Bavarian-Austrian kitchen buffet in a rustic hotel restaurant The Heurige belongs to the Hotel Das Ludwig in the thermal and golf resort of Bad Griesbach. This retort town has a whole range of restaurants and shops for holidaymakers, spa guests and golfers. The restaurant operates on a buffet system. You can pick up your own starters, many main courses, salads and desserts at the counter, and the waiter serves other orders and drinks. We chose the Ludwig because of the daily changing offerings - on Fridays they serve oven-fresh pork knuckles. I got myself a crispy knuckle, chose a dumpling, coleslaw and a little indefinable brown instant sauce. The knuckle was of very good quality: crispy on the outside and juicy and tender on the inside. But that was all that was good. Dumplings, coleslaw and sauce (convenience) were at canteen level. Given the lack of alternatives, my wife opted for a baked Camembert, as the industrially produced molded schnitzels at the next table really curbed her culinary curiosity. It wasn't a big surprise that the fried cheese lived up to the low expectations - only the Bavarian potato salad shone as a side dish. Conclusion: Self-service restaurant with convenience offers in a rustically designed restaurant with a small beer garden. I wonder if the self-service concept arose from a lack of staff? In my opinion there is more potential there. The 3-point rating is solely due to the good knuckle!

Today I specifically went to “Zum Heurigen” because there was live music there from 7 p.m. I was looking forward to a nice, hearty evening. When I got there, I was told by the waitress that the entire outdoor area was reserved for a group of golfers. I could only get a table in the back room. So I took the table assigned to me in the far corner of the restaurant. My food and drink were delivered quickly. There's nothing wrong with the food. When the live music started, I realized that you could hardly hear it in the back room. There was no transmission via loudspeaker. I asked the waitress to give me a seat closer to the front so I could hear some of the music I had come to the restaurant to see. This was rejected by her; after all, the golf group had reserved the inner courtyard. So, disappointed, I paid and went back to my accommodation. I would have liked to stay until the end of the music group's season, but the stubborn behavior of the waitress prevented this. I don't know if I will ever visit this restaurant again. The food didn't really convince me that much.

The hospitality, attentive service and very good menu make you feel like you're in good hands.

Great service, the boss serves himself. Great value for money. Food is simply great. If you like it hearty, we're already looking forward to the next visit

Nice ambience, friendly staff, live music was nice too. I didn't like the schnitzel. The fried potatoes were cold and oily. The salad bar was quite good.

I can only recommend it, everything is freshly cooked and you can also watch.

When we are in Griesbach, a visit to Paul's wine tavern is a must. The food is really good and the friendliness of the staff completes the evening.

Very tasty and great staff. We had schnitzel with fries & onion roast with fried potatoes. If you don't like caraway seeds, you should be warned, there are some in the fried potatoes. Staff is cheerful, helpful and quick in service. The ambience is typically Bavarian and rustic.

Eine wirklich liebevoll eingerichtete Wirtschaft, mit einem super Service und leckerem Essen.

Sehr schöner Abend im "Heurigen". Essen sehr gut und zu sehr angenehmen Preisen. Äußerst nette und kompetente Bedienung (Herr Schubert). Haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Werden ganz sicher wieder kommen. Absolute Empfehlung!

Ambiente urig und Bedienung sehr freundlich! Das Essen enttäuschte, haben uns mehr typisch bayrisches vorgestellt, war leider nicht so!

Wir waren Freitag "den 13." Oktober zu sechst im Heurigen. Die 13 ist ab sofort unsere Glückszahl. Service, Essen und Ambiente echt super. Vielen Dank für den schönen Abend. Es tut echt gut ein Team zu erleben, das noch Lust und "Bock" auf Gastronomie hat. Familie Zetzsch von der Historischen Gastwirtschaft Pfeffersack aus Freiberg.

Sehr urige Kneipe , sehr freundliche und aufmerksame Bedienung

Alles soweit ok, bis auf das das während ich noch schlief 2 mal Putzfrauen rein kamen ohne das ich ein Schild raus hing . Heute komm ich von frühstücken plötzlich seh ich meine Zimmer Tür war offen und es wurde geputzt obwohl ich kein Schild raus hing ,!!!?! ,meine ganzen privaten Sachen lagen rum weil ich sicher nicht damit gerechnet habe das die ohne Erlaubnis mein zimmer betreten oder rum wühlen das find ich echt eine Unverschämtheit das geht mal garnicht meiner meinung .

Grosse Auswahl am Buffet an verschiedenen Vorspeisen, die sehr appetitlich präsentiert werden. Auch die Hauptspeisen sind sehr ansprechend. Uns hat es sehr gut geschmeckt. 👍 Und der Service verdient ebenfalls grosses Lob. Sind nicht zum ersten und letzten Mal hier.

Wir haben 6Tage in Bad Griesbach verbracht und waren davon 2x im Restaurant ,"Heurigen "zu Gast. ...Super Bedienung durch Paul der den Gast perfekt mit Buffet und a la carte vertraut macht....er ist charmant und aufmerksam zugleich ,Küche super man fühlt sich wie in Wien....gern weiter so....LG Angela und Horst

Sehr gut geführtes Gasthaus mit schönem Ambiente und sehr gutem Essen

Kann die Meinungen der anderen nicht teilen, dass Schnitzel, war aus meiner Sicht ein Fertigschnitzel kurz in der Fritteuse warm gemacht. Es war in 5min fertig und sehr dünn, die Panade war so perfekt, dass dies nur industriell gemacht sein kann. Schade, hab mir etwas mehr erhofft. Aber ein großes Lob an die Dekorationen des Lokals.

Super Restaurant mit freundlichem Service und was sehr hervor zu heben ist, sind die speisen, die immer frisch zubereitet werden. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Nette Gastwirtschaft nette aufmerksame Kellner. Ochsenteak und Schnitzel waren sehr gut nur die Beilagen Pommes und Bratkartoffeln waren kalt daher ein Punkt Abzug. Als Entschuldigung gabs Schnaps aufs Haus Alles gut

Wir waren 5 Tage im Hotel ludwig davon 3 Tage im heurigen beim essen so gut haben wir selten gegessen. Vielen Dank für den tollen Service und für das gute Essen 😀

Das heurige ist jeden Cent Wert. Das essen ist super lecker und der Service mindestens 5 Sterne Wert. Wir freuen uns jetzt schon nächstes Jahr wieder zu kommen. Vielen Dank für die 3 tollen Abend essen. 😀

Super urige Lokalität. Nette Bedienung.Hier fühlt man sich gleich gut aufgehoben. Essen und Getränke sind sehr gut. Preis /Leistung ist stimmig. Wenn wir wieder in Bad Griesbach sind, wird das Lokal unsere Nummer 1 sein.
