We have now been in the Onion Tower for the second year and were once again very satisfied with our stay. Beautiful rooms and very nice, accommodating hosts. We are already looking forward to the next visit!

We moved into the family room for two nights. This consists of a small hallway, two rooms and a bathroom. The hallway and bathroom connect both rooms with each other. The bathroom has no ventilation, but has a small window. One room has two single beds, the other room has a double bed on a gallery. In the room with the double bed there is also a small table with two chairs. In the bathroom there is a shower, toilet and sink. Hairdryer is also available. The rooms are small. We recommend a travel bag with top access rather than half-open bags or suitcases. There are also no cupboards to unpack the bags. We didn't miss this because we only stayed in the rooms for two nights and were out and about during the day. We didn't miss a TV either. Isn't vacation time a time to spend time together? The rooms and bathroom were spotlessly tidy and clean. The children (four and six) had breakfast for free, for adults it cost €20 per person. There is no breakfast buffet, but breakfast is served on the table. The hotel is too small and there are not enough guests who eat breakfast, so a buffet is not worthwhile here. Individual requests will be taken into account if this is announced in good time. There was bread, rolls, sausage, cheese, tomatoes, cucumber, breakfast eggs, sausages, jam, honey. It is very nicely prepared and we were full. However, we find €20 to be quite expensive and yes, food, electricity and water have become more expensive. The ratio of effort to the number of guests eating breakfast probably plays a role here. We were the only guests who had breakfast at this property. There were toys and puzzles for the children to pass the time while the parents were able to continue eating breakfast in peace. Great! Unfortunately, this only happens very, very rarely. The hostess mentioned a lounge for guests that was still under construction. This certainly further enhances the property. We thank you for the pleasant stay!

The most extraordinary and gentle souls of the town, they will feed you well in the breakfast! Gorgeous experience and I am very confident to recommend it to anyone.

Wir haben mal wieder, mit insgesamt 5 Erwachsenen, ein Wochenende in Nieukerk verbracht. Jedes Mal übernachten wir im Zwiebelturm und es ist immer wieder schön. Jedes Zimmer ist individuell eingerichtet und man hat alles was man braucht. Auch das Frühstück ist reichhaltig und lecker. Hervorzuheben ist, vieles ist in Bio oder Fairtradequaltät. Selbst im Badezimmer, das vorhandene Duschgel, Seife und Desinfektionsspray. Ein großes Lob auch an die Besitzer, man gibt sich sehr viel Mühe und wird immer freundlich empfangen. Auch wird auf Wünsche eingegangen, so durften wir zB schon ehr unsere Zimmer belegen. Wir kommen immer wieder gerne hier hin.

Sehr ordentliche saubere Zimmer und Bäder. Freundlich eingerichtet und gemütlich. Frühstück mal kein Buffet ... finde ich eigentlich auch gut, denn ich esse die normalen Dinge wie Wurst, Käse, Ei, Marmelade zum Frühstück. Und dies stand incl. Brötchen alles wunderbar auf dem Frühstückstisch wie zuhause ... kein dauerndes hin und her laufen von mir und meinen Freunden.

Zimmer sehr sauber, freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal. Das Frühstück war auch ausreichend und nett angerichtet. Für ein Wochenendtrip super.

Wir haben relativ spontan hier eine Nacht im Familienzimmer verbracht. Alles war sehr sauber. Wir mussten leider sehr früh in der Nacht wieder auschecken, aber das war kein Problem. Der Service war sehr nett. Werde ich mir auf jeden Fall für den nächsten Besuch in der Gegend merken.

In einer gemütlichen Atmosphäre und mit einem tollen Service bietet der Zwiebelturm eine außergewöhnliche Überraschung: Original böhmisches Essen! Ob Knödel- oder Fleischgerichte, Vor- oder Nachspeisen, alle Gerichte auf der ausgefallenen Karte sind frisch zubereitet und sehr lecker. Dabei schmeckt man sofort, dass das Essen nicht nur mit Liebe gekocht sondern vor allem mit frischen Zutaten hergestellt wurde. Fazit: Der Zwiebelturm ist immer einen Besuch wert!

Was soll ich sagen. Schon lange hatten wir uns vorgenommen, mal im Restaurant Zwiebelturm zu essen, sieht die Location doch einladend aus. Leider hatten wir kaum eine Speiseauswahl und die (böhmischen) Speisen, die bestellt werden konnten waren von minderer Qualität (in diesem Falle aber überhaupt nicht schlimm) und auch von der Quantität sehr übersichtlich. Die Preise allerdings waren für dieses Angebot doch überdurchschnittlich hoch. Wir werden dort nicht mehr essen.

Knödel, deftige Fleischgerichte und sorgsam ausgesuchte Weine locken hier von der tschechisch-deutschen Speisekarte. Köstliche Spinatknödel und hervorragender tschechischer Wein machen sich gut inmitten der sorgsam vom tschechischen Küchenchef zusammengestellten Speisekarte aus Bio-Zutaten. Die familiäre Atmosphäre und das liebevoll eingerichtete Ambiente machen das Erlebnis perfekt.

Tuvimos una experiencia maravillosa con Zwiebelturm. Habíamos estado conduciendo todo el día desde Brighton, estábamos cansados y era tarde (9:00). Cuando conducimos en Alemania nos suelen utilizar una combinación de "Links + Rechts" (el libro) y reserva. com, pero esta noche decidimos llamar en vez de utilizar la reserva. com (por el momento). Y tuvimos la suerte de una habitación. Llegamos en buen tiempo y conocimos a una pareja sonriente y acogedor (la casera y señor) diciéndonos que nos dieron la bienvenida. Después de instalar en una habitación muy agradable, tuvimos una gran cena en frente del restaurante. Obviamente que los propietarios para que lo disfrutamos para sus clientes, y nos impresionó particularmente la manera todo estaba completamente diseñado -e. g., toallas de tocador y servilletas tenían el mismo logotipo bordado - una gran experiencia. Damos nuestro saludos para el lugar.

Ein wirklich tolles Restaurant. Super nette Inhaber und ein ausgezeichneter Service! Das Essen war fantastisch und wird ausschließlich mit frischen Zutaten zubereitet. Die Inhaber legen großen wert auf die Qualität der Zutaten und das schmeckt man! Wir waren begeistert! Die große Auswahl an Bioweinen ist bemerkenswert. Wir kommen aufjedenfall wieder und freuen uns drauf! Wir empfehlen es aufjedenfall weiter!! Danke für den tollen Abend!!

Excellent stay, very nice atmosphere and very friendly owners who will do their best to accomodate you in everthing you want. Very clean room and bathroom. Mind you, no TV present, but that's an explicit choice of the owners. We could live with that. Why would you go on a holiday and spent your time watching TV? The restaurant was closed during our stay, but the photo's of the plates looked very promising. We had breakfast in the morning which was complete and of high standard.

We arrived on a Monday so the restaurant was closed. The room and bathroom were extremely clean, like new. Very comfortable bed. Squeaky floor. Basic breakfast. Extremely helpful and friendly, English speaking and knowledgable lady owner. Expensive compared to other B&B's in Germany, but it might just be the area.
