Nice old-fashioned restaurant. The food was very tasty and the staff was very friendly. Unfortunately there was no vegetarian dish on the Christmas menu. There should be a little more choice.

We celebrated our Christmas party at Urig and looking back, we weren't very happy with the service. The food was good overall, there was one complaint in our group regarding the Spanish pepper pot dish. The sirloin steak and the rump steak were tough, one of them was so tough that it was left alone. We told the lady from service about this and she wanted to report this to the chef. When we said goodbye and paid, we asked what the chef meant and the chef's reaction, which was passed on by the lady from the service, led to this negative rating under the "Service" section, which of course also influenced the overall rating. The chef said, "It's not his fault if there's tough meat." Well, the question is, who is responsible for the quality of the goods? At the end, the chef releases the goods so that they can be served to the guest. It wasn't a big problem for us, something like that can happen, but we found it outrageous that people reacted like that. Should the guest be responsible for ordering the product? I would also like to point out that the product is one of the most expensive on the entire menu, so the guest can expect something and if something doesn't fit, there should be a professional reaction from the kitchen from the person responsible. The €3.50 discount that the service “kindly” gave us is more of an insult. On the subject of ambience, it's a large restaurant with a nice rustic decor, we liked it overall. The food in general was also good and the selection was sufficient. But as a vegetarian you shouldn't expect too much. Since the map is available online, there should be little confusion. We would like to visit the Urig more often, but the reaction at the end destroyed the entire positive impression. I hope the Urig team reads the review and sensitizes themselves. Service is not just what the employees do at the table, but also what happens in the kitchen and at the bar. PS: The chef himself wasn't seen once, the lady from the service was able to pass everything on to us.

We were there for the first time yesterday. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The food and drinks were really tasty and inexpensive compared to Münster. When we visit our friends from Wachtendonk again, we will definitely enjoy the delicious food there again.

Restaurant Urig is without a doubt my absolute favorite restaurant in the area. As soon as you enter the restaurant you immediately feel welcome. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, and the rustic ambience makes you feel at home. The menu offers an excellent selection of regional and seasonal dishes that are always freshly prepared. I am particularly impressed by the meat dishes, which are always grilled to perfection and taste simply fantastic. The quality of the ingredients is really outstanding and you can tell that the cooking here is done with great attention to detail. But the vegetarian dishes are also a real treat and show that the restaurant has something to offer for every taste. Another plus point is the friendly and attentive service. The staff are always helpful and always have a smile on their faces. No matter whether you need a recommendation or want a small change to the dish - the team is always flexible and responds to the guests' wishes. You can feel that passion is put into the work here. The price-performance ratio is also absolutely right. The portions are generous and the prices are more than fair for the quality of the food. The outdoor area is also particularly beautiful and invites you to linger in the summer. When the weather is good, you can eat outdoors and enjoy the rural surroundings. All in all, the Urig restaurant is a real insider tip in the Aldekerk region. It combines great food, a cozy atmosphere and excellent service. For me it is the perfect place to spend a nice evening - whether with family, friends or as a couple. I am happy every time I eat there and can highly recommend it to everyone.

The employees are friendly, cheerful and quick. The dining room is inviting and the wood makes it really "rustic". The food was good and had a good price-performance ratio. What is particularly noteworthy is that as a large group (approx. 5 tables) we received our food shortly after ordering and also Pretty much at the same time, what could be improved is that there was only one employee at the card payment terminal and there was a queue. Overall, it was a very nice evening.

A beautiful restaurant in a tranquil Kerken with a large outdoor area. Have reserved in advance. Locally very very busy for a Monday. Disappointed 😞 €3.20 for warm beer... not to be enjoyed..no response despite complaints? The food was okay...recommended by the house="€28 for a piece of cold cuts of beef with 3 chanterelles and 6 pieces of 1/2 potatoes...it tasted good but it wasn't a revelation. Carelessly prepared Veal liver very good and tasty. Salad at the forefront... honey mustard dressing was sparsely distributed, the salad was fresh. Service very friendly, but poor response after the beer complaints? "But someone was there...something still needs to be adjusted." As a guest, I don't care.

We had dinner at a restaurant with friends yesterday and it was pretty disappointing. The price-performance ratio doesn't fit at all. I had a dish for 30€ with different types of meat. For the price it was absolutely not enough. It looked like it was leftover pieces. The meat wasn't seasoned at all and the rice wasn't even cooked yet. The grill plate for 2 people for €50 was also a joke. There wasn't even enough on the plate for 2 people, we really promised ourselves something better after the great review at my local your local. Absolutely not recommended although the staff is super attentive and extremely friendly.

We were guests here for the second time in two months with around 20 people. This time without a reservation out of "emergency". The "small" hall was spontaneously prepared for us. It is a top address. The landlady and her staff are very nice and attentive. The restaurant is very nice. And the food is fantastic. It was very delicious. Everyone went home excited. Everything is just right here. Waiting times are normal. We can recommend this hospitable restaurant and will be happy to come back.

I'm just reading that "Urig" appears on a TV show. My assessment of this: A year ago as part of a 70th birthday, I ordered a salmon fillet with grilled vegetables. I have never!!! Being served such burnt vegetables as here in this restaurant. Inedible. No comment from staff.

A good restaurant with a menu that was too big for us. But the quality of the food is good. Just “Balkan” cuisine with lots of meat dishes, all well and tastefully prepared. Salad with great dressing and you are asked in advance which dressing is included with the side salad. The ambience is tasteful and you wouldn't suspect it from the outside. It's definitely very comfortable on the terrace in the summer. We were there on a Saturday evening and I would advise everyone to reserve a table, but it was fully booked. We were with a large group and everyone received their food almost at the same time. Chapeau If we ever feel like eating meat again, we'll definitely go back.

We came without a reservation and luckily got a table. The people who came after us without a reservation couldn't get a table. The food came very quickly, the portions were very generous and the food was very tasty. The only thing that was a bit annoying was that we were asked 6 times during the meal if everything was OK. Once or twice would have been enough. If we are in the area again we will definitely stop there again. But then with a reservation to be sure to get a table again.

Als der Kellner dann aber auch noch unfreundlich auf die teils englischsprachigen Gäste reagierte, war klar, dass dieses Restaurant eine schlechte Rezension bekommen würde. Das Ambiente war ok, sonst leider nicht viel. Es gab noch mehr Pannen, aber das soll an dieser Stelle reichen, um diesen einen Stern zurechtfertigen. Edit: lassen schlechte Bewertungen durch den Google Support löschen. Das hat bei mir leider nicht geklappt, ich lasse mich von "entspricht nicht [...] den rechtlichen Vorgaben" nicht einschüchtern ;)

Hallo ihr Lieben, ich war zum ersten Mal dort essen und kann nichts negatives sagen. Das Essen war sehr gut und schmeckte hervorragend. Ein Gaumenschmaus. Der Service war sehr aufmerksam. Das Ambiente gemütlich. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.
