On the way to Normandy I discovered: friendly welcome from the boss, nice contact with the cook. Very nice, attentive employees, super delicious food. Thank you, we'll be happy to come back.

Still current: May 14, 2025. Our favorite place for a delicious chicken meal. Schnitzel and typical small dishes are also highly recommended. A good beer and, especially in summer, a pleasant outdoor seating area invite you to stop by. It's especially nice to stop by by bike. Tip: Call ahead to reserve a table and order the chicken to reduce waiting times.

We ordered 3 pizzas here today and found out about the prices from Lieferando beforehand, there were 2 sizes to choose from 32cm and 41cm, we decided on the 32cm version and decided to call them directly and pick up the pizzas because that would definitely be cheaper?! There was a very nice man on the phone who asked me directly about the size of the pizzas. I asked him, even though I already knew how big the big pizza was and how small the small pizza was. After he answered, I told him of course that I would like the 32cm version, to which he replied "very much" and that the pizza maker would call me when the pizzas were ready to be picked up. 10 minutes later the call came and I drove off with my son. When I got there, the nice woman in the restaurant wanted 48€ from me, which seemed very expensive to me because my wife had previously said that it would cost something like 38€. When I asked, I was told that I definitely still had an old price list and that the purchase prices had increased and that the correct prices were on Lieferando, which I told her. We also found out more there, but she said that those were the prices. I didn't feel like discussing it, so I paid and took a current price list with me. At home, after eating, I immediately realized that they had sold me the large 41 cm pizza. Unfortunately, as a customer, I can't do more than ask and order accordingly. The taste of the pizza was good, OK but not a highlight, so I can recommend the pizza in terms of taste, but if I have the choice I'll of course get it straight from our favorite pizza maker a few streets away when he gets back from vacation. However, based on my experience, I have to rate the service as poor because I didn't get what I wanted and despite asking, they didn't come up with the idea that the higher price was due to the wrong size of the pizza. I also thought that at least you could get the pizza a little cheaper if you called directly and picked it up, but unfortunately nothing like that here either. Then it's better to order via Lieferando and have it delivered then you pay for what you ordered in advance and, I hope, you get it and the whole thing is delivered.

We happened to eat at the Alte Post yesterday and it was worth it. Everything was very tasty, the meat and vegetables were cooked to perfection, the French fries seemed to be hand-cut from fresh potatoes. Service was attentive and very friendly. We will come back and highly recommend it!!!

Unfortunately disappointing. We were there yesterday with a group of 14 people. We had reserved a table almost two months ago. When we made the reservation, we weren't informed that we would only be given a small, scaled-down special menu due to the number of people. It should be noted that we were the only customers until we left the restaurant. Since there were two vegetarians with us, our choice was limited to one potato. The service was unfriendly and snippy, the beer in the first course was too thin, and it tasted like numb feet. In conclusion, we won't be back!!

Gyro plate cold meat, too small plate overloaded, coleslaw over salted. Complaint ignored. Argument from the service: we've been doing this for a long time so we can do without them😡

If someone is traveling through Europe and is planning to stay on the border of Germany and Belgium, this is a great hotel located away from the city but access is very easy. The host is very nice and helpful. The rooms are clean and cozy. The shower is hot and has great pressure. There is also a small pub in the building and they have a kitchen where they serve delicious home-cooked meals. A friendly place for motorcyclists as I was allowed to bring my motorbike into the back garden. I definitely recommend this place and I will definitely stay there again.

Unfortunately, cooking only takes place in announced exceptions.

In addition to normal snacks, there are delicious home-cooked meals every day, just like mom makes.
