Lemlem is a small restaurant divided into two areas. There's a bar and reception at the front entrance, and a dining area at the back. The restaurant is very clean, and the walls are decorated with Ethiopian motifs. I found the tablecloth and the wobbly chairs a bit annoying.
Lemlem is run solely by its owner. She is a friendly woman with a strong personality who takes great care to explain her dishes in detail and present them attractively. Nevertheless, a visit to Lemlem doesn't feel like a restaurant visit, but rather like eating at your mother's, thanks to the owner's direct and honest manner.
The food is very delicious. All dishes are freshly prepared. The portions are quite large and filling. The Ethiopian coffee is especially worth trying. The prices are on the higher end.
Unfortunately, the restaurant is currently suffering from a typically German, seemingly endless construction site, which has forced it into a difficult-to-access dead end. This makes Lemlem all the more dependent on the support of its guests.
Lemlem is definitely an experience you should try at least once. Despite a few minor flaws, Lemlem impresses with its authentic food, unique atmosphere, and the owner's personal touch. Anyone with a taste for Ethiopian cuisine should definitely try it.
Unfortunately, I forgot to take a photo of the food. But I'll do that at the next opportunity.
We had a birthday buffet at Loris. Very different guests. Young and old, vegans and meat eaters, allergy sufferers and diabetics, fast food lovers and gourmets. Everyone was completely thrilled. From the food, service and ambience. I would like to give 10 stars.
There has been delicious food there for decades! You should try the “special sauce”! The service is always friendly and the food is ready for pick up quickly!
The restaurant is idyllically located and has a lovely, peaceful indoor and outdoor area. The asparagus for lunch was excellent, good Westphalian cuisine! Thank you for the wonderful service!
An absolute childhood memory. It's an integral part of eating there at least once when I'm home. The pizza is great. Nice and fluffy and one of the last really good sheet pan pizzas in the region. Absolute favorite: ham.
