Zum Flößer in Oranienburg

We were there last Saturday, April 26th. Went there again and were surprised by the quality of the food. Unlike the times before, where it wasn't bad, but on this day it was really great. Maybe there were just different cooks at work. The service was also so friendly and nice, I had to give it a positive compliment! Keep it up!

We drove the long distance into town to eat here. On the homepage it says opening times until 8 p.m. When we were there at 6:15 p.m. they said the kitchen was closing soon and they could only offer drinks. We then drove to another restaurant, also open until 8 p.m. We got there at 6:40 p.m. and were able to order until 8 p.m. So I won't go here again. They should say if they want to close at 6 p.m.

Visit on May 1st. The operation was totally chaotic. The staff was let down by management and had to organize themselves. The guests helped bring back the glasses and pick up the drinks. None of the managing directors were present. Waiting time 3 hours. Food was ok, but not like before, but the portions were much smaller. The landlord is obviously not interested and passes the guests' frustration onto his staff. Many guests canceled their orders and left. In the future, the location will probably not suffer from overcrowding. It doesn't matter, the landlord seems to be full. I only feel sorry for the employees who have to bear the burden.

Disappointing experience on May 1st - never again! On May 1st we visited the Zum Flößer restaurant in great weather - unfortunately a big mistake. The service was completely disorganized: after over an hour we finally got our drinks, which were supposed to hold 0.5 liters, but were only half full. After a whopping 2.5 hours of waiting for our food, there was still no sign of it. When we asked, no one could tell us if and when the food would even be served. We understand the well-known challenges in the catering industry, but what we experienced here was beyond good and evil: chaotic, unstructured and absolutely unacceptable. After a total of three hours of waiting, we left the restaurant hungry - without even seeing a starter. One thing is certain for us: This was our first and last visit to the Flößer.

We were there today for a bike ride and we were met by guests who complained about the service. The beers came quickly, we asked after the farmer's breakfast and it actually wasn't even in the pan after an hour. This was also the case with the other guests. Many stood up and after half an hour they hadn't even been asked what they would like to order. Some guests went into the restaurant themselves and picked up drinks and food. Even the payment was miserably failed... Unfortunately, it is also noticeable here that good restaurants are hard to find. We will prefer other destinations with other restaurants and will come back when the chaos is over 🧐

We arrived today in a good mood around 12:15 p.m. Our parents had already managed to get a table for us. Although the summer weather was great, there weren't quite as many guests there as usual on Ascension Day. We were looking forward to a cool blonde drink, but we were only able to express our drink requests after almost an hour. So my husband became the house waiter by helping to bring back glasses and serve. We had to wait a good two hours for our food after threatening to leave the restaurant. There was absolute chaos among the service staff and in the kitchen. They were completely overwhelmed and left alone by the management. Beer ran out, coffee machine failed. Many guests went home hungry after a long, patient wait. After waiting almost three hours, we were disappointed with the food. Weakly seasoned, small portions, burnt onions at the farmer's breakfast. We won't be returning anytime soon. Too bad!

We were there for lunch today because those actually in charge had forgotten everything at home that would have been needed for a decent meal of their own. And I wasn't the only one who was pleased: (1) The Ossi-style Jägerschnitzel was excellent and original; Thanks to the cook, he did a good job: As I know it from the GDR, quite excellent. (2) The farmer's breakfast was praised by a dedicated farmer's breakfast connoisseur, I had already eaten it myself, and you can hardly replace a proper farmer's breakfast like that. (3) The fish was also very good, I learned; And I believe the experienced fish eater, even though I'm not a fan of fish at all. (4) The fact that the child didn't like the tomato sauce wasn't because of the sauce; That was also on the Jägerschnitzel, and it was exactly as it should be. (5) The lemon wedge in the large water initially seemed excessive to me, but as it progressed it turned out to be noticeably tasty. (6) This restaurant, unlike many companies in the IT industry, has a culture of errors that is impressive: At first it seemed as if our order had been taken incompletely. -- Instead of delivering some possibly incorrect order: I asked again to clarify the situation, which was successful: it turned out that nothing had been recorded incorrectly at all, and as a QA guy I was very pleased with how cleanly they work when things are unclear. (7) I can only recommend this. You can tie up cars, bicycles or horses there, whatever you want, and in the summer you can also sit outside. (8) And as I said, they can cook there. I enjoyed it excellently.

On Christmas Day we ate very tasty duck, goose and an excellent salad. Extras like fries for the vegetarians were no problem. The prices were reasonable.

A nice, rustic spot. We sat under the little house on the pond in October when the weather was beautiful. It took a little longer to wait for the super tasty and fresh food, but it was worth the wait. We'd love to come back. A little tip for light eaters: take a tupperware with you to take the leftovers with you.

We were there on September 23rd. I cycled here from Bötzow and were thrilled. A super nice service person (from Thuringia) served us very warmly and always had a funny saying ready. The only sad thing is that after three bouts of cancer, she still has to work in this country at the age of 70. We wish you all the best. The food was very tasty. Small but nice menu, crunchy fresh vegetables and huge portions. We had the raftsman steak, highly recommended. The manager of the house keeps order in the parking lot (which is ok), but in a rather strict, bitter tone. This can also be done differently if you want guests to come back.

Down-to-earth and honest cuisine in a rustic atmosphere. Prices reasonable. Nothing fancy.

After being disappointed several times with the service, it's 5 stars again. No wonder when the weather is nice in the beer garden with friendly service and good food.

Update September 2024: Still fully recommended - we just had a really good time here again on a Sunday bike ride for lunch. -- Great inn run with heart. Rustic home cooking (not necessarily the first choice for vegetarians), attentive service and a really nice rural atmosphere. The beer garden is huge, the dining room is not small and there is also a large, cozy wooden hut in the yard for celebrations. Outside, however, when the sun is really hot, finding a place in the shade becomes a lottery. But once you find it, Berliner Weisse tastes great. The whole family helps out with service while the fresh asparagus is being peeled inside. Many regional delicacies can be found on the menu. And strawberry punch (at least in season). Funny detail: there is a horse parking lot. And plenty of space for bicycles to take a break here on the tour along the Berlin-Copenhagen cycle path.

Very nice restaurant, the service is also very nice. Prices are reasonable. We would love to come back.

Absolutely wrong!!! What a shame about the beautiful beer garden! We ordered 2 beers... we were a bit rushed to order food. Since I'm very skeptical and know what good food is, I didn't want to order anything. My partner, out of decency, ordered the spiced meat. I already knew what was coming. Canned food refined with meat. Cucumber salad and white cabbage are served as a side dish. None of it was homemade. By the way, for €6.90!!!! The best thing was that the waitress kept pushing me to order food. I asked for a portion of fries as they weren't on the menu. She said they cost 6 euros. I looked at her irritated and said no thanks. I'll stick to beer. I think 3.50 would have done it too. Then, out of pity, I ordered a plum cake that was advertised as “from the sheet.” When it came I thought it was a joke. TK cake!!!!!!! Nothing metal! And then the cheap one that only tastes like flour. I was shocked. Then I ate the plums and cream. She asked me if it didn't taste good. I said no. I wanted the sheet cake and not a frozen cake. I immediately asked for the bill. Clearly there was no tip for me. I said 19 and gave her 20... She said thank you and just wanted to leave. I shouted after her that I would get another euro. As soon as I had it we left. Conclusion: Nice garden for drinking beer! But you can get this ready-made meal cheaper at home!

Thanks to the recommendation of a dear colleague, we went to the restaurant by bike today, even though it wasn't right around the corner... a 32 km tour :-). At first the ambience takes some getting used to, no cushions on the chairs and the grass is ankle high. But we felt really comfortable thanks to the friendly welcome from the ladies and waiters with flip-flops who were ready for any fun. And most importantly, the food... very tasty and plentiful. Thank you very much for that and we'll be happy to come back :-)

It's easy, but very warm...no matter whether you're sitting outside in nature or in the restaurant...if you want pure nature you should go there...no matter whether you're on a biker, car...

Actually, the food always tastes very good (assuming you get there before 6 p.m. and the chef is still in a good mood) but if you find out after the official opening times that it's closed (Monday), that doesn't matter. Nowhere does it say on a board whether it is closed for a short time or not open for a longer period of time due to whatever...!? Absolutely not recommended, not customer friendly at all!

Super great restaurant, rustic interior and spacious outdoor beer garden in a rafting atmosphere. This is a great destination for a bike tour from Oranienburg, Liebenwalde, Neuholland and the surrounding area. The service was super friendly and the food was simply heavenly. Modern dishes and old GDR classics, everyone will be fed up here! Price-performance is totally fulfilled here. We will be back!

The food is so delicious after a hike, from hearty to dessert everything is served with love.

Yesterday, eight of us went to dinner at the raftsman's. The drinks, such as the apple spritzer, were lukewarm. The latte macchiato was served without a spoon or sugar. You could have asked, but the nice waitress was completely overwhelmed, so you felt sorry. The second waitress was very unfriendly and slapped the plates in front of us without providing cutlery, pepper or salt shakers. The food value for money was really bad and the dishes weren't good either. Everything was carelessly arranged. All eight people said that too. In addition, the small jetty was completely unsuitable for children because the jetty elements on the side were totally wobbly. A small push would have been enough for children or adults to fall into the pond. We raised the issue with the jetty and were told that the boss already knew about it. We were there for the first and last time.

This was our second time here today and we were very satisfied. The food tastes great and is plentiful, the staff is very nice. We'll be back.

It was our first time visiting the raftsman. We enjoyed the food very much. The service was very nice. Price performance is very good. There are a few animals for children to pet. We sat outside in the beer garden in the best weather. We'd love to come back. And I really liked it.

Service miserable! Guests are ignored, even though the number of visitors was very manageable. We left after half an hour, even that didn't interest the staff. Was our last visit, there are enough restaurants/beer gardens that are happy to welcome guests and serve them.

Great, rustic excursion restaurant with a beautiful beer garden. Perfect for bike trips.

Spontaneously took a short break from cycling and of course ate something. Even if the food wasn't on the table after 5 minutes, it was freshly prepared and delicious. The portion was plentiful. The service was friendly and accommodating. Certainly we will come back.

After our neighboring table said that they waited 1.5 hours for the order, we also left after waiting 30 minutes. I fully understand the catastrophic situation of the catering industry in Germany, but not for the fact that the waitress went in and out several times WITHOUT even taking an order in our corner.

We got there by chance, were in Schmachtenhagen near the old farmer's market and were wondering out loud where to get good German cuisine and then the neighboring table said "well, here in Bernöwe". No sooner said than done, off to Bernöwe Zum Flößer. The restaurant is in a very quiet location near the Oder Havel Canal. After a short walk off to eat, it was very good and plentiful, we didn't regret it and are repeat customers. I didn't think it would be full, but it's a real insider tip and well attended. 👍

As a cyclist, you will immediately be barked at at the fence about having to use the rim killer stands, which are completely unsuitable for racing bikes. They are in the last corner, cannot be seen and do not offer a trustworthy place to leave your bike there. Even on a winter day with little activity in the parking lot, nothing could be done. Aggro mood. Well then not. Not a hospitable place.

Very friendly welcome and the food was simply delicious. But, dear chef, half on the plate would be enough and even then the price would still be justified. You feel comfortable inside and out and can only recommend it.

Hallo Wir waren das erste Mal zum Flösser. Da wir mit dem Rad unterwegs waren, wollten wir nur eine Kleinigkeit und das Würzfleisch, war das beste ,was wir jemals gegessen haben.

Nettes, rustikales Ambiente inmitten herrlicher Natur! Kühles Bier, erfrischende Eisbecher!

Ein netter Ausflug mit dem Rad. Leider war aus Mitarbeitermangel viel Essen aus. Die Mitarbeiterin war aber trotz allem sehr bemüht.

Schöner uriger Biergarten im Grünen. Wir waren auf einer Radtour durch Hinweisschilder an der Strecke auf das Lokal aufmerksam geworden. Der Abstecher lohnt sich. Essen können wir nicht beurteilen, waren "nur" zum Durstlöschen dort.

Das Ambiente u d Lage sind zauberhaft. Leider kann ich das nicht v Personal sagen und das zum 2.Mal. Nach einiger Wartezeit sind wir dann gegangen. Die Begrüßung war beiderseits herzlich, jedoch werden eben Stammgäste bevorzugt bedient, trotz späterer Ankunft. Es war auch nicht voll. Jedenfalls sind wir wieder aufgestanden und sind gegangen. OB DAS ESSEN SCHMECKT, KEINE AHNUNG, DENN WIR HABEN JA KEINE BEACHTUNG GEFUNDEN.OB ICH DAS RESTAURANT EMPFEHLEN KANN...??? WIR haben ja nicht mal die Karte o eine Bedienung an unserem Tisch gesehen..und nein, wir riechen nicht u sehen auch nicht wie Gruselmonster aus.ICH BIN JEDENFALLS SEHR ENTTÄUSCHT 😞

Bedienung flott und freundlich . Der Havelzander auf Schmorgurke war super. Die Bratkartoffeln (zuviel Speck und zu braun gebraten) zum Flößersteak haben noch Verbesserungspotenzial. Ansonsten ein schönes Ausflugslokal.

Meine 2. Rezession für dieses Restaurant. Habe dort zur Taufe meines Sohnes mit den Gästen gegessen. Reibungslose Absprache mit dem netten Chef, super freundliches Personal, gutes Essen und eine lockere, schöne Atmosphäre. Optimal mit Kleinkindern, die sich hier noch frei bewegen dürfen und Laute von sich geben 😃 In anderen Restaurants kommen da bereits abfällige Blicke und Unverständnis selbst wenn das Kind sich völlig im Rahmen u erzogen benimmt.

Bei schönem Wetter kann man gut im freien Speisen.

Wir waren Ostermontag dort essen,waren auf den Ansturm, nicht vorbereitet,so das fast alle Speisen nicht mehr da waren. Bedienung war Okay, nicht gerade sehr günstig.

Zuerst kam das Wasser für den Hund. Herzlichen Dank. Ein sehr guter, weil nicht dünner, großer Kaffee und der leckere Kuchen. Echte Empfehlung am Havelradweg.
