Zum Sandmännchen in Schwalbach

We pre-ordered chicken by phone four days ago for today, January 1st, at 6 pm. When we went to pick up the chicken today, the owner told us: "We're not serving chicken for 14 days." There was no apology, nothing. Instead, we were told that someone had tried to call us, but we couldn't be reached. No one called us (we can see that in the call log). We are very disappointed.

After over 30 years, there was rarely anything to complain about. And if there was, I just let it go and didn't make a fuss. That sometimes included burnt pizzas or even a nice black hair on the menu. Yesterday, however, I ordered the same pasta I've been ordering for 30 years. It was so sweet that I suspect they used condensed milk. I wasn't expecting anything when I called; I simply wanted to let them know that something had gone wrong. The response was that the pasta had always tasted like that. Then, to top it all off, the owner himself said, "We complain quite often." I've never complained there in my life, even though things have often been wrong. Not even an apology, nothing at all. Anyway, that's it for me now, and if they hadn't made me feel stupid on the phone, I never would have left a bad review after all this time. But oh well, that's how it is now.

A friend recommended this restaurant to me. It's a simple village inn, but with a lot of heart ❤️. We were greeted by a young woman, perhaps from Sri Lanka, who spoke with the thickest Saarland dialect. That was the perfect icebreaker 😃😃😃😃. The menu is very extensive. I opted for a Pizza Frutti di Mare. A family-sized pizza for only 10 euros 😃😃👍👍. The others also ordered pizza 🍕. The restaurant slowly filled up. The pizza arrived quickly. The crust was crispy yet fluffy. The toppings were sensational. The pizza was huge and very tasty. I will definitely come back and try everything on the menu. It's great that places like this still exist. The other restaurants are just greedy and often not very friendly. This place hasn't yet experienced that greed-flation. You have to vote with your feet.

We've been ordering from Sandmännchen for 30 years! We were visiting my parents in Saarland and I was so happy we ordered from them. The food was delicious as always! We're looking forward to ordering again when we're back.

The Lasagna Bolognese al Forno we ordered was full of ham. We complained to the waiter immediately after it was served, and he said that's just how lasagna is. That was the end of it for him. I asked him again and asked him to call the manager, who took the menu but didn't come. Such behavior was very, very unusual. The female waitress couldn't remember three drinks, okay, she was a very young girl. We won't be seen there anymore. Very sad when the manager himself cares so little about his guests. Now I understand the three stars, and even those are too many.

I have to say, the food came very quickly, the schnitzel was freshly prepared, and it tasted delicious. The staff was very friendly. We'll definitely be back. This won't be our last time.

Unfortunately, the pizza wasn't cooked properly. The Jägerschnitzel came with a ready-made sauce from a packet. It could have been made at home. The fries were rock-hard and not seasoned. The salad had almost no sauce. The only thing that was okay was the chicken. Conclusion: We probably won't be regular customers...

For three days in a row, they didn't get any chicken. They said they were out. They'd come back tomorrow...nothing...then they called on Monday because they said the delivery would be on Monday...and they told them on the phone that there were no deliveries on Sundays...sorry, but it's Monday...three half chickens were supposed to be delivered today...where did they come from if there were none yesterday and none today? Or are they only delivering two whole ones?.... The leaflet says delivery to Heusweiler, but they ask, "No, no delivery to Heusweiler..."...unbelievable

You're looking forward to a delicious kebab pizza, and then you get something like this. When I called, they told me it couldn't be that the salad looked like that; it had been freshly cut. In the end, they advised me to change pizzerias. This was the last time I'll order from there.

Pork medallions small and chewy

We ordered based on a recommendation and had to wait 1 hour; after 1.5 hours no delivery, after calling we were held up, "yes, it's on the way"... After another 20 minutes still no one was there. After a long. Call after 15 minutes and 10 minutes of discussion, the driver finally came... Food io....service catastrophe and unfriendly employee on the phone after the 2nd call! SERVICE is different!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (With 5 meals) No more orders from us!!!!

Good middle-class atmosphere with good cuisine

Noodles sometimes good, sometimes burnt. Schnitzel mostly edible, but diarrhea for at least a day. Picked up the best food and a pizza falls on the floor and unexpectedly it is packed and delivered. Service is great. But some things don't work!!!!

The Saarwaldverein is here more often when there are board or member meetings. A nice adjoining room is reserved for us and afterwards we can enjoy a good home-style meal. We receive excellent service.

Gemütliche und familiäre Lokalität in Sprengen. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt Bonn und ganz. Man wird sehr gut bedient und die Qualität ist ebenfalls gut. Einen Besuch kann man mit einem Spaziergang kombinieren, da das Restaurant am Waldrand gelegen ist.

Kommen seit Jahren hier her, immer gleichbleibend gut. Preisleistung stimmt hier. Nur zu empfehlen.

Seit Jahren wegen Umzug mal wieder einen Rohkostsalat bestellt und abgeholt. Schmeckt vom Dressing noch genauso wie früher. Allerdings fehlte das Rotkraut. Deswegen 1 Stern Abzug. Das Ambiente war noch genau wie früher. Die Kartenspieler an dem großen Tisch und es war sehr laut.

Also ich war mit meiner Oma da, ich war zum 2.mal total begeistert. Wir hatten ein Sandmännchen-Schnitzel mit Pommes.Zuvor gab es Salat,die Salatsoße allein ist einfach Bombe :).Auch die Bedienung war super freundlich :). Kann ich nur empfehlen :)

I sat down at the restaurant to have a drink or two in the ‘town square.’ The male host was attentive and provided me with the drinks list promptly. However, he prematurely put the bill on my table when I chose not to order food. I ignored the bill and he presented for payment saying that his shift was finishing and that 20€ was the minimum for card payments. I told the employee I did not have cash and could only pay by card - to which he obliged but made it known that what I did, “wasn’t fair.” Beware if you sit down at this place. He was just pushing for an upsell in the wrong manner.

Leider keine kostenlose Cola bekommen, trotz 90 Euro Rechnung. Werbeversprechen nicht gehalten. Dazu kommt das sie ein Gericht komplett vergessen haben und nicht mal eine Entschuldigung. Rest der war gut, nur napoli schmeckt nicht sonderlich würzig

Egal ob Pizza, Nudelgericht, Schnitzel oder Hähnchen, schmeckt alles immer sehr gut und ist absolut zu empfehlen!

Naja!!!! Habe Chefsalat bestellt. Dieser kostet 9,50 Euro, für diesen Preis ist die Portion ein Witz. Es gibt keine richtige Verpackung für Heimservice, Salat wurde im Plastikteller geliefert. Ein Pluspunkt habe ich jedoch, es war eine der besten Salatsoßen, die ich jemals gegessen habe

Gemütliches Gasthaus wo man echt leckere Gerichte Speisen kann. Hähnchen ist absolut empfehlenswert. Werde dieses Lokal öfters jetzt besuchen. Man kann dort auch bestellen und Heimservice gibt es dort auch.
