I was always happy except last week when we had to wait about 80-90 minutes for food to arrive and only a salad came. We asked three times, then we were told that we had been forgotten and when the salad was served to me in front of the neighboring table, our collar burst and after we said that we didn't want any more, the salad came quickly and politely without eggplant Oven. In short, we didn't want to and even though we didn't eat anything, all the food was taken away. Definitely a no go. We won't be able to get there anymore. It's always in our bones, I've never experienced such impudence.

The pizza was okay but nothing special. The spaghetti carbonara, which according to the menu is originally made with egg, parmesan and bacon, was a disappointment! I got egg noodles with a minimal hint of bacon, which wasn't guanciale either! That had nothing to do with an original carbonara! At least the Marsala was free then. I don't have to go there again.

This is just about the restaurant: When I heard about the intention to completely renovate the good old Rebstockstube, I was shocked. Should one of the most authentic and rustic restaurants in Baden really fall victim to the modernization madness? It didn't get that bad because the visual layout remained the same - despite some drastic changes. In terms of quality, there is an increasing development. The cooking is more varied and modern, sometimes to the point. The lunch menu is highly commendable, although it is occasionally a bit simpler, but overall it is quick and at fair prices. The lunch menu is supplemented by an attractive selection from the standard offering and stands out very positively in the Freiburg area.

Worst pulpo carpaccio and beef carpaccio I have ever eaten!! Carpaccio meat was gray and to cover the color of the meat was completely covered with grated parmesan cheese. Pulpo carpaccio was not a carpaccio but a pulpo slush on the plate carelessly prepared and what's more, the 2 dishes were both Over €15 would have been an absolute disgrace for this quality. If it had been good the price would have been appropriate but NO!! pasta Frutti de mare you had to look for the seafood VERY SAD and also carelessly prepared and fart dry pizza much too pale and tasted of nothing pasta filled with burrata HA HA!! The pasta was a bit overcooked on the plate and the stuck burrata was cold next to it - joke of the year 🤣🤣🤣 The only thing that was good was the spaghetti Frutti de mare in white wine sauce, which were delicious 😋 Service was friendly but they didn't care about our complaints at all When paying they deducted at least 2 of the bad dishes from the bill but NO apology or anything at all. I gave a €5 tip Even though they didn't deserve it and the junior boss wasn't at all interested in everything that happened!! and something like zero interest and no interest in our criticism at all, so kind of arrogant!! Once and NEVER AGAIN!! PS I have been fully trained as a chef since 1989 and I still work as a chef with heart and soul and pride!!!
