We found "zum Sportler" online. Due to the many positive reviews, we chose "den Sportler" for the evening. We went there for dinner, and our expectations were exceeded. The drinks we ordered arrived in no time. The food also came quickly. The food was very, very good, and the prices for the large portions were very reasonable. The owner was very friendly, as were the staff. On the way home, we decided to come back, which we did, and we were once again very satisfied. Thanks to Enzo and his team

We were there in 32-degree heat, expecting a quick drink and solid food. The drink took far too long (they apologized for that), and the food was unfortunately disappointing. The pizza was still doughy on the inside, and the Parmesan was overly generous. Grated cheese was okay, but chunks weren't! The salad was ridiculously expensive and tasted like convenience food. When we honestly asked if it was tasty, the only response was, "Oh!" You wish they'd make amends... Anyway, we were only here for vacation and certainly won't be coming back.

Bei beiden Pizzen war der Teig noch nicht durch, Pizzen (jeweils Frutti di Mare) durchnässt, dass der Karton komplett aufgeweicht ist und getrieft hat (Autositze hatten auch was davon). Versprochene Wartezeit um 50 % überzogen - für ein unfertiges ungenießbares Teil. Personal wie gewohnt freundlich. Apfelschorle war lecker.

Mega delicious food and very friendly staff

The dough on both pizzas wasn't cooked through, and the pizzas (both Frutti di Mare) were soaked that the cardboard was completely soggy and dripping (the car seats also suffered from this). The promised wait time was 50% overdue – for an unfinished, inedible item. Staff was friendly as usual. The apple spritzer was delicious.

Wir hatten Schweizer Wurstsalat mit Bratkartoffeln und Jägerschnitzel mit Pommes anstatt Spätzle bestellt. Nach einer Stunde war unser Essen immer noch nicht da, andere Gäste erhielten ihre Essen und danach auch noch die Desserts. Da die Bedienung dafür keinen Blick hatte, ging ich an die Theke und hakte nach. Mit dem Hinweis, wenn unsere Essen jetzt noch nicht in der mache sind, bestellen wir ab. Was für ein Zufall😂😂 gerade eine Minute vorher wurde unser Essen zubereitet. Es kam dann innerhalb 10 Minuten auch. Zuerst mein Schweizer Wurstsalat und der beilagensalat meines Mannes. Danach dann meine Bratkartoffeln ( sehr gesund, da ohne Salz) und mit kurzem Abstand das Jägerschnitzel mit Spätzle. Bestellt hatten wir aber Pommes. Diese kamen dann noch mal 5 Minuten später mit dem Hinweis der Bedienung, das geht auf‘s Haus. Warum sollten wir für etwas zahlen, das wir nicht bestellt haben. Es kam eine laue, unprofessionelle Begründung. Auf‘s Haus ist nichts gegangen, auch nicht als kleine Entschuldigung. Essen war ok alles andere lies sehr zu wünschen übrig. Schlechtester Service mit unwilliger Professionalität. Fehler können passieren. Aber der Umgang damit geht nicht.

Highly recommended, there is a wide selection of gluten-free food and a boss who knows her stuff.

We happened upon the restaurant by chance because we wanted something to eat for dinner at 6:30 p.m. on our way back from Konstanz. Google provided restaurants along our route, and we decided on the sports center. Homely cooking and definitely something for kids. When we arrived, we were very surprised to find such a great location in the sports center of the local soccer club. Cozy atmosphere, great, friendly staff, and excellent food and drinks. The cocktails are their own creations and very tasty, and the beer (lager, wheat beer) for the man, on tap, is also very good. The value for money is also good. You could actually say that this restaurant, a bit hidden and inconspicuous, is a real insider tip. Thanks to the team, keep up the good work, and we'll definitely be back.

A restaurant at the sports field

Unfortunately, we relied on the positive reviews. We had reserved a table for dinner. We placed our order at 5:55 p.m. At 7:05 p.m., we still hadn't had any food. The staff kept putting us off. However, they served a fairly reasonable amount of food during that time. Maybe 10 meals. The kitchen must be catastrophically organized and overwhelmed! THAT'S ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE! The food was mediocre. Once, and never again.

Cheese spaetzle with ready-fried onions and run-of-the-mill cheese, salad was OK. Pizza gives the impression that they are simply ready-made pizzas. The burgers look delicious and are probably quite good too. Staff is very nice and also a nice environment. Sports home flair with live football via Sky is a given!

Absolute recommendation! Often not all the dishes are good when there is so much different on offer like here, but everything was so incredibly tasty and we will definitely come back. The meat was very tasty and crispy, the dressing was served separately which I also think was very good and the dessert was also a poem. We received our food very quickly and the service was also very friendly. Everyone is sure to find something on the menu here.

The Sportsman is a restaurant with delicious food plus a friendly, warm atmosphere. This is really a great mix. Of course also ideal for watching football, very good picture and sound quality.

Delicious burgers and also available gluten-free I've been looking for a good burger place for a long time since I came to FN. Now I've finally found what I'm looking for. They have really tasty burgers with freshly prepared meat. Therefore, I can definitely recommend the restaurant. However, the fries are nothing special. It would be nice if they also offered wedges as an alternative. It's also nice that they offer gluten-free buns. This meant that my wife and sister-in-law, who suffer from celiac disease, were also able to enjoy their burger. However, the surcharge left a bad taste in our mouths. The gluten-free burgers are really good, but we think charging 6 euros extra for them is a lot. That makes the burger almost twice as expensive (10 euros normal, 16 euros gluten-free). The owner told us that the rolls really cost that much individually and that they pass the price on to the customer. If you don't mind the greatly increased price, we can definitely recommend the gluten-free burgers. Maybe in the future they will find a way to lower the supplier's price a little, especially since this intolerance seems to be increasing and demand should therefore increase.

We became aware of the Restaurant zum Athlete through the good reviews. We once ordered pizza here and it was really delicious. Another day we ate there. The food and service were really great. Everything happened very quickly and was freshly prepared. If we were to be there again, we would definitely visit this restaurant again. Clear recommendation!

Discovered this restaurant by chance during a stopover in Friedrichshafen. We really liked the friendly staff and the delicious food.

Delicious food in a place where you don't expect it

Unfortunately I can't share the reviews, The service leaves a lot to be desired. It takes 30 minutes before you can order something to drink. After we were allowed to order food, I have to say it has nothing to do with cooking. First we had to wait 50 minutes for food, and then the impudence came. A sausage salad with zero taste, the prepackaged one from the supermarket has the same taste. The pizza was ok except that the middle was slightly raw. But the fillet pan is impudence personified. Approx. 70g in 3 mini pieces of meat, with a handful of tasteless cheese noodles. The sauce was a mixed sauce from Knorr or something similar. For a pan that cost 21 euros and this result, it was my last time eating there.

Great, attentive service and very tasty food. The burgers are especially great! We were very pleasantly surprised because, to be honest, we didn't expect such good cuisine in a sports facility. Very pleasant atmosphere for a sports center. Very nice owners who are happy to take care of the individual guests. Through weekly visits, almost all of the dishes have already been eaten and found to be good.
