Pizzeria & Restaurante Calabria in Gedern

We ordered pizza and salad to pick up, everything was great! Pizza and salad was very good, service was friendly, it was perfect!

When ordering takeaway food, I regrettably discovered that the quality of the food delivered did not meet expectations. The dish's presentation and taste had significant deficiencies; In particular, the aroma was very watery and overall not very appealing. Although self-collection wasn't a problem for me, it didn't detract from my disappointment with the food. Immediately after consumption, severe abdominal discomfort occurred that radiated to the back, accompanied by a general feeling of discomfort in the stomach area - an extremely unpleasant sensation. In addition, the prices for the product offered are considered excessive. In summary, this was a disappointing experience that leads me to refrain from ordering from this establishment in the future

The successful firing after a concert. We found Calabria shortly before the kitchen closed. We still got very, very tasty pizzas and were served very nicely. We'd love to come back - but sooner.

The food is wonderful. Authentically Italian and perfectly coordinated. You have the feeling of being in Italy. The service is also excellent and warm. A great added value in and for Gedern. Keep it up!

Service was very nice, but the boss sometimes left something to be desired

We were there with a group of 9 people and so we had different dishes and of course different tastes at the table. Everyone found the food to be very tasty, only the garlic dip as a starter could have been a little more substantial, but I don't want to rate that as a really negative thing. The waitresses, two of them, were nice and polite, but also countered in a funny way with a casual comment. For me, the ambience was compromised due to the location right on the main street. This is also used a lot by bikers and as bikers myself, I know that you can misplace your DB killer or forget it at home. But what gets in the way when you want to talk something in a relaxed atmosphere. If everything still has a nice charm when you sit outside, it seems more sober inside and you could definitely make it a little more romantic. But what's more important is that everything I saw was very clean and that includes the toilets, even if they seem very "dated". My personal conclusion: Very tasty food and cleanliness make me at least happy to come back there and that's why I'm happy to recommend the Pizzeria & Restaurante Calabria.

Very nice team I was able to eat in the restaurant with my husband & our 2 miniature schnauzers, thank you again for that ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️the salad was very delicious, plentiful and very fresh & the baguette slices were very crispy & fresh all in all perfect 👌 🤩

We drove past today by chance and since we had two dogs with us, we naturally asked if they could come in. There was another dog on the terrace and we went inside, it was better because it was air conditioned. We ate deliciously. I don't understand the negative reviews. Everything was perfect. Don't over-salt anything, we eat a low-salt diet, so I can make a judgment call. The innkeepers are very hospitable.

Unfortunately the pizza dough is a ready-made dough. Pizza Premium with Parma ham, mozzarella and ruccola tasted OK. However, the dough was too hard and a bit tasteless. The Calabria salad was OK, but nothing special. In our opinion, price/performance doesn't fit. You can expect more. The younger waitress is nice and accommodating. We don't need to come here for dinner again.

The service was very friendly and attentive. The food came quickly and very hot. However, the pizzas are not classic Italian and were unfortunately very salty.

We had a delicious meal, the service was fast, but the restaurant is located on a busy main road. It is not the quietest place to eat, but the delicious food did not taste any less. You can only pay in cash, no bank card.

Great food but unfortunately no delivery service

Service friendly and attentive. Food very salty. The pizza is made from ready-made blanks with tomato sauce and cheese and is topped depending on the pizza ordered. Dough is very hard, the edge is actually impossible to eat because it is much too hard.

Ein sehr schönes, kleines Restaurant, Essen sehr lecker, hat einen Augenblick gedauert dafür frisch und lecker, mal ehrlich, ich gehe ja nicht in ein Restaurant um so schnell zu essen wie bei FastFood Läden!? Sehr freundliches Personal, Preise angemessen, auch das Ambiente innen ist schön hergerichtet, Aussenplätze leider nah der Strasse deshalb habe ich einen Stern beim Ambiente abgezogen! Kommen gerne wieder!!!

Flüsse aus Sahne, Puten auf Pasta, fliegende pizza/Keks ... aber alles in allem passabel, wenn man keine großen Erwartungen hat ... aber seien wir uns darüber im Klaren, dass es sehr wenig italienische Küche gibt. Sehr freundliches Personal, nette Atmosphäre, ok Preis ...

Ein schönes kleines Italienisches Restaurant mit sehr guten Pastagerichten

Wir waren zu Gast am See zum Campen und haben unser Abendessen bei Calabria abgeholt. Trotz des schlechten Empfangs am See oben war die Dame am Telefon geduldig und freundlich. Das Essen war der Hammer, wir waren alle mehr als zufrieden. Preislich geht es auch voll in Ordnung dafür. Als wir die Pizzen abgeholt haben, haben wir die ausgestellten Steinpilze bewundert und sind auch mit einer sehr netten Dame ins Gespräch gekommen. Kann mir nicht vorstellen, dass es dort einen schlechten Service für einkehrende Gäste gibt!

From arrival to having drinks on our table took 30-35 minutes. Food orders were only taken AFTER the drinks were served. Food arrived for our larger size group all at once after over 1 hour. From arriving to leaving took just over 2 hours, even though we only ate one course each. - It is even mentioned at the start of the menu that service here is slow. Portion sizes are very decent. We ate in relative darkness due to a light bulb being faulty above our table. We were told that it would be seen to by the owner; it never was. Pizza is not typical flatbread, but thicker and quite dense. I don't think the mozarella on my pizza was genuine. It had quite a rubbery thick texture. Although I have to add it was cooked and prepared very well, and tasted good. Someone in our group ordered the lasagne, and could not finish due to it being too salty. Female toilet had no soap. There were no vegan options, but they did accept menu change requests. One request was carried out very well. Another request failed spectacularly.

Der klassische Dorf Italiener. Essen ok Ambiente ok Service ok, nicht mehr und nicht weniger. Bei Pizza scheiden sich ja oft die Geister. Die Preise sind allerdings für das Niveau ein wenig zu hoch.

Sehr, sehr gutes Essen und der hausgemachte Eistee ist der Hammer!!! ❤️ Die Bedienung war ein bisschen verpeilt, aber sie war recht jung und wahrscheinlich noch ein bisschen unerfahren. Hat dies aber durch ihre Freundlichkeit super wett gemacht!!! Komme gerne wieder, wenn es mich nochmal nach Gedern verschlägt.

Wir saßen draußen und konnten die Restsonne genießen. Das Essen war sehr lecker und der Service ausgesprochen freundlich.

Etwas lange Wartezeit für erste Bestellung nach öffnen. Die Pizza kann weniger Salz vertragen. Ansonsten sehr lecker und Boden knackig.

Ein netter, kleiner Italiener, jedenfalls was Essen & Ambiente anbelangt. Der Service hingegen ist manchmal weniger nett, weshalb es als Kunde besser sein könnte neben einem freundlichen Lächeln auf dem Gesicht eine gehörige Portion 'Schlagfertigkeit' vorzuhalten, entsprechend dem bekannten deutschen Märchen mit der Zauberformel "Knüppel, aus dem Sack"! Notabene, das Bruschetta empfehle ich ausdrücklichst.

Prima Pizza, ich bin hier noch nie entäuscht worden!!

Essen sehr lecker, leider hohe Preise. Chefin sehr unfreundlich, deshalb ungern im Restaurant. Der Koch mega freundlich, aber leider ausschließlich in der Küche.

Im Rahmen einer mehrtägigen Radtour kam ich abends in dieses Lokal. Die Servicekraft war noch etwas unbeholfen, weil vermutlich noch neu. Aber kein Problem, der Chef hat geholfen und gute Empfehlungen für Wein und Essen gegeben. Toll, so gefällt mir das. Essen war sehr gut, auch alles frisch, ich habe die Steinpilze noch im Ruhezustand gesehen! Ein Stern Abzug gibt's nur, weil es im Lokal so stark nach Küche gerochen hat, dass ich im Hotelzimmer erst einmal duschen musste, um mich wieder wohlzufühlen. Da wäre vll eine neue Entlüftung für die Küche angebracht. Aber wie gesagt: das schmälert nicht die Qualität der Speisen und die gute Beratung des Inhabers!

Super eten. Duurt wat langer eer het klaar is, maar is echt super lekker. Herlich gegessen, qualität ist super. 5 sternen eigentlich zu wenig.
