The Sportsman is a restaurant with delicious food plus a friendly, warm atmosphere. This is really a great mix. Of course also ideal for watching football, very good picture and sound quality.

Delicious burgers and also available gluten-free I've been looking for a good burger place for a long time since I came to FN. Now I've finally found what I'm looking for. They have really tasty burgers with freshly prepared meat. Therefore, I can definitely recommend the restaurant. However, the fries are nothing special. It would be nice if they also offered wedges as an alternative. It's also nice that they offer gluten-free buns. This meant that my wife and sister-in-law, who suffer from celiac disease, were also able to enjoy their burger. However, the surcharge left a bad taste in our mouths. The gluten-free burgers are really good, but we think charging 6 euros extra for them is a lot. That makes the burger almost twice as expensive (10 euros normal, 16 euros gluten-free). The owner told us that the rolls really cost that much individually and that they pass the price on to the customer. If you don't mind the greatly increased price, we can definitely recommend the gluten-free burgers. Maybe in the future they will find a way to lower the supplier's price a little, especially since this intolerance seems to be increasing and demand should therefore increase.

We became aware of the Restaurant zum Athlete through the good reviews. We once ordered pizza here and it was really delicious. Another day we ate there. The food and service were really great. Everything happened very quickly and was freshly prepared. If we were to be there again, we would definitely visit this restaurant again. Clear recommendation!

This is not a clubhouse in that sense. You can really call it a nice little restaurant. The food is great! The staff was great! Ambiance top! And when football comes along, there's a really cool atmosphere! Only recommended!

Discovered this restaurant by chance during a stopover in Friedrichshafen. We really liked the friendly staff and the delicious food.

Delicious food in a place where you don't expect it

Unfortunately I can't share the reviews, The service leaves a lot to be desired. It takes 30 minutes before you can order something to drink. After we were allowed to order food, I have to say it has nothing to do with cooking. First we had to wait 50 minutes for food, and then the impudence came. A sausage salad with zero taste, the prepackaged one from the supermarket has the same taste. The pizza was ok except that the middle was slightly raw. But the fillet pan is impudence personified. Approx. 70g in 3 mini pieces of meat, with a handful of tasteless cheese noodles. The sauce was a mixed sauce from Knorr or something similar. For a pan that cost 21 euros and this result, it was my last time eating there.

Great, attentive service and very tasty food. The burgers are especially great! We were very pleasantly surprised because, to be honest, we didn't expect such good cuisine in a sports facility. Because we were so excited, we ate there three times during our 10-day vacation 😉 Big praise also goes to the friendly service, who keeps an overview even in the most hustle and bustle and is consistently friendly and accommodating!

Very pleasant atmosphere for a sports center. Very nice owners who are happy to take care of the individual guests. Through weekly visits, almost all of the dishes have already been eaten and found to be good.

We ended up here today because of the good reviews. I rarely write reviews myself, but I'll make the effort here. Super nice, guest-oriented service. It took some time to prepare, but we were rewarded with incredibly delicious food. Top burger, above all we have ordered. And incredibly good prices for the quality offered. We are happy to find/have such restaurants locally and will definitely be happy to come back.

Can totally support the reviews! Service was super friendly, the food was really delicious, and for a sports restaurant on the sports field there was a really nice atmosphere. We had a really good burger and the really WORLD-CLASS onion roast. Quality, appearance, taste: awesome. And if the service is absolutely right, you feel like you're in good hands and you can iron out little things. Would love to come back. Absolutely recommended, also value for money.

We were here twice during our vacation on Lake Constance. Food is top!!! Especially for people like me with gluten intolerance, for whom it is really difficult to find a restaurant in Germany where you can eat well gluten-free. Almost impossible 😔. Here you can get almost all dishes gluten-free! Even pizza and burgers 🤩.... I've never eaten such good gluten-free burgers!!! But all the other dishes were also very tasty!😋 You always feel welcome here, everyone is very nice and accommodating ☺️ It's a shame that we didn't discover it sooner and our vacation will soon be over, otherwise we would definitely have come here more often 😉

Ein spontaner Besuch in den Sommerferien war nach kurzem Anruf vorher problemlos möglich. Die Bestellung und bringen der Getränke ging zügig. Das Essen dauerte etwas war aber absolut noch im Rahmen. Die Bedienungen waren immer freundlich. Das Essen war im Ordnung bis bis gut. Die Salate waren lecker und ordentlich groß als Hauptspeise. Die Lende mit Käsespätzle waren geschmacklich in Ordnung. Die Fleischmenge fand ich mit 3 kleineren Stückchen und vielleicht 120 Gramm maximal deutlich zu wenig. Für 22 oder 23 Euro darf es gerne etwas mehr sein. Negativ zu bewerten ist ganz klar das Gebäude. Es hatte ein dünneres Dach und große Fenster und keine Klimatisierung. An unserem Besuchstag war es draußen locker 28 Grad und sehr sonnig. Ich habe trotz der aufgestellten Ventilatoren sehr geschwitzt wie selten zuvor. Auch beim Zahlungswunsch müssten wie relativ lange warten. Fazit: Man kann hier gerne hin gehen aber man muss es nicht.

We were looking for a place to stop at Lake Constance. We became aware of the athlete through the recessions. We had excellent burgers. Everything obviously very fresh. The innkeepers are totally friendly and authentic. So if you want to enjoy something delicious in a pleasant atmosphere at a fair price, you should just give the athlete a try.

Was there for the first time after a recommendation and ordered a burger. The bread was the best I've ever had. I was also pleasantly surprised at the prices. Service was top, the ambience was designed with a lot of effort inside for an athlete's home. The terrace is just normal but still 5 stars for everything. Will come more often in the future 👍

We immediately decided to eat here and got a table outside straight away. Of course the view of the parking lot isn't the best, but the rest of it was great. The burgers and sweet potato fries as well as the salad were really tasty. We can highly recommend it and will definitely come back :)

Warm welcome at the door and at our table, and even warmer sitting inside on this warm summer's evening. They had fans running, but somehow they made no difference. A simple Zwiebelrostbraten and salad - YUM!! A lovely refreshing local apple/cherry cider to accompany, and William Pear schnapps to send us out the door.

Really delicious food at really reasonable prices. Everything freshly prepared and served appetizingly. The waitresses are nice and on the ball. Unfortunately I have to deduct a star for the ambience, as there were shards of glass on the floor under the table, which the small children present almost swallowed in an unobserved moment. But here too, the employees reacted immediately and swept the entire floor neatly again.

I was here for a birthday (private party). Very nice clubhouse, great ambience, very tasty food, friendly staff/innkeepers. Recommended.

Tasty but a little more expensive

Nous sommes allés manger un soir de semaine. Mon mari a pris un burger et était très satisfait: belle présentation et quantité généreuse. J'ai pris une pizza qui avait tout d'une pizza au feu de bois bien croustillante, mais la texture était en réalité molle (comme une pizza réchauffée au micro-onde), dommage. We are traveling in our motorhome on Lake Constance and ate here today and watched football 🤩 The food is world class, just really delicious. We had fried potatoes, chicken burgers with sweet potato fries and spaetzle with pork medallions. Everything was perfect. The boss and the people in the restaurant were also very funny and nice. As a bonus there is a huge screen with football 🤩🤩🤩

Sehr Empfehlenswert! Im „Sportstüberl“ lief auf der Leinwand ein Fußballspiel - wir wurden sofort gefragt ob das stört und ob es ausgeschalten werden soll - war kein Problem, die Lautstärke war dezent eingestellt. Alle sehr freundlich und das Essen super lecker! Wir hatten Crispy Chicken Salat, Schwabenpfännle und den Bacon Burger - alles wirklich sehr köstlich. Die Getränkekarte lässt keine Wünsche offen, es gibt auch hausgemachte Limonaden! Zum Schluss haben wir einen gängigen Digestif bestellt, der Besitzer hat uns daraufhin noch einen besseren empfohlen und uns danach sogar gefragt, ob er seine Empfehlung auch verrechnen darf. Also wirklich ein sehr netter und respektvoller Umgang mit Gästen.

Eine absolute Seltenheit - wir waren während unseres Urlaubs 2x hier essen. Normalerweise gehen wir nie doppelt irgendwo essen. Aber es hat seinen Grund - das Essen ist mega lecker, preiswert und die Chefs sind wahnsinnig nett und kommunikativ. Wir sind im benachbarten Appartement untergebracht. Somit war's ein Heimspiel! Sehr zu empfehlen ist die Schwaben Pfännle mit Käsespätzle! Mega lecker. Dankeschön 😊

Hallo,wir hatten eine Ferienwohnung nebenan. Leider hat das Babyphone nicht bis zu uns gereicht. Äußerst freundlich wurde uns das Essen,auf Tellern, zum mitnehmen gegeben. Dafür schon mal eine 1+. Was uns dann an Essen erreicht war einfach nur genial. Uns so wie es aussieht,hat es auch geschmeckt. Sehr lecker 😋

Die besten Burger der Welt. Neuerlich bin ich extra von Ravensburg nach Fischbach gefahren um im Sportler zu essen! Dieses Lokal ist eine Reise wert!

Freundlich, schnell, preiswert! Man geht auf Sonderwünsche der Gäste ein, macht mal einen Schritt mehr und fühlt sich gut aufgehoben. Wirt ist Italiener, daher kann man dort neben schwäbischen Gerichten und Burger auch leckere Pizza genießen. Auch was die Getränke angeht lässt der Sportler sich nicht lumpen. Nach Wünschen einiger Gäste wurde neben Meckatzer vom Fass auch Augustiner Hell in Flaschen angeschafft...
