My friend had reserved a table for 12 people to celebrate her birthday. When we (two guests) arrived a little early, we were unfortunately not seated at the reserved table, as the restaurant apparently would have preferred to free up a table in our row for other guests. After some discussion with the waiter, we were reluctantly allowed to sit at the reserved table. The service was unaccommodating, and the waiter insisted that we call the birthday girl to clarify exactly when the other guests would be arriving and how many there would be in total – which I found extremely inappropriate.
The food was good.
After the meal, the birthday girl was kindly given a free dessert, but otherwise the service was disappointing. None of the other 11 guests were asked if they would like dessert or another drink. Overall, the service staff gave a stressed – and at times even annoyed – impression.
For a restaurant hosting a special event like a birthday, I definitely expect more professionalism and hospitality. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case in this instance.
For me, this is the best Asian restaurant in Ansbach, with exquisite cuisine and first-class service. You're always greeted politely and courteously, and you can choose from a wide selection of dishes. The vegetarian dishes are also delicious, and the vegetables are always fresh and cooked just right. The tea they offer is also delicious, and I find the various appetizers particularly delicious; all of them are highly recommended. The ambiance is appealing, and we enjoy coming here time and time again and have never been disappointed. I recommend making a reservation, as otherwise the restaurant might be fully booked (and it has happened to us). Enjoy your meal. 👍😃
First the positives, the food was good, not outstanding but good and fresh. Ambience is ok, a bit cramped and small, nothing special. What I found unacceptable is the following: My choice of main course was a Quattro Stagioni. My request for a change to the order was simply to swap the salami in one of the quarters for a spicy version. Not in addition, just replacing it. When the bill came, I was amazed that this service was charged at three euros. Especially since the covering is declared differently in the additional covering list. When I asked, the only answer I got was that he had to calculate it that way. It's a shame the service employee probably realized that I was just passing through and not a potential new regular customer and just wanted to cash in. Luckily there are other restaurants in and around Ansbach.
About the menu, food and drinks:
Unfortunately only oat milk is the only vegan milk option and unfortunately there is no vegan option for waffles or crepes on the menu.
If you're hardcore borderline lactose intolerant, like me, and can't tolerate oat milk/are allergic to it, you'll probably only be able to drink tea here or enjoy your coffee black. Or order one of the few “sparkling” ones if you’re not a fan of wine for breakfast or brunch. There is no real lunch menu here, spicy options of waffles/crêpes are not enough for lunch in our opinion. But we only came for brunch.
We had the waffles with salmon from the fixed menu and the menu with 4 fried eggs with salad and bacon from the seasonal menu - which unfortunately comes without bread/baguette and only has a few 1cm cubes of dried croissants as decoration on top, so to speak. So if you want to dip into the egg yolk, you unfortunately have to do it in your head. Unfortunately, the fried eggs were all completely different, one was perfectly "runny", the other was rather firmer, but unfortunately I couldn't finish it because there was just way too much lettuce on it and without even a slice of baguette or bread, something was missing and the taste didn't hit the palate. The rather sweet and chewy balsamic dressing doesn't really match the taste of the mixed Knorr herb salad dressing
(*smiling uncomfortably).
The waffles with salmon had the same salad on the side. As on all the other plates that were brought out. It's actually a shame, it's a little careless, like in a restaurant, every side salad looks and tastes the same. For dipping on the extra plate there was a lot of creamy (not vegan) horseradish for the little salmon and for whatever reason, cranberry jam? You really have to like the constellation, but you probably don't have to understand it.
The menu from the season menu seems to be relatively new, the waiter couldn't tell you whether the fried eggs were included and which waffles/crepes were included. So it's just 4 eggs, a few thin slices of bacon and a lot of lettuce with Knorr-Schschnitt herbs, dried croissants on top and carelessly drawn in lines with balsamic dressing.
Conclusion: the food was ok, but nothing more. Had by far better brunches, waffles and crepes. We tried it, but we don't have to do it again. Maybe in the summer for the sweet version.
Employees seem to have fun with each other, but making crepes and serving food with their hair down is less friendly. Service was also ok. You do your job, but we didn't get a smile. Neither when coming nor when leaving, not even saying goodbye, not even bringing food, there was a very monotonous “have a good appetite”. You absolutely can't keep up with the service a few hundred meters further in the city center at Glöckle. Even their side salad tastes much better.
Atmosphere and furnishings: quantity instead of quality, faux wood, faux leather and run-of-the-mill decorations and plastic flowers. There's also Amazon Cheap Stuff and Daudenbacher Garden World, which are a little more expensive in terms of price.
Completely crazy facility in the middle of an old town. Very friendly and personal from the first second. Many of the dishes use dough as a basic ingredient and from there great variable dishes can be conjured up in all directions. However, there are also many dishes without dough. Homemade lemonades (had saffron sharbat), huge selection of desserts. There is no reason not to come here. Everything in a nutshell.
The Rosenbad in Ansbach is a real insider tip and is a real delight! The food is of excellent quality - every dish we tried was fresh, perfectly flavored and prepared with a lot of love. The selection of drinks also leaves nothing to be desired and impresses with its variety and quality.
No matter what time of year you come here, the Rosehardt always invites you to linger with its pleasant and tasteful furnishings. In winter the cozy atmosphere creates a pleasant warmth, while in summer the lightness of the furnishings fits the season perfectly.
It is the ideal place for meeting friends, family or even for a relaxed meal for two. You immediately feel welcome and can enjoy your time here to the fullest. A big compliment to the entire team – we’ll definitely be happy to come back!
Very nice and committed team. After a long drive, we arrived after 9 p.m., at least after the kitchen had closed. Nevertheless, we were still offered a selection of dishes, which we gratefully accepted. The portions were large. Both the drinks and the food were very low compared to Dresden prices.
A lovely little restaurant in Ansbach's old town. The food and atmosphere were simply fantastic. I'd love to go back! And the quality is excellent for the price.
On my most recent visit, the minced lamb skewers left a lot to be desired. While they used to be juicy and generously portioned, they now appear dry, lacking in flavor, and served cold. The food may be acceptable by Ansbach standards, but anyone who has already enjoyed authentic Arabic cuisine or compares it to Nuremberg will quickly realize that this offering doesn't come close to matching it.
The service also leaves a mixed impression. A noticeable delay in serving food further dampens the overall experience. Overall, the impression remains that potential is being wasted here – both in terms of culinary skills and customer service.
Standen vor verschlossener Tür, obwohl laut Öffnungszeiten und Internet geöffnet ist. Sehr ärgerlich!
Warum Öffnungszeiten im Internet angeben, wenn man sie nicht aktualisiert?
Doner and Dürum taste very tasty. In our opinion, the best kebab taste in Ansbach. Eating on site is difficult with several 4 people, at least in bad weather, as there are only small tables with 2 chairs each against the wall. But that is no reason to make a deduction here. 5 stars
Unfortunately we were very disappointed. Didn't get the salad that I ordered. Food wasn't really convincing. When we wanted to order ice cream, the waitress stood in front of us and rolled her eyes. I call it customer-friendly something else
