The various variations of cordon bleu are freshly prepared and taste fantastic. One portion of fries is usually enough for two people. The salad and dressing are also top-notch.

We wanted to try the highly praised Cordon Bleu. According to the website, the kitchen is open until 9:00 PM. At 8:35 PM, they said they were only serving tarte flambée. The kitchen had already been cleaned. The tarte flambée wasn't anything special, but the wine was very tasty. We were quite disappointed. We probably won't be back.

Palatinate Plate (€15.90) from the Gasthof Zum Schwanen in Deidesheim. A cozy beer garden courtyard with lots of plants and beautiful decor, friendly, fast, and child-friendly service, and excellent food at a reasonable price. The Palatinate Plate was perfect: delicious Lederknödel (leather dumplings), Saumagen (sausage stomach), and bratwurst with sauerkraut. It was accompanied by a good wine spritzer. Highly recommended, thank you 😃

I celebrated my birthday here a week ago. We were a group of about 20 people and were welcomed with a lot of hospitality, delicious food and a nice ambience. Individual arrangements regarding time, premises and special requests were possible in advance without any problems. We have been to Schwanen several times, a beautiful restaurant inside and in the courtyard in summer. Great wines, attentive staff. The food tasted very good, there was something different to eat there than usual. A small point of criticism, the fried potatoes are cut too thick, some are fried too much and some are not at all, something could be improved.

Bei einem Klassiker total versagt! Als kleinen Snack zwischendurch bestellten wir den klassischen Flammkuchen für 10,90€! Der Flammkuchen wurde ohne Besteck und Servietten serviert und wurde kalt! Der Flammkuchen schmeckte leicht säuerlich und war lieblos und schlecht belegt! Das geht ohne großen Aufwand sehr viel besser! Vielleicht liegt es an den zu vielen Touristen die nur einmal das Etablissement besuchen!

Hier sitzt man in einem schönen Innenhof, der Service ist aufmerksam, wenn er auch manchmal bisschen freundlichen sein dürfte. Weine und Speisen sind ok. Bisschen schade, dass sie einiges nicht selbst machen. Z. Bsp. der Flammkuchen war ein TK-Produkt, was der Koch dann auch noch in Massen auf dem Arm quer durch den Hof getragen hat. Passt trotzdem und man kann sich hier niederlassen.

We celebrated the eve of our wedding with a group of 52 people at the Gasthaus zum Schwanen and had a great time. Everything was prepared exactly as agreed and the wine shop we were sitting in was perfect for the size of the group and a comfortable get-together. The Schwanen team looked after us very well, professionally and friendly even though the inn was completely full, and as always at Schwanen we ate and drank really well. Overall, it was a really successful evening and we always enjoy coming back to the Schwanen!

Reservation was easy, friendly, unobtrusive service, I really enjoyed the food (Palatinate plate), as did the wine spritzer. Next time maybe in the courtyard, it looked very cozy, definitely again

The Restaurant zum Schwanen is beautifully located with a cozy courtyard in the middle of Deidesheim. The service was good and the food was tasty. The large selection of regional wines and the like was particularly great. The non-alcoholic Prosecco Wine Not from the Deidesheer Winzerverein is particularly recommended. Unfortunately I have to deduct one star because one dish contained mushrooms, even though they were not listed in the list and mushrooms are not vegetables.

We got a nice table in the courtyard and felt very comfortable. Unfortunately, my steak was a little too dark and therefore a little too dry. The Palatinate plate was very good. Nice atmosphere and nice waiters helped to overcome that.

This restaurant is much better than the Google reviews suggest! Unlike most other places in Deidesheim, you can always find a table here, which is a huge plus. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, and the dishes are delicious. I can wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone!

After a civil wedding, dinner in a small group. 8 adults had ordered various dishes (e.g. rump steak, schnitzel, tagliatelle, Palatinate dishes). 2 rump steaks were not medium, but rather well done and tough. One steak was replaced with a fresh one, and with the other steak the waiter came back with the plate and showed with a flashlight that the steak wasn't completely cooked inside. That was also the groom's steak. So they put him back to the old steak. But he still wasn't happy. The steak was still tough, so he left half the piece. How can you offer Argentinian rump steaks like this? They were almost charred from the outside!!! In addition, two schnitzels were fried too dark and were dry. The fries were very light and soft, not cooked through. They didn't even apologize. We were all very disappointed. Never again!!! Update: Only half of the guests were disappointed with the food. I hope that the owner will be able to take criticism and that he can do better next time.
