Wir waren heute zum Schnitzeltag da. Das Essen war gut, die Preise sind angemessen und die Bedienung war super freundlich und Aufmerksam. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder wenn wir mal wieder in Halle sind.

Wir waren nachmittags auf einen Aperitif/Cocktail/Kaltgetränk zu Gast, sowohl Bier, als auch Aperol und Lillet haben alle gut geschmeckt, würden auch jeden Fall wieder kommen

War als Gast in Halle und habe eine Gaststätte gesucht wo ich im Freien sitzen kann und ein gezapftes Bier trinken kann,was nicht einfach ist bei der Multikulti Gastronomie zwischen Bahnhof und Markt. Zum Glück gibt es "Zum Brotkasten". Hier stimmt für mich alles. Ich werde wiederkommen.

Gemütliches sehr ruhiges Ambiente wo du dich auch entspannt unterhalten kannst während du aufs Essen wartest. Die Portionen hatten wirklich eine ordentliche Größe und waren sehr Schmackhaft. Vorsicht beim großen Würzfleisch als Vorspeise. Es ist wirklich eine groß Portion als Vorspeise. Die Bedienung war sehr nett und geduldig mit uns. 😅 Hier esse ich auf jeden Fall wieder. Ich hatte das große Würzfleisch und das Schnitzel mit Champignons und Bratkartoffeln.

Das Restaurant zählt zu den Kleineren. Dafür sind die angebotenen Speisen und Getränke top. Die Servicemitarbeiterin ist sehr freundlich gewesen und macht auch mal einen Spaß mit. Das sorgt für eine sehr gute Atmosphäre. Es gibt gute solide deutsche Küche!

Früher habe ich dieses Restaurant geliebt, weil der Service schnell und die Preise angemessen waren. Neulich war ich mit Freunden dort, und wir mussten über eine Stunde auf unser Essen warten. Die Preise waren von etwa 15/16 Euro auf 19/20 Euro gestiegen, und der Service entsprach dem überhaupt nicht mehr.

Gemütlich, gutes Essen, wenn auch hauptsächlich Schweinefleischgerichte. Wir mussten lange auf unser Essen warten, aber das Personal ist sehr freundlich.

Sehr gute Hausmannskost, frisch zubereitet. @Fel ix man kann jetzt mit allen Karten bezahlen.

Ich war über die NeoTaste App schon 2 mal hier und es war geschmacklich beide Male super, beim 2. Mal war der Laden recht voll und die Dame hat uns schon darauf hingewiesen das es mit dem Essen etwas länger dauern kann (war für uns kein Problem). Ich habe jeweils ein Schnitzel mit Pilzen (Pfifferlinge und Steinpilze) gegessen was Preislich zwar mit ca 22€ nicht sehr günstig aber geschmacklich wie gesagt super war.

Wir lieben den Brotkasten, wir lieben die Bedienung, wir lieben das Essen! Hier passt das Preis-Leistungs Verhältnis. Der Service ist höflich, schnell und sehr aufmerksam. Ich liebe das Hähnchenschnitzel mit Rahmchampions. Wir kommen gern wieder.

In die Jahre gekommene Gaststätte die aber vollends mit seiner Frischen Küche und den super Servicekräften überzeugt.

Unfortunately, we cannot recommend this restaurant. It was supposed to be a nice evening, a family gathering. We reserved a table six weeks ago for 6 pm so we could eat relatively early. We didn't receive our food until around 8:30 pm! The last of us didn't get our food until 8:45 pm. The server seemed completely overwhelmed and had excuses for everything, which was very unpleasant. When we inquired about our food around 8 pm, we were told the kitchen staff needed a break. 😳 People who had arrived after us had already finished eating and were about to leave. We were hungry, and the air in the restaurant was awful because all the smells from the kitchen permeated the entire place. Our hair, our clothes, everything now reeks of the kitchen and grease. The food itself wasn't worth the long wait. Some of the dishes were cold, the ingredients were cheap, and the presentation was sloppy. My salad was drowned in balsamic dressing and therefore inedible. The cauliflower listed on the menu wasn't there; instead, we had some unidentifiable thing wrapped in pastry. We could barely eat any of it, and it was far too late. What a waste of our hard-earned money. When we left, we felt sick and weren't even full. Perhaps they should just focus on their regulars, whom they seem to favor, as they don't appear to need new customers. We definitely don't recommend this place; in fact, we advise against visiting.

We went to Brotkasten for dinner around 6:30 pm with our two-year-old. We just barely managed to get a table; otherwise, it was fully booked for Thursday evening. We usually eat Italian food... The ambiance is nice; "East German pub" is a pretty good description. Very cozy. The menu listed dark beer "on tap." Delicious, I thought. So I quickly ordered some classic East German dishes: breaded sausage with noodles for the child (a hefty €15.99) and a steak "au four" for me, a hungry man (€20.99!). After almost 90 minutes (!!!!) and two more draft beers, the disappointment set in. The food was carelessly thrown together, no decoration, no flavor... Disgusting, overpriced, but we were hungry. As we were leaving, we witnessed firsthand that the Spaten beer, the dark draft beer, was being poured from bottles behind the bar. Fantastic! 👍🏼 €70 for this evening? Next time, I'll just order pizza 🍕 to my accommodation. Breadbox = death box Sorry, but that was awful 😠

Reserved for Halloween 2025. Lovely inn with very good, and more importantly, fresh, handmade food. You could hear it being prepared. Very friendly and excellent service. What more can I say except thank you to the whole team for a wonderful visit? See you again! 👍

We were there on a Saturday, had reserved a table for four people plus a baby, and were given a table with a bench upon request so the baby could lie between us. The service was incredibly friendly and accommodating; the server even brought toys for the little one. All four of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals (schnitzel with a fried egg, schnitzel with porcini mushrooms, and schnitzel on bread), and we highly recommend them. The porcini mushrooms were exceptionally delicious! All in all, a wonderful experience. We would definitely return and highly recommend this restaurant.

Today was my fourth day eating here. Everything I ordered was absolutely delicious. The service was incredibly friendly and attentive. It's definitely worth spending time here. Reservations are recommended. I've rarely had such a consistently delicious meal. Greetings from Bavaria!

burnt schnitzel and mushy, tasteless chanterelles

We visited the Zum Brotkasten restaurant as a family on a warm Friday evening. We had made a reservation, and it was quite busy. The atmosphere was cozy, although our table was separated by a parasol, which was a bit of a shame. The service was friendly, and the menu offered a wide selection of classic German cuisine. A major drawback was the long wait of 1 hour and 20 minutes. So, we expected fresh and, above all, delicious food. Basically, everything was solid, with little wow factor, but delicious. Unfortunately, the venison goulash with macaroni was a complete disappointment: Firstly, the consistency of the sauce was completely watery and tasted that way, too. Secondly, the presentation on a regular plate was very unflattering for eating. The meat was tender, but there was also a lot of fat on it, so the goulash had little character and consisted only of regular noodles and a bit of meat. The seasoned meat was also rather meager and mushy, although it was a matter of taste. We would therefore not recommend the restaurant and would not come back again, which is a shame.

For us, this is the best schnitzel recommendation in Halle and, in terms of quality, service, and price, significantly better than the nearby restaurant that supposedly specializes in it.

Were eating on Monday to 6th in the evening. Rappelable booth inside and outside, a good sign for a Monday. Thanks to the reservation, we were placed immediately. Super nice service. Cold beer, hot coffee, just as it should be. Completely problem -free food order despite x extra requests from the women. Class advice and recommendations. Then we had a lot of time to admire the ambience (only criticism - the waiting time). Essen came to the table for everyone at the same time and hot. (of course on plates😇). Plenty and tasty, also for the eye. Severance was also given at any time. For the dear service staff, the good location, the beautiful ambience and the delicious food, the bill was surprisingly cheap. Gladly again.

Very good food five stars from Austria

We were here for the first time today and we were absolutely thrilled. The lovely ambiance and the super-friendly staff were absolutely fantastic. The price/performance ratio was absolutely satisfactory, and it was very positive that the chef took the time to listen to our suggestions for minor improvements. He welcomed these suggestions and is keen to implement them. Furthermore, the waitress was very attentive to our child, even though she was the only one serving him. All in all, they were polite, honest, and very family-friendly. Thank you to your entire team, and we will definitely be back.

Wir sind seit jahren hier immer mal wieder essen. Man muss aber sagen das es sich immer weiter verbessert! Die speisen sind immer ein Genuss Preisleistung optimal werden diesen sommer öfter kommen :)

A must for anyone who enjoys schnitzel, roulade, or a farmer's breakfast. The young team does a wonderful job, implementing new ideas and providing excellent service. We keep coming back.

The food is consistently delicious and absolutely reasonably priced. I would especially like to emphasize the warm welcome and friendly service. I'll be happy to come back!

Seating very cramped. I smelled like a deep fryer afterwards and had to wash everything. The service alternated between a commanding tone and feigned friendliness. Schnitzel was dry, peas tasteless, no sauce. Never again, it was simply an imposition.

No matter when, no matter where, no matter how often you call, no one answers. We went to the restaurant several times and found ourselves standing in front of the closed doors, even though the opening times are marked as open. The food tastes really delicious. Service staff a 0 - when my parents were alive, we used to go a lot I like to eat there but that has also worn off. It's a shame. The restaurant used to be run with love. Today it's just a matter of rolling eyes. The customer is king. We never have this feeling in the restaurant. 0 stars and for the last time !!!!rip Brotkasten the memories remain unforgettable from back then ♡

Rustic, delicious German cuisine. At “Zum Brotkasten” traditional German cuisine is served in a rustic atmosphere. The menu offers solid dishes such as Schnitzel and Strammer Max. The service is friendly and the atmosphere is relaxed. Ideal for an uncomplicated meal.

We have been regular guests for years (see post by Matthias Wolter 5 months ago via Google) For the first time, last Saturday, we were not cooked for by the chef 😟 (Sick) Unfortunately we noticed that visually and tastewise 😏 What the pike-perch was too pale ( was hardly seasoned), the cheese from the steak au four is too dark (dry and the meat too firm). You can only hope and wish that the "NEW" gets some tips from the "OLD" 😉😘 and you can say ☝️ The “NEW” can do it too 👍🙂 Greetings from the Wolter/Nachtigall family 😘🤩

Very nice, cozy I actually wanted something with chicken... But it was out at 7 p.m. Then had tomato feta gratinated... for €11.90 For a few tomatoes and a bit of feta, it's sporty. Unfortunately the place smelled of chip fat... I still smelled it in my clothes the next day... It's good, ambience is nice.

Stopover on the way to the market. A coffee, a tea, both delicious. Next time I'll stop by for dinner.
