Seating is available inside and outside in the green, covered beer garden. Highly recommended in nice weather. Restrooms are very clean. _Service_ The staff are very attentive and thorough in their work. Orders were taken quickly and the food was served promptly. _Meals_ The menu leaves nothing to be desired in terms of variety. The offerings are diverse, and the well-portioned and elegantly presented meals are commendably delicious. Special requests are accommodated. _Conclusion_ Highly recommended. Reservations are probably advisable depending on the day and time.

We were in a group of six. We wanted to spend a pleasant evening with lots of socializing. We've been there quite a few times, but it's been seven years. Unfortunately, a lot has changed for the worse in that time. The service was nice but unfortunately very, very slow; everyone waited a long time for their drinks. We all had a variety of dishes. The schnitzel was good (but it's been better and especially hotter). The baked chicken was unfortunately very tasteless. The worst was the venison roast. It arrived last and wasn't even lukewarm. After complaining, the same plate came back, and it was only hot on the outside. Classic behavior after heating in the microwave. Furthermore, the roast was as dry and hard as a piece of shoe sole. Unfortunately, very disappointing. As "compensation," they offered us a shot of schnapps, although we didn't want it. Unfortunately, I can no longer recommend it.

Here in Dresden, we were looking for a traditional place to eat well and affordably. In the tavern, we were served by Michele, who recommended traditional meat dishes and an excellent beer. The atmosphere was pleasant and relaxed. It was a lovely discovery. Thanks Michele!

Loved this place, googled well in advance so had high expectations and they all came true. it really hit the traditional german vibe too. Also the staff were so friendly and attentive. I went for a schnitzel as that my favourite and i tell you that thing tasted like a dream ! Big portion so ended up giving up on the fries But i seen some plater comes by with delicious looking things so will definitely visit again when in town .

Unfortunately, I don't understand the positive review. The restaurant has high prices and low quality. I wouldn't rule out the possibility that some of the food served is ready-made. With a schnitzel priced at €30, I'd expect either a veal schnitzel or a large, perfect pork schnitzel. Neither was the case. It tasted like it used to in the cafeteria. It was good...but absolutely not worth the price. Normally, you get top-notch food for the money you have to spend here. Here, however...you get simple food at exorbitant prices. The value for money is almost only 1 star. That's really cheeky.

Delicious food with generous portions. Unfortunately, it was extremely busy, so we had to wait about an hour for our food, and then one of them was missing. It was a bit annoying, but otherwise highly recommended.

I had schnitzel, haxe, and egg noodles, and they were all delicious. The schnitzel was especially impressive. The draft beer was also delicious!

Hirschkeule und Roulade gab es - beides war seeeehr lecker. Wir haben den Lieferservice genutzt, was problemlos funktionierte. Essen war eingeschweißt und schön warm. Sehr zu empfehlen!!

A dream! Even the appetizer was super delicious and full of flavor. The main courses were not only generously portioned, but also top-notch. Perfectly prepared and beautifully presented. The desserts also rounded off the meal wonderfully—a real treat right down to the last spoonful! The drinks menu is varied, and the house recommendations were excellent :) The location itself is cozy, charming, and historic; you can feel the special character of the house without it feeling dated. The cleanliness, ambiance, and atmosphere also deserve high praise. We'd love to come back :)

A rustic, rustic atmosphere, delicious food, and friendly staff. I was most surprised by the beer, as the large beer here is 1.5 liters.

Very tasty food, moderate prices. The beer is served in 0.75 or 1.5 liter mugs. The food is, of course, brewery-style, so not really recommended for nouvelle cuisine or vegans.

Recommended. Historic ambiance, traditional cuisine, draft beer. Cakes are baked in-house. Partly bus-tourist, can get crowded. EC card payments accepted. They could offer more game dishes, but the venison was very tender. Very tasty. Portions are relatively large. Prices are reasonable.

A very good address if you don't want to travel far. Very easy to get to the train station and other transportation options. Very friendly service at the hotel. We'd be happy to stay again.

The restaurant was generally good. What was annoying was that there were only two beers to choose from upstairs. There were more downstairs. Apparently, communication between the two areas was also lacking, as the downstairs restaurant offered to simply order the beers and have them sent up by elevator. The practical solution was to order downstairs, pay, and take them upstairs.

We were at the Biergarden. The atmosphere was very pleasant, and the food quality was excellent. We had Schweinshaxe and Spartan Schnitzel for lunch. I highly recommend this restaurant.

The Zum Schießhaus restaurant is a true experience. The ambiance is extraordinary: stuffed animals everywhere, detailed decor – all in a rustic hunting style. You feel like you've been transported to another time. The beer is also served in unusual mugs, some of them oddly sized – charming and definitely something special. The atmosphere in the dining room is cozy, almost like an old hunting lodge. Unfortunately, our waitress was quite irritated and lacking in patience, which somewhat spoiled the experience. On the other hand, the food was convincing across the board: venison with excellent sauce, Bohemian dumplings, cranberries, and red cabbage – superbly seasoned and generously portioned. The only stylistic slip-up: the arugula leaves used as decoration didn't suit the rustic dish – I didn't eat them anyway. It's also a shame there was no slivovitz on the menu – it would have been perfect. Nevertheless: A strong restaurant with character and quality, where there's still room for improvement in service. But: I would love to come back.

Positive = Very friendly staff Negative = As good as the smell of food in the area around the restaurant is, the food is unfortunately just as bad. My omelet was too salty, the chef seemed to be in love... My husband had Szegedin goulash, which is a new thing to me.

I can't recommend Szeged goulash; I don't know where the chef got the recipe from. I wonder where the paprika was, not to mention that chicken doesn't belong in it at all. There was no beef at all. Only onions instead of sauerkraut. The whole thing was completely overpriced.

What an incredibly busy, noisy and full place. Even outside it was full. They do have a challenging menu full of local dishes, but the 2 dishes we chose, zander fillet and pork net were small, dry and of mediocre quality. The fried potatoes were very greasy. Because the place was completely full we had to wait a very long time for our food. And then for the bill. Despite the promising relations it is not recommended.

Very good food and very friendly service. The only complaint was the enormous noise level in the downstairs dining room. The upstairs dining rooms were quieter. We hadn't ordered and had to wait a bit, but we finally got a table. So ordering is a good idea; it's worth it.

Good rustic traditional German food

Very nice and cozy restaurant in Dresden. We came spontaneously and got a table straight away. The restaurant is not very big, but is very cozy and interestingly decorated like an old shooting house. We arrived after 10pm, but the kitchen was operational and we were able to order the soups - unbelievable!!! The food is delicious and the portions are really good. The beer is super tasty, there are many different types of beer. Be careful, the small beer portion is 0.4L, the medium is 0.75L and the large is 1.5L. There are also very tasty different types of liquor and schnapps. The rental workers are quick, nice and helpful. I can only recommend this restaurant. The next time I'm in Dresden, I'll be happy to come back.
