location is super central and there are plenty of parking spaces around. There are around ten seats outside, ideal for nice days - although it can get full quickly. Despite criticism of the portion size, I'm happy to come back, simply because the ice cream tastes great.

There was always a guy with glasses working there who sometimes said nasty things to the customers. To me, when I ate an ice cream there with my sister and he complained that she had paid and with the Germans it was so different and would make the woman pay, or he complained to my little nephew, who was a bit fuller at the time and was told not to devour everything at once. If he still works there, I will continue to avoid this shop because of this insolence.

Their rolled ice cream is a must try. It was my first time trying this type of ice cream and I was impressed by how light it was. I would highly recommend it if you are in Berlin and want a dessert.

Extremely disgusting... what's more, we smoke right in front of the shop; if you just walked around the corner, it wouldn't be so obvious...
