Ms. Kaufmann provided very friendly and attentive service, even though she had to work alone and was busy. The ambience was deliberately kept simple and clear, but still seemed cozy. The Mediterranean food was delicious, everything was perfectly prepared and attractively presented. But I didn't understand why a restaurant that showcases a top Franconian winery (Wirsching) doesn't cook regionally and clearly seasonally. That would have convinced me more. Trout instead of redfish! Venison instead of veal, country pork instead of lamb, pearl barley risotto with sorrel instead of rice with salted lemon would be suggestions. And a few more open wines would have been nice. In my opinion, there also has to be a GG in there by the glass.

We have been guests at the 99er for years. The demands on the quality of the products and service have remained the same. The plates are always prepared with attention to detail. Highly recommended.
