The Gasthaus Zum goldenen Lamm in Königsbach-Stein is a real insider tip. We made a reservation spontaneously and managed to get a place despite the huge crowds - that speaks for the team's good organization and flexibility. I chose the onion roast with spaetzle, which came with a side salad. I would particularly like to highlight the incredibly delicious salad dressing – it was simply a dream! The Rostbraten (English) was on point: tender, juicy and with a delicious layer of onions that rounded off the dish perfectly. The spaetzle was also homemade and really good! The salad was fresh and varied, and I would have liked to take the sauce home with me. The atmosphere in the restaurant was very pleasant and cozy. It was well attended, which speaks for its popularity, and yet we received friendly and attentive service. I found it particularly nice that the bosses get involved themselves and take personal care of the guests - that makes the experience even more personal. The menu is varied and offers a great selection of traditional and international dishes. You can tell that emphasis is placed on fresh, local ingredients, which is also reflected in the taste of the food. For me, the Golden Lamb is an absolute recommendation. If you want to enjoy regional cuisine at a high level in a relaxed atmosphere, this is the right place for you.
