A beautiful view of the Weser Valley

2024: New attempt, this time with cash. Don't drive via Dehmer Bergweg and Wittingweg without a four-wheel drive vehicle. Almost got stuck. The food and dessert were really great and the service was great too. 2022: Unfortunately no card payment possible. I wasn't planning on going there, but we were hungry and luckily we asked first as a precaution.

Everyone was very friendly and super nice. The food tastes great and I can only recommend the Wilder Schmied. For me, five stars 🌟 is still not enough.🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟👍👍👍👍👍

Great place to break off hikes through the Wiehengebirge for a little refreshment or refreshment. A beautiful beer garden, a good selection of dishes and drinks and friendly staff ensure the necessary relaxation before you continue.

The road there is a bit adventurous, but the view from the top of the mountain is very beautiful. The interior of the restaurant is rustic and cozy.

Everything perfect! We stopped here during a bike trip. First just for a drink, then for an entire meal. The food is really delicious! The view is fantastically beautiful! Although the card clearly states that payment is only possible in cash because there is no cell phone reception, we were even able to pay via Paypal upon request. Unfortunately, the prices are not cheap, but you get a complete package of service, food and view that suited us.

Absolute recommendation for all sorts of excursions such as hikes, etc. The view from the terrace is great and the inside is also very rustic. The food is also very good, but there is a lack of vegetarian alternatives. The ribs can be pre-ordered for groups of 8 or more, it's worth it!

Very good restaurant, great service and the portions are more than enough, so the 3.5km walk from the hotel was worth it

After a long walk we were warmly greeted. The drinks and food were provided quickly and it was delicious.

We were here with children and waited 1.5 hours just for fries, even though the shop wasn't particularly busy. It doesn't work at all.

A nice stop on a hike through the Wiehengebirge. Unfortunately, we came by here on Father's Day and the main offering was bratwurst and fries, but we still enjoyed this snack. No wonder, we had already covered almost fifteen kilometers and our appetite was great. The music was loud and certainly not a cultural highlight, but that's not always the case. I can recommend for a stop.

Nice place to stop if you are traveling in the Wiehengebirge. Large beer garden with a beautiful view of the Weser and Bad Oeynhausen. Local is very well signposted on the hiking trails in the Wiehengebirge.

As always, the food and view were great, we stopped by for a quick bike ride 🚲. We can only recommend it to everyone. April 29th, 2023 there is nothing to add, everything is great again, but one more thing. We had the opportunity to go to the Wilden Schmied for a birthday and can absolutely recommend the grill buffet (American style) that was offered there. All in all, we heard from friends that the chef, who has been working there for about two years, has a very good reputation and creates really great dishes there. The service at the event was really good, especially two colleagues behind the counter for over 60 people. That was a strong performance. You can easily accommodate a DJ in the space, dance and, above all, party for a long time because no one lives around it. There is a beer garden with a beautiful view and some hiking trails around it. The biggest challenge is parking. You can drive to the location by car. However, the path from the round hut is not so easy and not easy to navigate.

You quickly got a table, were asked straight away what you would like to drink and a short time later what you would like to eat. The salad came quite quickly and the food came less than 15-20 minutes later. You could also have had dessert on the house. Overall very tasty and friendly staff. I can only recommend it as a destination

Went to the wild blacksmith yesterday to eat Spare Rips. The ribs were super tasty and there was plenty of supplies. I would like to emphasize the very nice and courteous service. Our glasses were never empty.

After a long walk. It's a place to replenish and take in the view of porta and Herford fantastic. It's the only place for miles to get refreshment. Make the most of it.

Nice stop on Wittekindsweg, approx. 5km before the Kaiser Wilhelm monument. Good selection of food and drinks. Friendly, attentive service.

Herzlichkeit steht hier im Vordergrund, jeder ist hier Willkommen ob groß oder klein, Mensch oder Tier. Immer nette Bedienung die für ein kurzes Gespräch offen ist.... Das Team ist einfach super und werde euch wärmstens weiterempfehlen.. 🥰

Schöne rudtikale Kneipe. Heute sogar im Schnee.

Für Wanderer zum Aufwärmen nicht geeignet. Es war sehr kalt. Kamin war zwar an aber warm war es uns nicht geworden. Der Kakao viel zu teuer und die Bockwurst sah nach B Ware aus.

Alles sehr schön, tolle Stimmung, das Essen erste Kasse. Preis Stimmt. Das Personal ist flink und aufmerksam 👍Ein Punkt Abzug, dafür, das Sylvester in den Räumen geraucht werden durfte, der Raum vom Büfett eiskalt war und die Tanzfläche bei der guten Stimmung zu klein war.

Urig-Gemütlich, sehr freundliche und unkomplizierte Mitarbeiter. Das Essen kommt schnell und schmeckt gut, der Preis ist auch angemessen. Highlight: Vanilleeis mit heißen Kirschen - einfach lecker!

Wir kommen nicht oft aber immer wieder mit Freude.

Leckeres Essen in angenehmer Atmosphäre zu fairem Preis. Freundlicher Service. Hunde sind auch im Restaurant und nicht nur im Biergarten, der übrigens eine tolle Aussicht bietet, willkommen. Dafür würde ich sogar noch einen ⭐ dazu geben

Wir wandern immer wieder gern hier hoch zum Wilden Schmied! Eine gute Stärkung sowie Drinks nehmen wir dann gerne hier zu uns !!!

Super Essen, netter Service und tolle Aussicht. Einzig und allein die Möglichkeit nicht mit Karte zahlen zu können (übrigens ohne Hinweise an den Tischen) ist im Jahre 2023 nicht mehr zeitgemäß

Tolles Essen und für seine Preise alles super. Nur leider 1 Stern Abzug für ausschließlich Barzahlung (und keinen Hinweis dazu!!!!!) und 1 Stern Abzug für anschließende Zahlung per Rechnung mit falschen Preisen.

Unglaubliches Preis Leistungsverhältnis. Für drei Leute mit drei Gängen und Getränken waren es 80€ Klingt erstmal viel, aber hier gilt das Motto "viel und gut" Die Aussicht ist atemberaubend und wunderschön mit anzusehen. Das war definitiv nicht der letzte Besuch.

Nicht einfach zu finden, aber wenn, dann hat es sich gelohnt!! Nettes Personal, tolle Aussicht und vor allem: sehr lecker Essen!

Dieses Restaurant war das zwischenziel unserer Wanderung. Hier findet man neben einer tollen Aussicht, auch freundliches Personal und leckeres Essen zu fairen Preisen. Das war auf jeden Fall nicht mein letzter Besuch.

Sehr tolles Personal, welches sich durch meine 2 Jungs nicht aus der Ruhe bringen ließ. Da die beiden auch noch komplizierte Esser sind , wurde extra was für sie gemacht. Und das auch noch gut erschwinglich. Auch früher bin ich gerne mal auf ein Radler geblieben. Wasser für unterwegs gab es auch. Vielen Dank noch mal und bis dann. :-)
