Almost as bad as could be. Over 1 hour wait between ordering and food arriving. No real apology given either, just that the Kitchen had some kind of riot??. Even worst we ordered a side salad to eat with our meal which arrived after 20mins but by the time our food arrived that was gone. Being outside we was almost too cold to eat when the food did arrive. To add more insult, another side salad was brought out with our meal, but seeing the empty salad bowl that was quickly taken away from us. The meals were OK, but nothing amazing even after the wait. Even after this terrible service no apology, no extra drink etc to make up for the wait, and still demanded full price. No one around us was happy at all. Extremely disappointed, and a very black mark on our trip. Will never be returning and would like a manager to acknowledge this was not good service at all.

What a great restaurant The owner is very nice and because we had dogs with us, they turned on the heaters on the terrace. The food was great, we had 4 different things and everything was equally tasty The dessert was also enjoyed by everyone Highly recommended We had about 2 or 3 drinks per person and 2 courses of food.

The service was nice and attentive, the food was rather unimportant, bagged spaetzle and not particularly good. The atmosphere on the terrace was good. I can't understand the opening times either, but it's up to the operator and it's written down, so there's no need to complain about it...

We were in the bistro during our summer vacation in 2024. Despite it being busy, the waiting time was quite short and the service was friendly. The Black Forest cake was delicious, as was the cheesecake. In terms of price, it was the cheapest cafe visit during our vacation.

There were four of us there. Wheat beer is only available in small glasses, the Black Forest cake is nothing special and the Black Forest cherry cup was a big disappointment. It was simple and, despite the constant search for taste, it didn't have a drop of kirsch. Price/performance ratio not given.

Damage. Good location, very pleasant staff. However, the dishes served are not tasty. My friend had a pizza and I had a tarte flambée, I didn't see a big difference.

Unfortunately I'm not so convinced, the waitress was very friendly but schnitzel with a handful of fries for over €15 and no sauce... the tomato soup was ok, unfortunately too much cream...

Thanks to the team of waiters who were very lenient with my very broken German! We ate very well and the welcome was warm, thanks to you we had a great time! I recommend!

It's called Café and Restaurant There were 6 of us who wanted to order coffee and cake, then we were told that only guests who ordered food somewhere could also order coffee and cake and we had to leave the restaurant.

7 p.m. kitchen closes in mid-August - respect! Unbelievable in a holiday resort! But… the horse stable is happy! They were open and hosting us! PS - Addendum: When it comes to defending yourself against reviews, the bistro is top 👍🏼, very active and very fast.

We initially stopped here just looking for a quick bite, with our choice driven mainly by its convenient location and not expecting much else. However, what a pleasant surprise we encountered! The tarte flambée, a less commonly found local specialty, was outstanding in both preparation and presentation. The croquettes accompanied by chanterelle mushrooms were not only visually appealing but also a treat for the taste buds. The meat-loaf and potato salad exceeded our expectations as well, leaving us thoroughly satisfied. Zum See Bistro truly delivered much more than we anticipated, turning a simple snack into a delightful meal.

Spontaneously ate here yesterday. Good honest cuisine, very nice service. Children's meals, small portions, delicious desserts. We felt very comfortable. We'll be back

The friendliest place we ate at while staying in Titisee. The ladies serving were lovely and although we don’t speak very much German they were very kind. Food and drinks were good so I’d definitely recommend.

Had to wait a very long time... (approx. 1 hour 30 minutes) Then the food was a relatively small portion. The service was very good and friendly. But the price wasn't worth it for us. Fries were well fried and hard. Mayo and ketchup cost another 50 cents more, which I think is worth it for a dish that costs around €20

Friendliness of service so-so... I had ordered a Black Forest sausage salad, which arrived after more than half an hour and was more of a children's portion, somewhat carelessly prepared... And that for 11.90! The bread that came with it wasn't the freshest either. You would want a nice farmhouse bread with it. But you don't dare say anything, ...see above....

Unfortunately, the food wasn't that great. Normally I would say. You can do better at home. It's a shame. And the long waiting times to eat. Did the cook fall asleep? Sorry, not possible. Not recommended.

Great place for lunch while traveling into Germany. We had the ham and bread board, spatzle with pork in a mushroom cream sauce, and cheese pizza. The desserts look amazing. Big portions - you can easily share one dish between two adults.

The food is very good and the portions are large. Had seasonal leaf salad with chanterelles and smoked salmon. The chanterelles are well seasoned with pepper, but with half seeds and I hate biting on peppercorns. That annoyed me a bit. But the dish itself is highly recommended. Unfortunately it took forever until the food was served. Those at the neighboring table also had to wait a long time for their slices of cake. Condition was friendly. The prices are more than reasonable and are also feasible for smaller budgets.

Super delicious food! The menu had a section with seasonal dishes and regional dishes. The service was very friendly and accommodating. The next time we vacation here again, we will 100% visit the restaurant.

Not recommendable. The boss very unfriendly. Tables inside marked as reserved, but no one is allowed to sit there, even though everything was free. The food is not recommended. The young waitress was very nice, otherwise unfortunately not recommended. It's better to avoid this restaurant. You shouldn't leave your money there.

Great food. Schnitzel with great breading that was fried as it should be. Dad Titisee Pfannele also perfect. Great spaetzle, great mushroom sauce and juicy meat. The Black Forest cake is a dream. The service was very friendly and competent. If we are in the area again, we would be happy to come back.

Chef is super rude, I think he have problems with foreigners

There don't seem to be any problems in the areas of tourism and gastronomy in the Black Forest. If a restaurant closes at 7 p.m. and you are asked to leave at 6:30 p.m. because it is about to close... I have no understanding at all. 0 out of 5 stars. Now bring the 150-200 euros to the competitor.

Wir sind hier über den Mittag wegen dem schlechten Wetter zum Mittagessen rein gegangen. Die Speisekarte hat eine anständige Auswahl aber die Küche ist auf tiefem Niveau. Ganz nach dem Motto „ unsere Gäste kommen eh nur einmal“ wird hier gekocht…Bedienung trotz wenig Gästen im Stress und entsprechend unfreundlich. Also besser weiter Laufen und andere Gaststätte suchen….

We stopped by on a drizzly day after a walk by the lakeside. There was still snow on the ground but the little village was beautiful. We were drawn in by the heaters in the centre of the tables. Two of us shared a pizza which was nice and the others had hotdog sausage with bread which was quite basic. Was good enough but nothing special

We were in the Black Forest to take a few days vacation and unwind. We went to eat here in the afternoon. The lady who served us was very friendly and responsive and the food was good too. We enjoyed it. Greetings from Saarland

Passing through Titisee-Neustadt, small food stop in the center of the village under the snow in April. Menu with local dishes and a small rosé. Correct prices. Pay attention to parking, pay for your parking, the municipal authorities pass by the minute ready for a minimum fine of 20 euros.

Not recommended!!! Staff was very unfriendly. Hardly a hello!! I ordered a salad. When I tried to take a slice of bread, it was all blue and moldy!! I pointed this out to the service very discreetly so that the other guests wouldn't notice. No excuse, no discount!!! Only new bread that she left for us. Of course my appetite was gone by then. Unfortunately less than 1 star is not possible.

Die Lage des bistro ist wirklich gut und schön gelegen. Das Essen war sehr gut und mit Liebe angerichtet. Das Ambiente ist offen und modern. Das Personal ist sehr höflich und auch immer für ein Gespräch zu haben. Der Apfelstrudel echt lecker und die Portion stand im Vergleich zum Preis sehr gut da. Gerne wieder

Die Qualität ist hier deutlich besser als in den großen Restaurants des Touri-Ortes. Hier bekommt man den leckeren Beilagensalat mit einem ordentlichen Dressing und auch das Putenschnitzel mi Kartoffelsalat war sehr lecker. Hier war ich nicht das letzte Mal. Sehr netter und unkomplizierter Service

Auch wir waren am Titisee als "Touris" unterwegs und sind hier gelandet. Das Essen war schmackhaft und das Ambiente auch nicht schlecht. Wir haben hier im im Biergarten gesessen.

Accueil glacial ,service rapide , serveuse impatiente faisant la grimace lors d’une hésitation dans le choix des menus, ceci dit ,leurs poêlée « Titisee » escalope/spätzle/champignons était très bonne .

Service rapide, nourriture locale c est une bonne adresse avec de la place pour se garer parfait pour les familles et les prix sont très corrects

Die Bedienung war freundlich und das Essen gut. Einziger Kritikpunkt ist das zu schnell automatisch abschaltende Licht auf der Herrentoilette, aber diesen Kritikpunkt hat die Bedienung mitgenommen und wird ihn bestimmt beseitigen.

Ein absolutes Erlebnis, sehr gute Küche, Services,waren das erste Mal da Essen und ich kann es nur weiter empfehlen und es ist schwierig für mich gute Küche und Service zu finden aber da konnte meine Tochter und Enkelin es richtig genießen, Dankeschön.

Das Essen war sehr lecker. Service und Ambiente sehr gut. Die Öffnungszeiten sind "ortsüblich" gewöhnungsbedürftig. Für uns Städter sind Schließungszeiten von 20 Uhr sehr gewöhnungsbedürftig. Aber das ist dort überall gleich. Das Restaurant ist familienfreundlich und die Preise angemessen.

Nette, aufmerksame Bedienung. Gute regionale Speisekarte und - auch wenn es sich komisch liest - der leckerste Beilagensalat, den wir je gegessen haben. Alle Pfifferlinggerichte sind zu empfehlen.

Nicht so freundlicher wirt, das Essen war sehr günstig zubereitet (z. B. Dosenpilze und Fertigspätzle für die man 16€ verlangt). Die Bedienung war sehr gestresst. Man hat einfach gemerkt dass die Wirtschaft vom Tourismus profitiert. Mein stammlokal wird das sicher nicht.

Gerecht 1017 "Schnitzel Wiener Art" was heerlijk. De Flamkuchen Schwarzwald was lekker alleen de schwarzwald spek maakte deze erg zout.

Tatsächlich war das Essen echt gut und auch die Preise sind in Ordnung. Abzug gibt es für den eher mäßig gut gelaunten Wirt hinterm Tresen und die eher fragwürdige Betischung und Bestuhlung im Außenbereich. Sonst kann man nicht viel meckern, sehr solide...

We hebben hier gegeten. Het was een kaart met ruime keuze, dat is waarschijnlijk ook waarom het eten niet beviel. De gerechten waren simpel bereid en leken kant en klaar. Daarentegen was de service wel vriendelijk en snel en was er ook een leuke sfeer.

Wollte andere Café Schwarzwäldisch Torte essen. Die warte Zeit hat gedauert brachte ab, fand diese Bistro. Ich holte Cappuccino und Torte. Personal sehr nett. Leider bin ich enttäuscht die Torte ist nicht Original und hat wenig Kirschen. Schade

Wir gehen seit Jahren ins Bistro zum See. Hier gibt es eine gute Auswahl an Getränken und leckere Speisen. Die Bedienungen nett und hilfsbereit.
