Ein sehr schöner Ort mit herzlicher Atmosphäre und authentischen Gerichten aus meiner früheren Heimat. Die Speisen erinnern an traditionelle Rezepte und sind mit viel Geschmack und Sorgfalt zubereitet. Besonders schön ist, dass man sich hier durch die Gastfreundschaft und die vertrauten Aromen ein Stück zuhause fühlen kann. Vielen Dank an das gesamte Team – wir kommen gerne wieder und empfehlen die Gaststätte weiter.

Ein lang geplanter Abend mit Freunden führte uns ins Restaurant "Samowar" in Halle/Saale. Das Essen und die Getränke sind liebevoll zubereitet und schmecken hervorragend! Hier möchte ich gleich noch einmal ein Kompliment an die Küche geben, vielen Dank für die schnelle Zubereitung der Speisen, es hat uns allen sehr geschmeckt! Die Wirtsleute sind sehr freundlich und geben reichlich Informationen zu den Getränken und Speisen, einschließlich der Erklärung unbekannter Begriffe. Die Speisekarte ist umfangreich und gut erklärt, die Preise sind angemessen. Parkplätze befinden sich in der Nähe, Kartenzahlung ist nicht möglich, nur Barzahlung! Alles in allem ein sehr gelungener Abend und es war mit Sicherheit nicht der letzte Besuch im "Samowar"! Es wird empfohlen zuvor Plätze reservieren da das Restaurant sehr beliebt ist! Mega gemütliches Ambiente - Super freundlicher (ehrlich freundlicher) Service - Komplimente an die Köchinnen - Totaaal leckeres Essen So könnte man die Attribute noch unendlich fortführen. Nicht immer gelingt es uns einen der rar gesäten Plätze zu ergattern, da wir eine relativ spontane kleine Gesellschaft sind. Ist es uns, und das ist meistens der Fall, jedoch gelungen, einen Tisch zu ergattern, dann fühlt man sich wohl, sehr wohl. Das Unternehmen ist nicht nur Inhaber- und Familiengeführt, es strahlt dies auch aus. Futtern wie bei Muttern würde man bei deutscher Küche sagen, der russischen Sprache bin ich diesbezüglich leider nicht in der Lage. Gern essen und trinken wir hier jederzeit, die Portionen sind reichhaltig, nicht überladen, aber auf keinem Fall zu wenig. Unbekannte namentliche Speisen werden bereits auf der Speisekarte super erklärt, aber auch seitens der Bedienung wird hierzu gern eine Erklärung abgegeben. Jederzeit und immer gern wieder, dienstlich, wie auch privat sehr zu empfehlen. Danke, dass es euch gibt. :0)

Gemütliches Lokal mit tollen Ambiente. Essen ist authentisch und lecker und wer einen guten Vodka zu schätzen weiß, ist hier sowieso goldrichtig. Also klare Empfehlungen für einen gelungenen Abend.

Wir kommen so gern in dieses Lokal und werden immer herzlich empfangen, ob in Familie, mit Freunden oder auch alten Klassenkameraden. Auch Kinder sind herzlich willkommen. Es ist inzwischen wie Nachhausekommen 😉. Sven und sein Team sind immer für einen kleinen Plausch zu haben. Man sollte auf Grund der Beliebtheit unbedingt reservieren, da das Lokal klein ist und sehr gemütlich. Sehr empfehlenswert ist Sljodka pod Schuboj (raffiniert geschichteter Heringssalat), was man mindestens 2 Tage vorher bestellen sollte. Aber auch alle anderen Gerichte sind köstlich und werden in der kleinen Küche direkt im Gastraum frisch zubereitet. Alle wichtigen Informationen zu den Öffnungszeiten, Urlaubszeiten und dass ausschließlich Barzahlung möglich ist findet man auf der gut sortierten Internetseite. An zwei Freitagen in unterschiedlicher Besetzung insgesamt begeistert. Kasachisch Pelmeni sind sehr zu empfehlen. Alles wird frisch zubereitet und freundlich serviert. Fragen zu den Speisen werden umfassend beantwortet. Jetzt wissen wir, was es mit gekochten Haselnüssen auf sich hat.

Wir waren zum ersten Mal in diesem wunderschönen, warmen, gemütlichen Restaurant und haben noch am gleichen Abend erneut reserviert. Das Essen war typisch russisch/osteuropäisch und unfassbar lecker. Ebenso toll wie die Atmosphäre und die warmherzige Art von Gastgeber Sven. Einfach ein Erlebnis.

Ich habe lang überlegt ob ich hier meine Bewertung reinschreibe, da ich Menschen kenne die hier Essen gehen und auch selber schon mal hier was essen war. Das Essen ist mit dieser Bewertung nicht gemeint, aber die zwischenmenschliche Erfahrung welche ich hier erlebt habe, lässt einfach nicht ab: Ich wollte für eine gehbehinderte ältere Dame was zum mitnehmen bestellen und zwar eine gute Menge selbstgemachter Pelmenis. Ich wusste das dies untypisch ist, vielleicht sogar sehr komisch nur einzelne Pelmenis zu bestellen, aber dachte ich kann auf Verständnis teffen, was aber passiert ist kann ich noch immer nicht ganz nachvollziehen. Auf meine Frage hin wurde der Inhaber blitzschnell wütend und fing an aggressive Äußerungen von sich zu geben. Ein einfaches Nein hätte gereicht, aber er beschloss seinem Frust freien Lauf zu lassen und mich verbal anzugehen. Ich verstehe nicht wie meine Frage so etwas auslösen konnte. Was kann ich dafür das du keinen guten Tag hattest? Wie konntest du so sehr Kontrolle verlieren, das war nicht professionell! Wenn du dich auf Restaraunt Niveau begeben willst, dann solltest du einen Umgang mit deinen Kunden und deren Bedürfnissen finden und nicht umgekehrt. Für mich war es das letzte mal, an deiner Stelle würde ich mich schämen.

I can't even remember the last time I was treated so well and so warmly! Yesterday, we happened to walk past the restaurant, which already looked inviting from the outside, and decided to go in. We learned it was almost impossible to get in, as it was booked solid for weeks. Nevertheless, the incredibly friendly owner made it possible and transformed a sewing machine into a table! Afterwards, we enjoyed the absolutely delicious food and learned all sorts of interesting facts about the restaurant and a special herring dish that we were also able to try. THIS is what hospitality should be like! Unfortunately, it's far too rare these days. Many thanks to Team Samowar!

I recently visited for the first time. It was lovely. The restaurant has a charming and cozy atmosphere. I immediately felt at ease. We had made a reservation, which was a good thing, as it was packed. The menu offers a very good selection of Russian delicacies. The server took our order very quickly. The food was excellent—delicious and a generous portion. Authentic cuisine. We were all very satisfied. It was freshly cooked and tasted unique. Time flew by. I had never eaten Russian food before, and it's also the only Russian restaurant in Halle. The visit was well worth it and I will definitely return. A very high level of comfort, the entire ambiance, the delicious food, and the very friendly, attentive, and welcoming service. Thank you for a wonderful evening.

I visited the Samowar restaurant and was absolutely thrilled! 🍲 The borscht was incredibly aromatic and perfectly seasoned—exactly as you'd expect. 🥟 The lamb pelmeni were also a real highlight: tender, juicy, and full of flavor. All in all, a thoroughly enjoyable visit—super delicious, fresh, and highly recommended! 👌✨

Now that we've become more or less regular customers, I have to leave a review. The service is personal, warm, welcoming, and always with a wink. The food offers great classics and a selection that allows you to sample Russia's most famous dishes. My husband and I had the wonderful opportunity to celebrate our wedding here. Not only did the wonderful hosts accommodate us with the menu, scheduling, and price – they put a lot of effort into the atmosphere, decor, and traditions. We can only say "thank you!" again and again. To quote a good friend who was there: "The wedding meal was like nothing I've had before!" I especially love "Babushka's Pickles" and the herring, but I can only recommend trying the menu. You can tell that many of the dishes are filled with love and memories that are worth sharing. We enjoy coming back here again and again.

In the footsteps of ... Recently I started reading Russian poets because of my love for my homeland. In the footsteps of Brodsky, who was in the restaurant *Russian Samovar*, I spontaneously decided to visit the restaurant *Samovar" in the city of Halle. And now I want to share my impressions and thoughts with you. Entering the restaurant, I was impressed by the good and warm atmosphere: my favorite birch trees, paintings from Russia, balalaika and of course my favorite stove. Since I was alone, there was a place for me right away. The chef of the restaurant, in a good and cheerful mood, served me. Since I really love pelmeni and borscht, I decided to order and try it. I did not wait long for the food. While the food was being prepared, I met the chef's wife in the restaurant. The chef's wife disposed me to Russian cuisine and culture. We also started talking about the poet Brodsky and why I decided to visit the "samovar". The conversation about poetry and cuisine and culture went great. When the chef brought the pelmeni and borscht, with a smile on his face, I was delighted. At first I started eating with the borscht. In the borscht I felt the subtlety of the broth and beets. And the meat was simply juicy and went well with the borscht. After taking a 5-minute break from eating, I started on the next portion of pelmeni. Oh, my favorite pelmeni - it was something unearthly. When you bite into the pelmeni, the dough is soft and the meat inside is juicy, soft. Many thanks to the chef and his wife for their great efforts and services. I was delighted. Who knows where the next song of Russian culture will take me ...

Always great! Service, ambience and quality of the food - outstanding! An authentic, family-run restaurant with attention to detail. The food is always freshly cooked in the small kitchen in the restaurant and the selection of drinks is always surprising, even outside the menu! The pelmenis are always great - my favorites are the "Kazakh" ones. I don't even want to start with the Riga Gold, the Chebureki's, the blinis and the ice cream variations. Great vodka selection and lots of unexpected surprises like the Armenian brandies. What can I say - YOU HAVE TO GO THERE!!

We are spending the weekend in Halle for a concert and came across this restaurant. What I can say: TOP! A really great restaurant with incredibly good Russian cuisine! You notice that everything you are served is handmade and prepared according to traditional recipes. The Pelmeni are a poem! It's also quite big, so you have to be really hungry for the XL portion. The selection of vodka is really good compared to other restaurants (I'm referring to Cologne because that's where we come from)! The fact that a “large” bottle (500 g or 0.5 liters) costs 40 to 45 euros is absolutely normal in the catering industry and there is no reason to say that this is too expensive. We ate and drank a lot, we thought it was really nice with you. Since we wanted to sit outside, we were able to do so immediately upon request! You don't have that everywhere, most of the time you just get “No, the beer garden is closed”. Not at all here, the young man who served us, set up the table for us and was not above entertaining us outside, even though we were the only ones sitting there. Great hospitality, there is NOTHING to complain about here. We are going back to Cologne with a great impression of you! Thank you very much and keep it up!

Top Top Top!!! It was a pleasure to stop by the great restaurant again and treat yourself to delicious food and beer (Balticum 6)! The ambience is great, the service is very attentive and the family management means everything works together great! No matter what you order, it's worth the money, but if you don't like coriander, you should definitely mention it before ordering, because some dishes contain it ;) We'll come back and make reservations!

I was in your restaurant and was shocked by the menu... how can there be Russian borscht when it is a Ukrainian dish... My rating corresponds to your restaurant. Thank you for your reply. But it is not truthful and not correct. Because of your ignorance of the culture. That is why I gave you such an assessment. I don't need to give examples on Wikipedia etc. In Russia, cabbage is cooked with water and it is called shchi dish and not like borsch. Good luck

That was a great new experience. There were 5 of us there, we ate herring salad, chicken salad, borscht, solyanka, pelmeni and it was all absolutely delicious. The price was right too. Wasn't too expensive. We had this Lager 7 beer and the vodka was a blast. We'll definitely go there again. One star deducted from the ambience for the quite dominant smell of incense sticks and kitchen. But ultimately not that bad.

Another wonderful evening in the rustic Samovar restaurant. The meals were excellent and freshly prepared. I would particularly like to recommend the Bortschtsch and the Utro Rasputina - to die for! Great wine and excellent vodka were recommended to us. The prices are more than fair considering the quality. Definitely go there. We'll definitely do it!

Pelmeni war einfach nur lecker. Original mit saurer Sahne und Vegetarisch mit Käsesoße, davor gab grüne Oliven. Alles aufgegessen mit russische Bier und Wodka. Besitzer war sehr freundlich und wir haben uns wohlgefühlt. Tisch war etwas zu dunkel und wir mussten etwas lange warten. Dafür wissen wir, dass alle Speisen frisch gekocht wird. Danke 🙃

Kann man nur empfehlen!! Sehr leckeres Essen nach traditioneller russischer Art und eine freundliche Bedienung mit Hintergrundwissen. P. S.: Es ist sehr liebevoll eingerichtet. Besonders die Sitzecke mit russischen Ofen lädt allein schon zum Verweilen ein.

Das Essen ist einfach immer lecker, der Service ist sehr freundlich und das ambiente familiär und echt Russisch. Immer wieder zu empfehlen. Es empfiehlt sich zwar eine vorherige Reservierung, aber man kann auch mal ohne Voranmeldung Glück haben. Auch preislich in diesen Zeiten absolut ok.

Die kleinen Räume sind sehr gemütlich eingerichtet, sodass wir uns gleich wohl fühlten. Die Bedienung wahr sehr freundlich und immer zur Stelle ohne aufdringlich zu sein. Zu den Speisen kann ich nur sagen. Alles was wir bestellt hatten war sehr lecker und frisch zubereitet.
