We had a great darts evening. Gladly more often. We could just paint the walls.

Super delicious food. Had schnitzel, pared chicken breast and a vegetable curry, everything tasted excellent. The menu could probably do with one or two vegetarian dishes. Service was very good, authentic and friendly. The ambience is totally ok, typical village economy but actually very cozy. A small point of criticism is the acoustics. Some quiet background music would improve the atmosphere, especially when there are few other guests and it is therefore very quiet. We'll definitely be happy to come back when we're in the area again. Oh yes, the prices on the website are no longer current, everything became a few euros more expensive. Still super fair prices with reasonable portions :)

We arrived for communion the following day. When we were looking for a place for dinner today, we were disappointedly turned away at the first place because it was only possible to get a table with a reservation. So I googled it and came across the “Schützenhaus” nearby. A really rustic location, the look took you back to the 70s, including a music box. But everything is tip top. There is a large flat screen showing the Bundesliga. Every decoration indicates a Eintracht Frankfurt fan club, which is probably a “regular guest” here. The innkeepers are very friendly and attentive, you feel comfortable. There is one drawback: There is only schnitzel to choose from: cream/or onion schnitzel with fries and salad. However, all of this is super tasty. So if you don't need fancy food and like to eat schnitzel, this is a great place for you.

The staff is very friendly and attentive. The food selection is good, from starters (soup, cured feta cheese, salads, bruschetta) to main courses (pizza, pasta, steaks & schnitzel) to dessert, everything is available, even a wine list. The food can also be picked up. Our meal (Madagascar schnitzel, lasagna, and various pizzas) was absolutely delicious. Unfortunately, you couldn't pay with debit/credit cards, and the women's restrooms are clean, but very, very cramped. The woman who came in after me (she was very slim) also thought so. To close the door, you had to stand next to the toilet bowl.

ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE! Actually, 0 stars. I ordered two pizzas and was told they could take 15-20 minutes – no problem. Since I was waiting there and noticed that several doner kebabs, lahmacun, and pizzas were being sent out, I politely asked after almost 30 minutes when my order would be ready. The owner then quickly became aggressive towards me and started shouting. He went around the corner, got the finished (in retrospect, cold) pizzas, made me pay, and threw me out. NEVER AGAIN!

Unfortunately I can't write much about it because we stupidly drove to the motorhome port opposite. That was a very big mistake
