Very beautifully located with a wonderful view. Service was prompt and friendly. Regarding the food: Absolutely excellent value for money. The dishes were very generous, so I didn't finish everything, which is saying something. It seems to me that the chef doesn't want anyone to leave hungry. My wife also really enjoyed it and enjoyed it. Definitely worth a visit.

Expensive but good. The ambiance is almost unbeatable. But where do all these reviews about friendly waiters come from!? What we experienced today was a disaster!!! The most confusing thing: not once in the two hours did we see a waiter even briefly look friendly or grin!

We were very satisfied. The food, a salad, and Hamburg-style pan-fried fish, were truly delicious. The highlight of the salad: it came with two dressings, which you could add as desired. Also included was garlic bread and a roll (see photos). On the way to the restroom, you pass well-maintained aquariums. Another experience. We highly recommend it. We were there again in 2025. New photos from the aquarium: Holstein-style herring and a large salad plate with fried salmon strips. Really large portions. Highly recommended.

We went there for the breakfast buffet. The selection was okay, but the older waiter was completely unacceptable. Sitting in the guest (smoking) area and charging guests the most expensive option when ordering drinks (coffee) without asking is completely unacceptable.

The restaurant, located directly on the beach, offers plenty of space for guests both indoors and outdoors. The terrace is beautifully situated with a sea view, but it could use a few more shady spots. We went there three times during our vacation because the food was truly delicious. We highly recommend the fish dishes, the dune stew, and the schnitzel. The food is plentiful and more than fills you up. The quality and quantity justify the slightly higher price. The staff are very courteous and quick.

We went there as a family today. The ambiance is unbeatable, but the food didn't impress us. The portions are very large, but we felt the flavor was lacking. For example, the fried mushrooms tasted very watery and were fried without any onions or seasoning. This was unfortunately a consistent feature throughout the dishes. Even though the portions are very generous, the prices are simply too high.

Well, it was okay. The staff was very friendly, and the long beachfront location was perfect. However, the food wasn't great and was far too expensive compared to other restaurants in Grömitz.

The portions are generous. The salad dressing was really good. Everything was freshly prepared. The staff was very attentive and friendly. That's what a restaurant should be. Thank you. We'll be happy to come again.

I was on vacation in Grömitz with my wife and our grandson from July 6-13, 2025. We had dinner at this restaurant four times that week. We were impressed by the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff and the excellent cuisine. We highly recommend the "Düne."

German cuisine, but what delicious food! The portions were truly huge, the atmosphere was absolutely fantastic, and the schnitzel was so delicious, with very juicy meat! We'll be back 😍.

We spontaneously went there on a Sunday with 10 people. The ambiance by the sea is lovely, and everything outside is very cozy. Without asking, tables were immediately put together so we could all sit together. Our server was very attentive and polite, always smiling. I love that kind of thing. We'll be back.

We regularly visit this restaurant during our short breaks. The dinner is truly delicious and the value for money is excellent. We particularly appreciated the extremely attentive service. Unfussy, attentive, and courteous. This year we tried the breakfast once, wow!!! Two types of smoked salmon, scrambled eggs, proper juice, small warm rolls, croissants, jams, cold cuts, a wide selection of cheeses, and various salads... We returned home happy after our annual short break. Keep up the good work!!! We'll be back next year!

Delicious food and, on weekends, a rich breakfast buffet with a view of the Baltic Sea.

The farmer's breakfast was good, but the currywurst with fries was unfortunately not good. The sausage was soggy without curry powder, and there was plenty of ready-made curry ketchup on it (Hela's...). Homemade is sooo easy and much tastier. The fries, unfortunately, weren't crispy, and they were a bit soggy. The atmosphere right on the Baltic Sea is great.

Great and quiet location! Clean atmosphere, very friendly and fast service. If you want to escape the hustle and bustle of Grömitz's pedestrian zone, about 15 minutes north along the dike, this is the place to be! Great panorama from the front row and a view of Grömitz ;-))

Great location right by the sea with very good food and service.

An average restaurant, conveniently located right on the beach. We stopped there because of the many positive reviews. Time seems to have stood still, except for the prices. A completely ordinary plate of salad and "ready-made sauce" (likely), and plaice in an egg shell. The fish tasted watery, and the salad was nothing special. I don't quite understand the previous reviews, or maybe we were just unlucky. The staff is friendly. We didn't go there again.

I was there yesterday for the breakfast buffet. It's a very nice place with a unique view of the sea. I really enjoyed the buffet. I especially liked the different types of small rolls, brown bread, and white bread. There was a fantastic selection of salads, cold cuts, salmon and cheese, and finally, various desserts and fruit. The service was very friendly. I was completely satisfied. It certainly won't be my last time there.

We went to the Zur Düne restaurant on recommendation. Our fish dishes were delicious, and the staff was very attentive. All of this was in a wonderful setting right on the Baltic Sea beach. We'd be happy to go back.

That was another delight. The asparagus with Holsteiner Katenschinken (smoked ham) is highly recommended.

In my opinion, the portions were far too large, and the orange slice on every dish was unnecessary. It simply imparted too much flavor, and my salad tasted only of orange. The fried potatoes were okay (without bacon, if requested). The ambiance was rather sober, but I liked the aquariums. It's certainly nice to sit outside if the weather is nice. This review is, of course, purely subjective. I won't be going back.

Unfortunately very disappointed… after the recessions we were hoping for a nice evening with good food. However, we were very disappointed because it was mainly frozen food that was only nicely presented.

Unfortunately only frozen food. Tomato soup tasted like a tetra pack. The mixed vegetables and the fish tasted very much like frozen food. Turkey was just emotionlessly dry. Diluted the mustard sauce from the fish. The fried potatoes are also more industrial than fresh. We were very irritated by the previous 4.4 stars. The criticism wasn't really addressed either.

The drinks were a bit expensive, but it's Grömitz and right on the water

A classic. The restaurant has been around for a long time, and so has iceberg salad with sweet yogurt sauce. Always a Holland tomato with it 🍅unfortunately the food wasn't good the last few times. Service is really professional. The view from the annex is of course also good.

A very good restaurant outside of Grömitz. Below the restaurant there are beach chairs directly on the Baltic Sea. Prices in the upper segment. Easy to reach by car and bike. Plenty of parking spaces available.

New Year's Eve, excellent food a la card. It went very quickly despite the restaurant being fully booked. We don't know any other way. Definitely coming back

This beach kitchen combines the best cuisine with an incomparable atmosphere directly on the Baltic Sea. Everything is really right here: from the quality of the food to the ambience to the friendly service. Service and Hospitality: The entire team is incredibly warm and attentive. You can feel that the employees are happy and that the well-being of the guests is important to them. We received excellent care throughout our visit, and special requests were met without any problems. The personal and authentic nature of the service makes the visit even more special. Conclusion: Zur Düne - Naturstrandküche is a real insider tip on the Baltic Sea and we were completely impressed. The mix of great food, breathtaking ambience and excellent service makes this restaurant a special highlight. We can recommend it to anyone who is looking for an unforgettable culinary experience in nature. We are already looking forward to our next visit!

Sorry, but unfortunately I have to be very direct again: I don't understand how the previous recessions came about. We were guests with 4 people and apart from the drinks, the food wasn't even a grade 4!!! Shrimp from the freezer with dip and salad pre-cut from the bag, it was all floating in fat/oil, just like the fish, other than the massive taste of fat, there was no other taste. The baked potato was so full of sour cream that it dripped off the edge of the plate. The eye is there, no trace. The price/performance ratio is an absolute disaster. 2 dishes + 1 orange juice spritzer + 1 Cola Zero, some please ask for €82. 😥 We let a lot go back, so we didn't eat it because it was simply inedible. I don't know if our bar is set too high, but then please don't ask for €82. Conclusion and I rarely write this: No goodbye!!! Not recommended!!! 🤷🏼‍♂️ SORRY!

The atmosphere right on the Baltic Sea is really beautiful. The food on the entire beach promenade is expensive, that should be clear to everyone. In our case the portion was very large and also very tasty. The waiter was very friendly and attentive. Unfortunately we had a lot of wasps on and around the table. Bottom line, worth a visit.

1 star for the reasonably clean and solid washrooms. Otherwise, unfortunately I can't say anything positive; The service is rude, distant and, above all, inattentive. Many of the suspected seasonal workers spoke German poorly. They probably think, as is often the case in exposed locations, that there are always enough tourists anyway. If you're not one - but from the area - places like this just annoy you.
