Das Essen wird immer frisch zu bereitet und ist sehr lecker. Es gibt wirklich eine gute Auswahl an Speisen und es lohnt sich auch anderes, außer das Schnitzel, zu probieren. Das Personal ist mega freundlich, auch wenn das Restaurant mega besetzt ist. Wirklich ein tolle Team.

Wir waren kürzlich in diesem kroatischen Restaurant. Leider hat uns das Ambiente nicht überzeugt – es wirkte eher lieblos und wenig einladend. Das Essen war insgesamt in Ordnung, bis auf das Hackfleisch mit Schafskäse, das uns nicht geschmeckt hat. Zudem hatten mein Mann und ich nach dem Besuch mit Verdauungsproblemen zu kämpfen, vermutlich war das Essen zu fettig. Insgesamt eine eher durchwachsene Erfahrung.

Nette Athmosphäre und freundliche Bedienung. Pommes leider zu weich und Hacksteak hätte auch etwas mehr Hitze vertragen können. Daher nicht volle 5 Sterne. Aber trotzdem zu empfehlen.

Haben dtaussen gesessen und gegessen. War gut und reichlich.Leider kaum vegetarische Gerichte.

Gutes Lokal. Der Service ist okay, könnte aber freundlicher sein. Man muss nicht lange auf das Essen warten. Das Essen ist gut, das Fleisch etwas trocken. Die Portionen sind in Ordnung.

Super tolles Restaurant! Hier waren wir auf jeden Fall nicht das letzte Mal! Der Service ist seit langem wieder einmal geschultes Personal vom Fach. Muss man ganz klar sagen. Das Essen ging schnell und war sehr lecker! Die Preise mehr als fair! Wir haben auf jeden Fall einen neuen Stamm Kroaten gefunden zu dem wir gehen. Update am 13.03.2026 das Essen ist immer noch super lecker 😋 wir kommen immer sehr gerne zum Essen.

Das Essen war sehr gut, der Service ebenfalls. Ein kleiner Wermutstropfen waren die vergessenen Schnecken als Vorspeise. Das bewerte ich jedoch nun nicht negativ. Weihnachtsfeiertag, viel Betrieb - das tat das Seinige dazu. Also nicht schlimm. Dafür war die Gänsekeule und der Nachtisch (Strudel mit Vanilleeis) seeehr lecker. Empfehlenswertes Lokal.

This was an excellent restaurant experience. We happened to be here on our flight to South Africa from Frankfurt. The restaurant is simply fantastic. The atmosphere is inviting. The menu offers a wide selection. The service is courteous and welcoming. Genuine Croatian ladies are very attentive. Highly recommended.

Friendly, courteous service. The price/performance ratio is okay. The food was very good. The salad buffet is excellent. You can help yourself to as much as you like. There are three different dressings available. The salad is always freshly refilled. I recommend the restaurant.

An excellent Croatian restaurant with a special flair: high-quality, delicious food and a rich salad buffet. The waiters are all very friendly and attentive. In winter, the restaurant is served in a rustic, beautiful gallery on the first floor, which also features a long balcony. In summer, a large terrace is available on the ground floor. Important for those with walking difficulties: the restrooms are also located on the ground floor, making it wheelchair accessible. We discovered this restaurant through the Schlemmerblock magazine, which has named it one of the best restaurants annually since 2017.

Everything was just perfect here. A super cozy atmosphere, excellent food (we were there on schnitzel day), and excellent service. Super friendly. You feel at home here. We'll be back 😊

Unfortunately, the grilled meat was inedible. The meat was so dry it was almost impossible to chew. The salad bar was very limited. Luckily, we had the gourmet block, otherwise we would have been even more annoyed. Our complaint about the food was met with the words: "I'll let the chef know." Unfortunately, not recommended!

How anyone can find it good here is a complete mystery to me. You shouldn't have any demands when it comes to food and taste and otherwise only eat ready meals and frozen food. We were here because of the many good reviews and, following our first impulse, the best thing to do when entering was to turn around straight away. It's all very old and in desperate need of an overhaul. The smoke still hangs in the curtains from the times when smoking was still allowed in restaurants. The salad bar is a great idea, but there are only ready-made salads. The cevapcici...are ready frozen products as well as the minced meat with feta. Cheapest products are used here. The Croatian rice lacks any flavor or seasoning. All in all, it was really very disappointing and a waste of money despite mobile vouchers. The waitress seemed very resigned and uninterested in the statements that it didn't taste good. Still asked twice if she should pack the rest. We definitely won't be seeing it again next time and we would strongly recommend using Google and Schlemmerblock to test it out for yourself. Especially since it has already won several awards at Schlemmerblock. Absolutely incomprehensible to us.

We always enjoy visiting Holzwurm. We've been going there since we were young. Everything is very warm and you feel welcome.

Small, cozy, rustic, lovingly furnished. The guesthouse can be reached via stairs on the 1st floor with a terrace. In summer there is an outdoor area without barriers on the ground floor. The meal takes a while (we were 9 people), but it is very tasty and sufficient. You can help yourself at the salad bar in advance, which is included in the price. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Finally there was a traditional warm Slipovic on the house. We were all very satisfied and would come back.

We recently ate at Holzwurm. We still know the restaurant from before. We were again pleasantly pleased with how good the service and quality of the food was. There is a salad buffet so every guest has a free choice. We can only warmly recommend the restaurant. We would be happy to come back.

From the outside it looks inconspicuous, but inside there is a very good Croatian hidden on the first floor. The service is friendly and attentive, the food is very good. Vegetarians are also catered for. There is also a separate salad buffet where you can put together your own salad.

Wir waren als Team essen. Im Vorfeld hat man uns angeboten bei der Größe unserer Gruppe (ca. 50 Personen) an einem Abend nur für uns zu öffnen. Speisen für ein Buffet inklusive Salatbar auszuwählen. Dieser Empfehlung sind wir gefolgt und jetzt bleibt nur Danke zu sagen für einen sehr schönen und gelungenen Abend. Speisen waren lecker und reichlich, wenn etwas leer war wurde sofort nachgefüllt. Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr freundlich und man hat es uns ermöglicht eigene Musik abzuspielen. Platz zum Tanzen geschaffen. Besseren, kundenfreundlicheren Service gibt es nicht. Nochmals großes Lob und Danke.

Very cozy, good service, and the food was very good, except for the grilled chicken fillet. It was like a shoe sole, thin and so dry that it was almost impossible to swallow. I've had many chicken fillets in other restaurants; they were thicker, juicier, and tasted much better.

Hello dear ones, I've just been eating woodworm food for a long time and unfortunately I noticed that it has diminished in the entire area. The food was OK, but nothing special. A farmer's schnitzel with fried potatoes was nothing more than a cordon bleu filled only with sheep's cheese. As I said, you could eat it, but I imagined it to be something else. Then, as before, I waited until you ordered the bill to receive your Slivovitz. The dessert menu came in advance, where he then stands on it to order it. I think that's a shame, because it used to be standard, like ouzo in Greek... Maybe I expected too much, who knows?

Quality, price and service are very good here. The salad bar is a bit of a change from other restaurants. The selection is also quite good.

The restaurant “Zum Holzwurm” is a place where you can have a lovely meal, but also quickly get something home. I think the quality is consistently very good, whether it's schnitzel, salad or other dishes. We are always very satisfied and requests and extras have always been addressed. The ladies on site do a great job and are always friendly.

We came here straight from the airport, arriving at 21:41 for dinner, as the website states they serve warm food until 22:00. We were greeted with “we are closing”. So not cool! We were really hoping to try the delicious food😢

The food disappointing. The dishes were not balanced at all, sometimes very well done, sometimes completely without color and lifeless. Given two chances and not satisfied twice. Service staff rather stiff and disinterested.

I've been here several times. Tuesdays in particular are a good time to visit for a schnitzel.

Were there for the first time. Spacious ambience, very crowded and therefore very loud. Private conversations are still possible. First of all, after being assigned to the table, we were forgotten. Red wine Plavac very flat in taste. Starter scampi was drowned in cream sauce and the taste of the scampi was no longer possible. The salad buffet is no longer refilled after 8 p.m., so leftovers are the order of the day. Rump steak good medium, but product not of high quality, not for denture wearers. House plate very plentiful, fries and rice unfortunately cold. No Slivovitz was served with the bill like at other tables. Will we come back? Rather not.

A very nice restaurant in Raunheim. The 4 ladies in service are super friendly and super attentive. The food is always good, plentiful and reasonably priced. No matter whether Tuesday on Schnitzel Day, Thursday on Pleskavija Day or anything else on the menu. Everything was super tasty and highly recommended. Please keep it up.

Long-established Yugoslavian restaurant with very tasty food

Although the restaurant is open until 11:00 p.m., we were greeted at 8:00 p.m. with the words: "The kitchen is too ". We were speechless about the "welcome" and left again. Is not recommended and we won't be coming back!! Unfortunately we have to give one star, otherwise we can't give our opinion.

I had a spontaneous meal there this evening with my uncle and grandpa. Food was very tasty and reminded me of my last vacation in Croatia. Service is very nice and accommodating. Ambience was very cozy and as expected when visiting Croatians. Definitely coming back. Had 3 drinks and 3 main courses and paid a total of €50.80. Price performance was totally right.

There are indoor/outdoor seats (I didn't go inside), and all the staff were friendly. The food portions were large, and my two kids, who love meat, ate everything up. It was too salty for my taste. There was a separate salad bar, so I liked that I could choose according to my taste.
