Die besten Restaurants mit Deutsches restaurant Essen in Ellwangen (Jagst)

I've known the place since I was a child. A great family business. Typical Swabian dishes and snacks are offered. Grandma cooks. The children serve. Small but nice. Nice beer garden with playground. Delicious cake on Sundays. Very nice to stop off on bike tours or after a long walk in the forest.

I'm excited to go there because of other reviews. Unfortunately it took me several attempts because it was closed even during the opening times mentioned on the website. This was found out through a note on the door. As a starter, the Maultaschen soup was delicious, as expected. I used a sauce with the schnitzel. Unfortunately, the schnitzel and fries were too salty and not consistent everywhere. I didn't notice it straight away because of the sauce. Shame about the food. As I learned, I wasn't the only one who had a chef in love. There was no drink on the house or discount, even though I couldn't finish the last third. It was also a shame that there was no lighting outside and you were always sitting in the dark. I believe that this traditional cuisine must be preserved, as in Ellwangen in particular you can mainly find foreign offerings. Unfortunately the relationship is no longer correct. That's why I hope even more that yesterday was just a breakdown that could have been handled differently. However, the staff served very friendly and nice.
