Well, the food was okay, but the portions were pretty small. The hunter's sauce was a tiny jar, and the schnitzel was deep-fried and made of ground meat. The price was okay, though. Despite being open until 10:00 PM, drinks were already out by 9:40 PM, but the regulars were still served 10 minutes later.

Well done! Despite the flea market, great music on a stage, and the correspondingly large number of guests yesterday, the food was good, prepared quickly for the number of orders. Despite the chaotic, constantly changing people at each table and the loud music, which made communication difficult, the staff remained calm and worked through the meal bit by bit. We'd be happy to return, and praise the service.

Amazing that something like this still exists! I happened upon Petershagen and slept around the corner. I went there twice in the same day. The friendliness of the staff is truly outstanding these days! Unbeatable and without exception! Young or experienced doesn't matter, everyone is incredibly friendly and customer-focused! Plus, a gigantic selection: dishes for a small appetite/price (e.g., fish sandwiches) as well as large dishes (fish pan, steaks, burgers). 10!!! beers on tap! My samples were cold and served in individual containers (e.g., Zwick'l in a matching stein)! I'd happily ride 112km on my e-bike for that!

We arrived Sunday evening after registering. Everything was great, even though all the spots were taken. The service was very attentive, which was something completely different. The location, right on the Weser Cycle Path, is really great. We'll be happy to visit again.

A very nice beer garden, with a beautiful view of the coal-fired power plant. The coffee was very good. The only thing was the young waiter, who either missed his calling or skipped the friendliness seminar during his training...

The food was pretty good. The beer was tasty too. Since we didn't have a reservation, it was difficult to get a table in the shade at first. When we finally got one, we had to leave by 6:30 PM at the latest because it was also reserved. We were in a hurry with the food and didn't have a good experience. Suddenly, people were seated at our table who also didn't have a reservation, but were seated just like that. When we asked another colleague, they said the table wasn't reserved at all. So, there was hardly any communication between us, and the other reserved tables were still empty when we left. We definitely won't go there again.

Very dubious restaurant. I responded to an advert on eBay classifieds on the first day they put it up and asked me several times to reply quickly. Today they wrote to me saying we've already found one and it's been almost 2 months, thanks again!!

The food was, as always, delicious. Various fish fillets, fried fish, and herring are always a hit, especially with delicious fried potatoes. The service, however, could be improved. Getting an appetizer in time before the main courses was logistically impossible. And drinks were asked for far too rarely. If you wanted to order another beer at the bar, you were sent back out... Well, the staff were very friendly, no question, but the organization was terrible!

The chicken burger was okay. It cost €21.00 with fries and mayo. A fish sandwich with a twist for €16.50 was unfortunately not tasty. The fish was unfortunately cooked completely dry. The waiter's response was: I'll pass it on. That's it. We won't be back.

A highly recommended restaurant with a beer garden right on the Weser River. The focus of the food is fish, but schnitzel and burgers are also available. Both fish and meat dishes have always been good to very good, especially for the comparatively reasonable prices. The food arrives relatively quickly 👍🏻 Many different beers on tap. We've always sat outside when the weather's nice, so I can't rate the restaurant inside.

We were at the Schifferhaus on Sunday, July 6, 2025. We had a €40 voucher from the end of 2023 that they no longer accepted. As a gesture of goodwill, we felt they could have accepted at least half. My girlfriend's meal contained a 2cm piece of plastic. Even then, they just said "thank you." It's a shame that a long-time customer is treated like this.

The food was truly delicious. I had a rump steak, which was cooked to perfection (medium), served with delicious herb butter and a super-delicious salad, and I also chose a baked potato. My friends had burgers, which were also delicious, and no side dishes because the burger was quite large. The waiters were very friendly and on the ball. It was very busy, so a few minor mistakes were made, but nothing they couldn't correct with their friendly approach.

The waiters there seem to be completely overwhelmed. We had to wait a very long time for our order to be taken. Several waiters repeatedly walked past me and my companion without asking if we wanted to order something. The waitresses all looked very grim and were extremely unfriendly at first. As the evening progressed, their mood improved somewhat. The table was dirty, with dead flies on the table, which was very unappetizing. When I asked for the table to be wiped, it was done. The quality of the food is nothing special, it's OK. All in all, I am very disappointed with the restaurant. I would not eat here again. I was not impressed by the service, the cleanliness, or the food.

This is my fourth time here and I've been very satisfied each time. The food is delicious, the prices and portions are reasonable in my opinion, and the beer is ice cold. There's a large selection of beers, and the staff and owner are friendly and helpful. The beer garden has a great location.

Today we were once again at the best fish restaurant far and wide along the Weser River👏 and, of course, ate fish again. Three kinds of fish (sea bream fillet, redfish fillet, and sea bass fillet). Our service, Angel Anja, once again, served us exquisitely and anticipated our every wish. The highlight was the chain grease from the belly button! High-end culinary delights😂🤣It's always amazing here. Not necessarily. The fish was cooked too long, I got regular beer for a non-alcoholic Alster, and it was unnaturally loud. You don't need to go back.

Yesterday, two of us spontaneously went there for lunch. We opted for the asparagus menu and were delighted by the portion size and the delicious taste. The very friendly service and relatively short wait time also convinced us; we'll be back.

A great restaurant on the Weser. We ate and drank excellently here. There are many different beers on tap. My favorite beer was also there. Simply great. The service was friendly and quick. We became aware of the restaurant because of the good reviews here and went there at short notice. Despite preparations for the evening event, we were able to choose a table and have lunch. Our service was very nice and friendly, as was the entire team that was present. The selection of food was very good, the portions were large. Unfortunately we didn't manage to do everything; upon request, everything was packed up to take away. When our car unfortunately broke down, two young men were quickly summoned to help by a service person. We can only recommend the Schifferhaus in all respects. If we are in the area again, we would be happy to come back, but then without a car breakdown…

We were outside in the beer garden today! Here you will find a beautiful ambience and can look out over the Weser cycle path. The fried fish with baked potatoes and a great side salad and also the kibbeling with fries were very tasty! Great portions for a fair & very reasonable price! Where is this still available today? The Schifferhaus serves good home-style cooking, everything prepared fresh and very tasty. The price-performance ratio is good and very fair. The beer selection (freshly tapped!) is very good, there is even Guinness 😅 The fish dishes are varied and the fries are simply unbeatably delicious!!! Definitely worth a visit 👍

In short: top food. I was very surprised to return after 30 years to the once smoke-filled pub where I played billiards as a teenager. Not only were the fries absolutely perfect, but also the vegetarian burger with red cabbage patty. Keep it up! I look forward to my next visit home – and to you.

We've just eaten some super tasty gruel with fried potatoes etc. and a really great cheeseburger with crispy fries. Special requests were gladly taken into account. We wanted lunch at 1 p.m. The beer garden outside was completely empty, and there was no one inside the restaurant either. There were 4 people sitting at 2 tables in the winter garden. A small table for two at the entrance was free, but there was a strong draft from the door. So we sat down at a table for four and waited for service. When she came she made it clear to us that we were not allowed to sit with two people at a table for four. ??? As I said, the store was empty and nothing was reserved. We then went and had a very good meal in another restaurant in town. We won't be coming back. This can also scare away your guests.

A surprisingly wonderful discovery Although the small street that leads to the restaurant doesn't seem very inviting at first glance, the Zum Alten Fischerhaus turns out to be a real gem. From the moment we walked in we were struck by the warm and welcoming atmosphere. The furnishings are tasteful and convey a cozy, traditional atmosphere without appearing old-fashioned. What really made the evening special, however, was the excellent service. The staff was extremely friendly, attentive and accompanied us through the evening with a smile. The food was fantastic! The green beans with bacon were fresh, perfectly seasoned and a great start to a delicious main course. The beef roulade dish with red cabbage, pear and cranberries was not only visually appealing, but also outstanding in taste. The flavors harmonized perfectly with each other and left nothing to be desired. Finally, a wonderfully strong espresso rounded off the culinary experience. Overall, a great evening at a restaurant that we will certainly visit again. A clear recommendation for anyone looking for excellent cuisine in a charming ambience!

Today I was in Petershagen for dinner in the restaurant "Zum Alten Fischerhaus", the restaurant is located on Schifferstrasse, not far from the Weser cycle path. The very cozy restaurant "Zum Alten Fischerhaus" also offers fish dishes, but there are also a number of other dishes to choose from, there should be something for everyone. A beer garden with a lighthouse completes the concept, a nice option in summer temperatures. I ate beef roulades with a delicious sauce, plus red cabbage and boiled potatoes. I really liked the food I really enjoyed the restaurant “Zum Alten Förster”. 🙏🙏🙏💕💕💕
