Good value for money. The food tasted good, and the staff was friendly.

It's highly recommended. The service was very nice and friendly, and we ate a lot and well. 👍 👍 👍 The only problem is that there's very little parking on site... Unfortunately.

In summary, our visit to the Goldene Kugel was okay. The staff was attentive. The food itself wasn't that great. The fried potatoes were completely mushy and greasy, and the Leberkäse (meatloaf) was left in the pan too long. The prices are rather cheap. My child said the restrooms smelled bad. I didn't use the restroom, so I can't comment on that. Unfortunately, we wouldn't go back again.

Well, German food is terrible in general, but here I found it to be the worst from the few places I've visited. How can you mess up something so simple as meat and potatoes so badly? Your neighbors (Poland, Czechia, and Austria) are masters at it, and they're just a short drive from here. Also, they don't accept US credit cards (because they don't want to pay higher fees) so had to scramble for cash, as if it's the 1980s. I've traveled all over Europe and this had never happened before. At least the waiter was nice.

Not worth a star. The apple juice served was moldy, and the waiter didn't deserve the job title!

A restaurant where locals also dine. The food was solid, and the service very friendly. It was very quiet, probably due to the construction work in front of the building. The outside seating was comfortable. It's rather quaint inside. If you like the charm of an old pub, this is the place to be. :)

We eat at a lot of restaurants and I haven't had to give a one star in a while. First, I will say that I'm happy that we were able to get a table and outside to accommodate the fact that we have a dog. That's about where the good stops. We ordered drinks, which I can't believe my husband ordered water for €6 but he did. Moving on. We ordered food based on allergens in our family. Nothing we ordered had mushrooms. One of the meals that we ordered, the steak and fries, did not come to our table. Instead another dish came which in fact had mushrooms. I ended up eating it which left my daughter to eat my meal. We were less than satisfied with the taste of the meal. I don't want to be too harsh because I know this is someone's livelihood cooking. My main problem arose when we tried to check out. They have a card reader machine, but the guy said he doesn't accept phone credit card pay. I told him ok and handed him my credit card. He looked at it and said he doesn't accept Visa or Mastercard. What restaurant these days doesn't accept Visa or Mastercard??? I ended up having to pay with cash which I didn't want to do. What would he have done if I didn't have cash??? It sucks to have this kind of experience with our very first German restaurant we've ever eaten at. We're traumatized for eating out now here in Germany.

We ate here for the first time today. It was delicious and the portions were generous. It's good, home-style cooking and the service is great. We'd love to come back on our next vacation.

We once again went on vacation for a week in our hometown of Pirna. At least one visit to the ball has been part of this for years. Good, inexpensive food and the pleasant atmosphere are the reason for this. We have already had class reunions in the Golden Ball twice. We hope that this restaurant will be around for a long time. Home-style cooking, just like your mother or grandmother used to make. Huge portions at reasonable prices. We were absolutely thrilled with the food. The service was fantastic, friendly, and unpretentious. We'll definitely be back.

We were here for lunch for the second time at Christmas and will continue this tradition in 2025. It is very familiar and tastes very good.

Yes. Good German home cooking. Great, tasted great. The prices are all still reasonable.

Score for terrible service, unfortunately we couldn't try the food. The gentleman was arrogant and hostile from the very entrance. As soon as we entered he said we couldn't eat here and then left. After a short time, he came back and took us to a dark room without windows, even though there were only empty tables in the main room. We managed to order only drinks, because his behavior while taking the order did not encourage us to stay there longer.

I have never experienced such rude staff before.

The gentleman who served us was very arrogant and unfriendly towards us. We left before we tried anything. This is definitely not a place for a quiet dinner and relaxation.

Unfriendly staff, they work as if they were a punishment. After drinking the drink, we left without ordering food. You can't pay by card even though the terminal is on the counter. We were moved to some dark room. Even though there was a lot of space in the room. Give a wide berth!

A solid restaurant, the food is freshly prepared and tastes good too. The staff is friendly. The atmosphere is a bit rustic but very solid.

We celebrated our class reunion in the restaurant on April 20, 2024. Unfortunately, something went wrong in terms of scheduling and we arrived at the ball earlier. The weather wasn't very pleasant either. Normally the restaurant was still closed when Mr. Berger Sr. suddenly came. around the corner and unlocked the door for us. So we were able to get into the warmth. He saw us coming and thought something had gone wrong with the previous appointment. A short time later the rest of the staff arrived. Thank you very much again. It was a lovely afternoon/evening.

We were passing through and chose this restaurant based on the very good reviews. We were served in a really friendly manner, they even talked to us and took their time. The food was excellent and the drinks didn't cost a fortune. When it came to the food, we noticed that there was something for both large and small budgets, perfect! Cleanliness: everything sparkling clean, very pleasant. And there is a bowling alley. All in all, this restaurant is highly recommended.

Ein hervorragendes Speiselokal. Gut bürgerlich, sehr freundliche Inhaber und super, zuvorkommender Service. Wir waren mit 36 Personen Vorort und können nur positives berichten. Ein ideales Restaurant für Familien und allen sonstigen Feiern. Das Selbstbedienungsbuffet hatte alles was Feinschmecker erwarten. Wir können nicht nur 5 Sterne sondern 10 Sterne vergeben. Wir haben am 10.06.23 die Jugendweihe unserer Enkelin gefeiert. Die Bedienung sowie das Essen waren hervorragend. Diese Gaststätte können wir nur weiterempfehlen. Ein Dankeschön an das Personal.

(Geburtstagsfeier 15 Personen) Gute herzhafte Küche. Die Gerichte werden alle gleichzeitig serviert, somit können alle zusammen essen. Das Ambiente ist eher rustikal. Die Kegelbahnen (2) machen jung wie "alt" viel Spaß. Der Service scheint hin und wieder etwas gestresst.

Wir waren hier um mit dem Junior Geburtstag zu feiern. Uns hat die Kegelbahn her gelockt, weil wir den Kids ein besonderes Erlebnis bieten wollten. Das Essen war gut, allen hat es geschmeckt. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Die Preise völlig in Ordnung, eher günstig. Wir kommen sicher mal wieder.

Wir haben unsere Goldene Hochzeit in der Goldenen Kugel gefeiert . Es war alles bestens vorbereitet (Ausgestaltung,Gesteck frisch gesteckt). Kuchen selbst gebacken(super). Abendbrot wurde von allen Gästen gelobt. Der Koch sollte unbedingt gehalten werden. Die Jugend konnte 2mal auf der guten Kegelbahn Kegeln. Wir haben es nicht bereut dort zu feiern. DANKE Danke auch an die Senioren die später die Bedienung übernahmen.

Freundliches Personal und eine gute Küche. Sehr empfehlenswert.

Unscheinbares Restaurant mit dem Charme der 80iger. Aber sehr gute Hausmannskost. Roulade und Bratkartoffeln waren sehr lecker. Gemüsebeilagen frisch und selbst gemacht. Essen heiß serviert. Personal sehr nett. Probiert es aus!

Wir hatten die Rinderroulade und die Schweinemedaillons (per Abholung). Es hat uns sehr gut geschmeckt, dass Essen war gut verpackt und dadurch auch zu Hause noch warm ( bis auf die Kroketten). Das Fleisch war in beiden Fällen zart und geschmackvoll. Die Knödel waren selbst gemacht und wenn das beim Rotkohl auch noch no geschieht, gibt es 5 Sterne. Wir würden dort nochmal essen.

Prima Speisenangebot. Das Essen schmeckt. Service wie bei Muttern. Man möchte dazu gehören und das Preis- und Leistungsverhältnis stimmt ebenfalls. Auch kann man dort gepflegt auf zwei Bahnen noch richtig Kegeln gehen. Wir können daher die Goldene Kugel mehr als empfehlen.

War im Ort fremd und googelte nach einem Restaurant. Ich war super überrascht wie toll das Essen war. Auch der Wirt war sehr höflich.

Ein fairer Preis mit ausreichender Portion. Sehr guter Geschmack und das auch bei den Vorspeisen. Bedienung ist sehr freundlich. Restaurant sauber und hat einen guten Stil.

War vor kurzem dort anlässlich eines Klassentreffens der Pesta Copitz. Nett eingerichtete Gaststätte, sauber & ordentlich. Freundliche und schnelle Bedienung, gutes, frisches und preiswertes Essen aus der DEUTSCHEN KÜCHE.

In nur 5 Minuten Entfernung steht gut bürgerliche Küche zur Verfügung. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und das Essen ist sehr zu empfehlen.

Muy familiar pequeño (lo que pensamos) Restaurante con servicio inmaculado. La comida es típicamente alemán. Buen menú para niños. El personal es amable. A pesar de el hecho, que el personal no habla inglés - hacen todo lo mejor de ellos para ayudar a elegir el plato con. El pescado estaba muy fresco y sabroso. Palitos de pescado para un niño también eran buenas. Los medallones de cerdo también eran muy deliciosos. El restaurante se encuentra bastante lejos del centro de Pirna, pero para esta parte de la ciudad es uno de los mejores restaurantes.

Eine Gaststätte, die vor allen auf regionale Spezialitäten setzt, sowohl bei den Speisen, als auch bei den Getränken. Wir hatten das Glück an einen Tag zu Gast zu sein, als es Mutzbraten gab ( eine Spezialität aus Westsachsen und Ostthüringen ), der dazugehörige Kartoffelsalat war selbstgemacht und schmeckte ausgezeichnet. Bier und Wein kommen ebenfalls aus der Gegend. Die Bedienung war sehr nett, freundlich und schnell. Die Preise liegen im unteren Bereich, tut aber der Qualität der angebotenen Speisen und Getränke keinen Abbruch. Die Gaststätte liegt etwas außerhalb der Innenstadt, aber für Nutzer der Pension 13 oder 19 sind es nur 5 Minuten Fußweg. Für Liebhaber regionaler Küche und Getränke unbedingt zu empfehlen.
