We go to Bad Buchau for a week every year. A great area for hiking - for example in the Wackelwald - or simply unwinding - on the great footbridge out into the Federsee. Well, you can also take care of your physical well-being, in Bad Buchau I recommend the cozy Gasthaus zum Hecht (located on the way from the Federseesteg to the city center). The innkeepers are friendly, there is good music and the food, whether meat or fish, tastes excellent and is served beautifully. We especially enjoy fish dishes there, Croatian-spicy and served with fries that are just right crispy and never dripping with fat. The salads have never disappointed us either. We have enjoyed coming here for years and will be back in 2025. If the sky doesn't fall on our heads first. 🤗😉

We are thrilled with both the service and the food. What's very pleasant at the beginning is that you get a beeper to let you know when you've chosen the food. Then came a lavishly filled salad plate, bruschetta was super tasty and the pizza was excellent, exactly to our taste. We'd love to come back. P.S.: Usual prices, not overpriced Very nice service!
